The battle didn't last long. As the first rays of morning sun pierced the sky, the battle ended.
The once vast camp seemed suddenly empty. The Protoss warriors, along with their leader, had all perished in battle. Among the Celestials, the Heavenly Blade Martial God had fallen, resulting in a loss of twenty thousand Celestial warriors, leaving fewer than five thousand remaining.
The battlefield was littered with corpses, and rivers of blood flowed. It was only then that the Celestials realized that the Protoss' blood flowed through them, much like their own!
The Protoss and Celestials shared a common origin. This had long been suspected by the Celestials' wise men, but it was only speculation. Only after experiencing a relentless war could they discover this fact and feel a chilling chill.
The Celestials and Protoss shared a common origin, which very likely meant they came from the same place.
But regardless, the Celestial Clan represents one era, the Divine Clan another. Two eras, one new and the other anew, each culminating in a bitter struggle. Even though they share the same roots, bloodshed is inevitable.
"Saint Lady, should we still contact our clansmen?"
A black-clad high priest asked expressionlessly.
Our clansmen?
Liuli suddenly felt a little ridiculous. Their clansmen had abandoned them. They were now worthless, discarded children. As much as she hated to believe it, at this point, what difference did it make whether she believed it or not?
"No need,"
Liuli replied slowly.
In the distance, Wei Silong stared blankly at a corpse, flanked by Wei Xingbai and Mo Changli.
Her eldest brother, Wei Wuming, the eldest son of the Wei family, had just died in battle on this very land.
"Sister Long, Big Brother..."
Wei Xingbai opened his mouth to speak, but suddenly found himself at a loss for words. He had always disapproved of his brother's many actions and decisions, but only today did he realize he had been wrong.
During the battle, both men saw Wei Silong in danger, but it was Wei Wuming who rushed forward first.
Big Brother was fighting for his family, while Wei Xingbai was fighting for himself.
"So what should we do next?"
The high priest seemed to agree with Liuli's decision not to contact the tribe. After this battle, they would be homeless.
Liuli stared at the sky, silent for a long time. It wasn't that she didn't want to speak, but she didn't know. But the word "not knowing" wasn't something she could easily utter. She was the pillar of support for everyone present. If she lost her mind, everyone else would be lost too, and there would be no hope.
The world was so vast, and she suddenly realized she had nowhere else to go.
From time to time, strange lights flickered in the sky, and where they intersected, vast expanses of the void collapsed, signaling that the divine war had begun. Their battlefield wasn't confined to a narrow expanse of land, but rather the boundless void.
"Let's go east."
After a long pause, Liuli offered a direction.
East, even though she didn't know why, or what lay in store.
And so, in the days that followed, across the devastated landscape, one could see a team marching straight eastward. Despite the straight path, a hint of bewilderment lingered on every face, a sense of uncertainty about the future.
In the City of the Gods, a massive teleportation array had been erected at some point. Busy figures could be seen shuttling back and forth across the city, entering certain buildings or stepping onto the array and disappearing.
Two women approached from a distance. One was Bai Bing, the other a woman of reserved beauty and hidden grace, the woman named Su Su who had brought Ming Qi to the Jiufang Palace.
"Let's go. The teleportation array won't hold out for much longer."
Su Su said to Bai Bing.
Bai Bing said nothing, but took a few steps before suddenly stopping.
"I want to wait a few more days. Perhaps he's still alive."
Bai Bing's gaze fell on the distant teleportation array. The vast array flickered, flickering in and out. This array was an escape route to another world, built at great expense by the Dawn Chamber of Commerce. Passing through it would lead to a different world called Luolong, which was on the same level as Tianhuang. Reaching there would ensure one escaped this catastrophe.
Since the teleportation array was built, many have chosen to travel to the Luolong Realm, leaving Tianhuang behind completely. The number of people remaining in the City of Gods is dwindling.
"Ah..."
Su Su sighed softly, and fell silent.
The two stood for a moment, then turned back without entering the teleportation array.
...
Nameless Peak
At this moment, the nameless mountain had been razed to the ground by the catastrophe of doom, its landscape awash in devastation and lifeless. Yet, a conspicuous black pillar of light shot up from it, reaching the heavens.
Within the pillar of light, strange rays flickered, lightning surged, and earth-shattering roars echoed from time to time.
After a deafening roar, all the light faded, and the black pillar of light gradually faded, revealing a figure.
At this moment, Ming Qi slowly opened his eyes and surveyed the surroundings.
His eyes had become incredibly profound, revealing the past wherever he looked. Within them seemed to be countless stars, and beneath these floating stars lay the hidden truth of the Great Dao.
He raised his head and saw several battlefields raging in the void. With a casual grasp, the chaotic void suddenly shattered.
Ming Qi underwent a complete transformation. After surviving the apocalyptic catastrophe, he possessed both Daos and entered the realm of the Martial God. It wasn't until his moment of complete enlightenment that he realized the Supreme Diagram, which had accompanied him from beginning to end, had another name: the Book of Time.
The Supreme is unique; time connects the past and the future.
However, to this day, Ming Qi remains unclear as to whether the Book of Time's appearance foreshadows the destruction of Tianhuang or is simply a coincidence brought about by his occasional time travel.
He casually removed the magic circle and retracted the God-Slaying Idol. With a single thought, Ming Qi traveled a thousand miles in an instant.
After entering the Martial God realm, his martial souls merged into one, giving rise to the Supreme Divine Soul. This not only integrated and refined his diverse knowledge, advancing it to a new level, but also illuminated many things he had previously failed to grasp.
His understanding of time, space, and life and death has reached an unprecedented level. It's fair to say that if Ming Qi so desired, he could condense a divine seal, create a divine city, and become Tianhuang's new deity.
However, with the apocalypse now complete and Tianhuang's very essence severely damaged, ascending to godhood at this moment would be a profoundly unwise decision.
With Ming Qi's progress, the chaotic space within the Supreme Diagram, or rather the Book of Time, has completely evolved into a world of its own. Its powerful aura, in harmony with the laws of nature, has immensely benefited those within, and their power levels have steadily risen.
But Ming Qi, in their eyes, is now akin to a god.
