Aeren and she entered the mansion. Aeren saw the massive hall with white marble everywhere—an 8,000 square foot mansion that was empty. He walked around a little, then turned to her and asked about his room.
She stared at him, thinking Aeren would be awed by her mansion, but she was surprised by his complete lack of reaction. So she decided to show him around and display her mansion as her pride, demonstrating her superiority.
"Let's go. I'll show you my whole mansion first," she said.
She took his hand and led him to her clothing room. She opened the door and said with a smile, "This is my clothing shopping room. All my clothes are kept here—different brands, different styles, and generational quality. Some haven't even come to market yet. This room has over 10,000 pieces of clothing."
Aeren looked at the room—it resembled a shopping mall. The room was large and had everything a shopping mall would provide, maybe even bigger than an average mall. All the clothes were arranged perfectly like in a store, and there were changing rooms that were larger than normal.
Aeren looked at himself, wanting to feel desire so he could learn to control it, but he felt nothing because all the clothes were for women, not men.
She stared at Aeren, expecting surprise or some reaction, but there was nothing. Her pride wouldn't let her give up, so she took his hand again and went to another room. This time it was her boot and sandal collection. Like the previous room, the entire space was filled with sandals and boots, and this time there were men's boots too.
Aeren saw this and wondered what she had done in the past to collect all the latest stock and future products from companies. Still, he felt no desire for anything.
She stared at Aeren again, expecting something, but he gave no reaction at all. She gave up trying to surprise him and said, "Come with me."
She took his hand again and led him to another room—this time a salon. In this salon, everything was available for personal care, all the equipment and maybe more than anyone could use.
She made him sit in a chair in front of a mirror. Aeren had long hair covering his head and a beard that had taken over his entire chin.
Aeren was slightly surprised that anyone could recognize him with this appearance. Did that mean he had looked like this from the beginning, or did those around him have some way to detect him?
While Aeren was thinking about this, she started cutting his hair. Slowly and steadily, she spent hours cutting his hair, then began working on his beard. When she was cutting his beard, her eyes met his. His eyes looked pure white, but there was something in the middle she couldn't identify. What surprised her more was that there seemed to be nothing in his eyes. How was he able to see, or was he blind?
"Are you blind?" she asked.
Aeren looked in the mirror and said, "No, I'm not blind."
She was even more surprised and asked again, "Then where are your eye lens?"
Aeren looked at his eyes. He could see his eye lens, but their color was gone—they had no color anymore. Before, he had black eye lens, but now they were colorless.
"They have no color anymore," Aeren answered.
She was stunned by his words and asked, "Were you born like this?"
Aeren looked at her in the mirror and said, "No, I was born with black eye lens."
She stared at him, wanting to look more and more. His eyes were attracting her increasingly. Out of curiosity, she asked, "How did they change like this?"
"Something happened in the past that changed my eyes. But I can see clearly," Aeren said, staring at her in the mirror. He could see her desire to look more.
She was still staring at his eyes but resisted her desire, shook her head, and continued cutting his beard.
After finishing, she went to another room, brought back sunglasses, and put them on him.
"Don't let others see your eyes, and don't remove these glasses outside the mansion," she said with a serious voice. She stared at Aeren again and said, "Go wash yourself—you still smell. I'll order some clothes for you."
Aeren nodded but didn't know where to go. "Where should I go?" he asked.
She had forgotten and led the way, showing him his room. This room was too big for a single person, but Aeren accepted her offer and went to the bathroom.
Aeren took an hour to clean himself. When he emerged in a towel and looked at his room, he found new clothes on the bed.
He took a t-shirt and jeans and put them on without question.
Aeren returned to the hall and looked for her. She was sitting on the sofa typing on her phone and didn't notice him. So Aeren approached her. When her eyes fell on him, she saw a handsome man and hadn't thought he could be this attractive. His eyes made him otherworldly.
Her mouth fell open in shock, and she shook her head again. She went to Aeren and said, "Now you're done with everything. Let's go shopping. We need clothes, shoes, and other items for your style, and we also need contact lenses for your eyes. Sunglasses are a temporary solution."
Aeren stared at her and nodded. He also needed to observe more humans so he could learn about control. He had to connect with humans more so he could change his perspective and then control that perspective itself. "Okay."
She heard him and began putting a mask on her face and glasses over her eyes. She wore full-body clothing that protected all her body parts, including her neck.
Now she didn't look ugly anymore. And she looked like a celebrity, hiding her face behind her mask.
