On the battlefield, the warrior leader, who had originally thought he could completely suppress the Heavenly Blade Martial God, suddenly noticed his opponent's momentum surge, showing signs of surpassing his own in just a few seconds. A solemn expression fell on his face.
Over a thousand of them had come to carry out the oracle, but he was the only Martial God. This was precisely because they knew the Celestials couldn't unleash combat power exceeding that of a Martial God under the suppression of divine punishment. Unfortunately, they hadn't anticipated that, over the ages, the Celestials had developed a device that could temporarily suppress divine punishment, allowing them to unleash their full combat power.
After only a brief moment of thought, the warrior leader immediately charged forward, brandishing his sword.
"Dare to defy the divine punishment of the gods in private? Expect death!"
The warrior leader's loyalty to the gods was evident, and seeing the Heavenly Blade Martial God suppress divine punishment filled him with rage.
Suppressing divine punishment meant a serious challenge to the gods' authority, and the gods' duty was to protect and enforce that authority. Any opposition would end in death.
Seeing the Warrior Commander charging forward, the Heavenly Sword Martial God showed no fear. He roared to the heavens, his long sword, fueled by immense divine power, exuding a majestic and imposing aura of unstoppable power.
Having inflicted the divine curse, he knew no matter the outcome of this battle, and so, without hesitation, he sought to slay as many of his destined enemies as possible.
The divine powers collided, and the two men instantly staggered, though this time the Warrior Commander retreated even further, his expression shifting.
Clearly, the Warrior Commander hadn't gained the upper hand in the previous clash!
The Heavenly Sword Martial God laughed heartily, charging again with his sword.
The two battled far apart. In the distance, the Celestials and the Gods clashed fiercely. Within, the Earth Sword Martial God could be seen charging left and right like a tiger among a flock of sheep, untouched by human presence.
Upon witnessing this scene, the Heavenly Sword Martial God had already made up his mind: he must drag the Warrior Commander down with him to be buried with him!
Since he wasn't going to survive anyway, taking a Protoss Martial God with him before his death would be a fitting tribute to the ancestors of the Celestial Clan.
"Show some real skill! Is that all you have?"
The Heavenly Sword Martial God laughed wildly. This time, the Warrior Commander was once again thrown back. His slashing sword was no match for his long sword.
The Warrior Commander was also filled with shock and anger. This situation was something he had never anticipated. If he had anticipated this, he would never have rashly brought so few people with him.
Being both Martial Gods didn't mean there was no difference.
Seeing the Warrior Commander hesitate, the Heavenly Sword Martial God, fearing he might turn and attack the others, sneered again, "Have the gods in these hundreds of thousands of years produced a piece of trash like you? You're not even worthy of a dog!"
As he spoke, the Heavenly Sword Martial God continued his movements, his long sword swiping circles left and right. In an instant, thousands of blade beams, like falling stars, streaked towards the Warrior Commander in a dazzling stream of light.
The Warrior Commander, seemingly utterly enraged by the Heavenly Sword Martial God, clenched his sword with both hands, then separated them. However, as they did so, the single blade had become two.
"You don't know how to live or die!"
A frost frosted the Warrior Commander's face. He crossed his swords, and a curtain of light, condensed from divine power, appeared before him. It advanced, charging towards the Heavenly Sword Martial God.
Seeing the Warrior Commander strike again, the Heavenly Sword Martial God was overjoyed. He judged that if the stalemate continued, he could easily kill the Warrior Commander before the anti-god spell wore off!
If the Warrior Commander were slain, none of the remaining Protoss warriors would escape!
The Warrior Commander likely didn't flee because he hadn't anticipated that the Heavenly Blade Martial God's suppression of the divine punishment was only temporary. Once the Divine Rebellion Curse expired, he would completely lose his fighting power and face death.
The distance between the two men rapidly closed. In an instant, the Warrior Commander's crossed swords flashed, and a cross of sword energy tore through the void, slashing towards the Heavenly Blade Martial God. At the same time, the Warrior Commander continued to charge forward.
He wanted to strike with all his might, to crush his opponent's momentum!
The Warrior Commander charged forward, and the Heavenly Blade Martial God didn't retreat either. He launched a barrage of sword light, charging towards the Warrior Commander with an unstoppable momentum.
Both men held an unstoppable momentum at this moment. If either of them even considered retreating, their momentum would immediately be at a disadvantage. In a battle between the strongest, a disadvantage in momentum can even directly affect the success or failure of a battle.
The desperate clash in the distant battle group descended into unprecedented chaos. Liuli and the four high priests had also joined the fray. They were not adept at direct combat, but as the Celestial Clan warriors fell one after another, they were left with no other choice. Although the Earth Sword Martial God's power surpassed that of the Protoss warriors, he was alone, and the Celestial Clan warriors were no match for their strength.
The battle was chaotic and brutal. Over half of the Protoss warriors had been slain, leaving fewer than 500 remaining. However, the Celestial Clan warriors had suffered even greater casualties, with fewer than 10,000 remaining. While still holding a significant numerical advantage, it should be noted that at the start of the battle, the Celestial Clan had over 20,000 warriors!
The one-to-one-to-one-to-one casualty ratio sent a wave of despair down the spine of every Celestial Clan warrior.
At that moment, a dazzling ball of light suddenly erupted in the distance, rapidly growing in size, reaching the size of a mountain in the blink of an eye. Everyone looked up in shock, but aside from the vague sight of two figures within it, nothing else was visible.
The dazzling ball of light was a manifestation of the transformation of ultimate energy. The Heavenly Blade Martial God and the Warrior Commander chose a single blow to decide their fate!
Each of them possessed numerous magical skills, but their duel had never seen the use of earth-shattering, grand magical powers against magical arts. Their battle seemed somewhat superficial, yet they knew only too well that such a battle was the most direct test of each other's strength. Both shared a common goal: to swiftly end the other!
Destroying a Martial God outright is exceedingly difficult, but when two Martial Gods of comparable strength clash for the death, some things become surprisingly easy.
The dazzling ball of light had barely faded when, before everyone's horrified gaze, an even more intense radiance erupted from its core. Then, an unprecedented surge of powerful energy emanated from its center, spreading outward.
Destroying mountains and filling seas, splitting rocks and collapsing clouds!
The ball of light became dazzling once again, then began to plummet rapidly, instantly creating a massive crater in the ground. Light scattered, the earth cracked, and rumbling sounds echoed, as if the very earth itself were collapsing.
The Earth Sword Martial God, upon hearing the sound, was startled. He then raised his head and roared, his longsword unleashing a blindingly brilliant light, wiping out scores of the surrounding Protoss warriors!
"Brother, let me give you a ride!"
The Earth Sword Martial God whispered softly to himself, his eyes bloodshot.
