I kept practicing my sword swings until my arms were numb and felt like they would fall off at the shoulders.
I looked beside me as the young warrior kept his swings going and I grew determined not to fall behind. A new surge of energy burst through.
"Oh, would you look at that," someone said while chuckling.
"Shouldn't she be home cooking, why is she swinging a sword?" asked another.
"It must be a whim of the elders. Look, even Elder Hekar is here," the murmuring continued for a while. None of them even attempted to keep their voices low.
After what felt like two plus hundred swings later the young warrior stopped. I did one more before stopping.
Sighing with exhaustion as I lowered my arms.
"Who said you could stop?" Tua Tahir swaggered over and made his stance clear.
I glared over at him and tiredly lifted the sword above my head to start again. I stopped counting and just kept swinging until I lost track of my surroundings and the people around.
