Chapter 74 - The Shopping and Revelations

She and Aeren left the mansion and went to the garage.

She opened the garage, and Aeren looked inside. He could see cars and bikes lined up everywhere. Over 100 cars and bikes filled the garage. She took a sports bike key and threw it to Aeren.

Aeren caught the key and saw the pure black sports bike. She looked at Aeren and said, "You're driving the bike."

Aeren stared at her for a few seconds, nodded, and said, "Okay."

Aeren put the key in the bike and she sat behind him.

BROOOOOOMMMMM!

Swish!

Aeren drove the bike faster than even professional bike racers. She gripped his waist tightly and said, "You're driving too fast!"

Aeren heard her, slowed the bike, looked at her, and asked, "Where are we going?"

She looked at the massive shopping mall ahead and said, "We're going to that shopping mall."

Aeren looked at the massive shopping mall and drove there. Everyone was looking at Aeren with his sunglasses and his clothes—after the makeover, he looked handsome. Some people were also looking at her, wanting to see her beautiful face.

She and Aeren entered the mall hand in hand, with everyone around them watching in awe. They went to men's clothing shops where she let him try on several outfits and bought a bunch of clothes with different designs.

Then they went to a shoe store, and she bought over 1,000 pairs of shoes for Aeren. After that, they went to a mobile shop and bought the latest phone for him, along with many other electronic products.

They went to get contact lenses for Aeren, so they visited an optical store. She asked the receptionist, "We need contact lenses for him."

The receptionist looked at her, then saw Aeren with his eyes hidden behind sunglasses. "Remove your glasses," the receptionist said.

"No, he can't do that," she said with a serious tone.

The receptionist looked at her and asked, "How can I give you properly sized contact lenses for his eyes?"

She started looking at the receptionist awkwardly and said, "Okay, promise me you won't laugh at him because he's blind, right?"

Both the receptionist and Aeren stared at her in shock. The receptionist then turned to Aeren, who was still looking at her, and said, "Hmm, okay."

Aeren removed his sunglasses and looked at the receptionist. His eyes almost hypnotized her, and she stared at him. The receptionist had never seen eyes like this—she couldn't even tell if he had any eye condition. His eyes looked more beautiful than anything in this world.

She slapped the desk and said angrily, "You've seen him now. Give us contact lenses for him, and put your glasses back on."

The receptionist glanced at her and felt irritated but nodded. She provided all the contact lens sizes she had and said,

"Tell me later which one fits perfectly, and I'll make them for you. If none of these sizes fit, just return to me and I'll give you the best life—oh sorry, I mean the best lenses you could ever imagine." A smile appeared on her face.

Aeren nodded at her words, and she took his hand and left with him.

She and Aeren shopped for several more hours before returning to their bike. This time she took the bike and drove home.

She looked tired as she removed all the masks from her face, changed out of her protective clothing, and put on casual clothes. Aeren went to his room.

She went to Aeren's room and opened the door. She saw him half-naked and slowly stepped forward, hugged him, and said,

"Do you know that when you dove into the water that day, I had lost everything in my life? They had given me money for my business, and when the money transferred to my account, I felt like I had lost my life and was about to jump into the water. I was thinking of anything positive that could make me happy, but I couldn't find a single happy moment in my past. I only saw the struggle I went through to build my company, and when my face became like this, everyone betrayed me."

She paused for a moment and continued, "My clients started leaving me. I began losing my reputation, and when I went to the doctor for facial surgery, they said my life might be in danger."

She stared at Aeren's eyes and continued, "But I said I didn't care about my life—just make it possible. But they failed the surgery and my face became more disgusting. Then I sold my company, made offers to others, and left to die. And I saw you."

She continued staring at him, getting closer, and said, "You looked decent in your clothes and had a handsome face. I couldn't see any reason for you to die. But you dove into the water, which surprised me and made me want to save you. So I dove in too and was able to save you."

She put her thumb on his lips and said, "But you took my first kiss that day and didn't give me anything in return. So I followed you for a month, but you seemed more and more useless. Still, I liked your uselessness and wanted to look at you every day."

She grabbed the back of Aeren's head and said, "But one day you disappeared, and I was lost again in my life. After years of waiting, you still haven't given me my reward."

She pulled his head toward her and kissed him.

Aeren closed the book and thought, This is the book I always wanted to take.

Aeren glanced around—he was in the world of knowledge, reading the book he had taken from the man on the throne. Aeren had read everything in the book and gained the knowledge he wanted to acquire.
