Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 : Foundation of a Legend

The summer sun peeked through the window blinds as Satoshi tied the laces of his sneakers. It had been five years since he'd reincarnated into this world, and each day had been a step forward—emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Today, he walked to school with Nobita, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo. Their chatter filled the morning air—Nobita joking clumsily, Shizuka laughing gently, Suneo bragging about something new, and Gian occasionally barking mock orders like a self-appointed general.

At school, they met Dekisugi, the top-performing student but still less than Satoshi's own. Unlike the old timeline where Satoshi kept to himself, this time he had immersed into life, joined adventures, shared laughter, and felt the warmth of friendship.

He wasn't just an observer—he was part of the group.

During lunch breaks, they'd all sit under the school's sakura tree, sharing food and silly jokes. Shizuka would often bring extra snacks, and Gian—surprisingly—had started to enjoy their peaceful lunches more than being a bully. Satoshi's presence had changed the group in quiet, subtle ways.

Dekisugi leaned over one day and said, "You're different, Satoshi. You learn fast… and it feels like you're always planning something."

Satoshi just smiled. "Maybe. Or maybe I'm just making the most of every day."

What Dekisugi didn't know was that every evening, after completing system quests and daily training, Satoshi would use his late father's old laptop. Hidden in his closet, the machine was dusty but functional—a relic from his past life.

He used it to research Bitcoin and the financial trends of this world, comparing them with his memories from Earth. He knew that a golden opportunity was approaching—a chance to build unimaginable wealth before the world even realized it.

Satoshi never wasted pocket money. No candies, no toys, no games. Every yen was saved with precision. His grandma had initially been suspicious, but when he showed her graphs, predictions, and calmly explained, she began to trust his vision.

One evening, he knelt beside her and said, "Grandma, I've never asked you for anything useless, right? This one time… I just need your help. I can't buy things like this because I'm still a child. But if you become the official buyer, we can invest together."

She looked at her grandson—calm, mature, with eyes too wise for his age—and finally agreed. They purchased 1 million yen worth of Bitcoin at its infancy. She didn't understand the full picture, but she trusted his instincts more than anything else.

Meanwhile, Satoshi had been carefully managing his stat points. The system allowed one daily point through effort and bonus ones from quests. Over the years, he had stockpiled them instead of spending them blindly.

When he asked the system once about a peak human's average stats, the answer came cold and clinical:

"The highest a natural adult human body can develop is around 100 per stat. Exceptional individuals like Olympians may reach slightly above. However, with the system, host may go beyond. Cap limit set to 300 per stat with system assistance."

Satoshi grinned when he heard that. Three times the peak of humanity, he thought.

He had already pushed his Strength, Agility, and Perception beyond 250. He could lift heavy furniture alone, outrun bicycles, and spot a coin under grass with a glance. He had photographic memory, could copy martial arts movements by watching once, and could dodge a ball mid-flight with supernatural reflexes.

Even Gian, once the biggest kid in the class, now looked at him with awe.

Five years later, now aged ten, he stood nearly shoulder-to-shoulder with most teenagers. His body was lean and cut like an athlete's, his skin pale like polished jade, and his face had the kind of sharp handsomeness that made people stare. Shizuka had become noticeably shy around him lately, and even teachers had started treating him with unusual respect.

He had earned every bit of it—with sweat, pain, and discipline.

On the last day before summer break, the school was abuzz with excitement. Students ran through the halls, throwing paper airplanes and saying goodbye. As Satoshi packed up, Nobita came over, smiling.

"Hey, Satoshi. Wanna stay over at my place tonight? We'll watch movies, eat snacks, and maybe play with each other and also ask others!"

Satoshi blinked, then smirked mischievously. "You sure? You know I'll beat you at every game, right?"

Nobita laughed. "Yeah, yeah! But it's always more fun with you around."

Satoshi nodded. "Alright. Let's do it."

That evening, after walking home with Nobita, he arrived at the familiar doorstep. The house looked just as warm and welcoming as ever. Nobita's mom opened the door, her apron still tied around her waist. She smiled warmly.

"Oh! Satoshi-kun, welcome. You're always welcome here."

Inside, the smell of curry filled the air. Nobita ran to his room while Satoshi stayed back for a moment, watching Nobita's mom work in the kitchen. She looked just like a classic, hardworking housewife—graceful, caring, and always a little worried about her son's antics.

He walked up quietly and said, "Don't worry. I'll protect Nobita in school. He's not alone anymore."

She turned, surprised at the words—and more so by the maturity in his voice. Her eyes softened as she patted his head.

"Thank you, Satoshi-kun. I really appreciate that."

The night passed in laughter and playful fights over snacks and games.

Satoshi got a mischievous though about Nobita' s mom and started to plan next day how he will spend it .

As Satoshi lay in the futon next to Nobita, staring at the ceiling, he thought:

I've laid the foundation. Friendships, knowledge, training, money. I've prepared for the future.

But this is just the beginning.
