Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Steps Toward the Future

The morning sun crept over the horizon, casting a golden hue on the streets of Tokyo. Satoshi opened his eyes the moment his system chimed.

He smiled faintly. Every day, every drop of sweat, was one step toward strength—a strength that would shape this new life into something better. Slipping on his sneakers, he ran his usual route along the quiet streets, his breaths measured, his eyes sharp with purpose. Each movement felt smoother, lighter, more powerful.

In his previous life, Raghuveer's body had been eaten away by illness. Now, Satoshi was rebuilding it from the ground up—with the help of a system, yes, but more importantly, with will.

As he returned home, sweat lining his brow, he made a decision.

At breakfast, he looked at his grandmother, who sat by the window sipping green tea.

"Obaa-chan," he said gently, "I want to transfer to a new school—the one where Nobita studies."

She blinked, surprised. "But you've only just started talking to them."

"I know," he replied, "but I want to be part of their world. I want to grow with them—not just in strength, but as a person."

She paused, then gave him a knowing smile. "If that's what your heart says, then let's begin the process today."

By afternoon, after submitting forms and meeting with the school counselor, Satoshi found himself once again at the park. Nobita, Gian, Shizuka, and Suneo were already there, laughing, playing tag, and making up silly games. He joined them without hesitation, feeling the warmth of true childhood for the first time in two lifetimes.

They played until the sky turned orange.

That evening, Satoshi accompanied Nobita home. At the door, Tamako, Nobita's mother, welcomed him with a gentle smile. She was dressed in a casual home yukata, her expression kind and graceful. Her presence radiated a quiet strength—a woman managing life alone now.

"Come in, Satoshi-kun," she said warmly. "Nobita told me you've become good friends."

He nodded and stepped in, removing his shoes with practiced respect. He and Nobita sat in the living room, watching an old cartoon rerun while sipping on juice and tea.

Tamako returned shortly with a tray. "Here you go," she said, setting down cups. "It's nice to see Nobita smiling more."

Then, curiosity flickered in her gaze. "Satoshi-kun… I hope it's not too much to ask, but what about your parents?"

There was a moment of silence. Then Satoshi lowered his eyes, speaking with a trembling voice he didn't have to fake. "They… passed away in a car accident. I live with my grandmother now."

Tamako's eyes welled with sympathy. She gently sat beside him and, in a motherly gesture, wrapped her arms around his small frame.

"I'm so sorry, dear. That's too much for a child to bear."

In her warmth, Satoshi felt something stir—grief, comfort, and the strange sensation of being held again. It reminded him of what he'd lost… and what Nobita still had.

But then, Tamako's voice dropped. "Actually… I haven't told Nobita yet, but… his father passed away two months ago. Heart failure."

Satoshi's eyes widened. "I… I'm so sorry."

"He's too young to understand fully," she whispered. "I'm doing my best to keep things steady, but… you seen mature than other children your age , so please keep protect him in future."

She trailed off. It was hard. It was always hard being alone.

"Is everything alright? Do you need any help financially?" Satoshi asked, genuinely.

She glanced at him, surprised by such a mature question from a child. After a long pause, she gave a small, sad smile. "We're getting by. I've started sewing for local shops again."

Satoshi thought for a moment.

"My grandmother is looking for someone to help with cooking and cleaning around the house. We have space, and she loves company. Maybe… would you be willing to work part-time for us? We can pay well."

Tamako blinked. "That's… very thoughtful of you, Satoshi-kun."

He smiled. "You can meet my grandma and decide for yourself. She's really kind."

Tamako hesitated, but then nodded. "Alright. Let's meet tomorrow."

The next morning, the transfer process was still ongoing, so Satoshi remained at home after his morning jog.

As he returned from his run, wiping sweat from his forehead, he noticed a familiar figure approaching the gate.

Tamako.

She wore a modest yet elegant beige dress, her hair neatly tied back, her expression unsure.

"Welcome," Satoshi said with a bright smile. "Come in!"

Tamako stepped inside the grand mansion, marveling at its traditional design blended with modern luxury. Her gaze briefly landed on Satoshi's fit figure , his well defined abs and sweat on him, she blinked, caught off guard.

"He's really just a child…" she murmured to herself, realizing how mature his aura was—too mature for someone barely five.

He led her to the tea room, where his grandmother was waiting. The two women exchanged greetings, and soon, laughter filled the space. They discussed work hours, pay, and what would be expected. His grandmother, ever the gracious host, welcomed Tamako wholeheartedly.

"I think you'll be a lovely addition to our home," she said, smiling. "We'd love to have you."

Tamako bowed deeply. "Thank you. I'll do my best."

As the conversation wrapped up, Satoshi felt a sense of peace.

Two lives—once broken—were now slowly weaving into each other. And his journey had only just begun.
