PLAY;(five university student of futa are heading to school, when the school are still on strike. They all have a plan to do a project which they found online)
BOLA:(continue the conversation)
... wait a minute... can that talker thief gatekeeper let us in to the school when we are still on strike?
SIMON: I think he will...(rise his mouth up) As long we are going to give him money, so... his going to let us in.
CARO:(turn to them, which make them to stop)... and if he didn't allow. God gives me mouth...(Fold her hands together and turn to move forward, also the others move)
LOVE: please...caro act normal.you know we have to do this project...we all agree to try the project today. Right?
RICHARD: That true...(nodded to agree)
BOLA:(pidgin)me self agree with the thing wey she talk (They all continue their way to school)
FEW MINUTES LATER, THEY ALL GOT TO THE SCHOOL GATE
SIMON: Good day sir(greeting the gatekeeper)
GATEKEEPER:(stand on his feet from the wood chair he was seating) (speaking gibberish) good day ooo, o wa pelu heritage college, emi to o gbo nkankan t'eti e ti lo.
CARO:(in Yoruba and lower her voice) t'eti yin bati lo bawo le se gbo wa(if your ear is cut than how did you hear what we said)
LOVE:(she look at caro to warn her)
GATEKEEPER:(ignore caro words) what are you up to?(Turning to Simon)
SIMON: sir, please we are going to need your help...we want to make use of the Lab.
GATEKEEPER:(he shouted) where?!(Nibo!) Were you wan enter (in pidgin)
RICHARD:(in pidgin) oga, which one we wan answer?
CARO:Abi ooo...,I don't understand him...
SIMON: will you guys please maintain perfect silence (turns to the gatekeeper) we are sorry sir
GATEKEEPER:uhh... (Pidgin) Since when I don know una, only two person get sense for una group
BOLA:(pidgin) who no get sense among us now (about to turn it to chaos)
LOVE:(cut in) how much should we pay you, to let us in? because sir...we have somethings to do

CARO:(quickly cut in) God will not let us to be your children...
FOUR OF THEM:(shouted) Caro!!! Will you please...!
GATEKEEPER:(he nodded negatively) make I no talk make una bring five thousand naira make I pity una
RICHARD:(pidgin)u for cut our head go sell... Na only lad we wan used
GATEKEEPER:(pidgin) make una no disrespect me...I know my age ooo...(Getting angry)
LOVE:(pleading)sir, we are so sorry, please just ignore the words coming from there mouth (hold Simon hand) sir, let move to that side to talk better (she point to one place)
GATEKEEPER: okay (agree with her)
(They both move to the place)
SIMON:(get there) sir, please... what you call for us is much.can you reduce it for us?
GATEKEEPER:(pidgin) how much una wan drop?
LOVE:(look at Simon just to give a sign to talk) sir, let drop three thousand...
GATEKEEPER:(pidgin) The money small ooo.. but make I collect am... (smile) so that if I mistakingly break egg seller eggs so I fit see money give am.
SIMON: thank you sir(pull out the money from his pocket and gave it to the gatekeeper. They more conversation and all head back)
CARO:(when she saw them coming) wetin he con talk ooo(pidgin)(talking to love)

RICHARD:(turn to gatekeeper) (in pidgin) oga,u know say I like you, na you do wetin make me abuse you (smile) No vex oga
GATEKEEPER:(smile and take a look at Richard)vex no dey my dictionary (in pidgin)
THEY ALL HEAD TO THE LAB WHEN THEY GOT THERE,THEY BROUGHT OUT ALL THE INSTRUMENT THEY NEED
LOVE:(busy with her phone)we need to be careful by making use of the fentanyl and xylazine (walking around)
CARO:(looking at cupboard which contains chemicals) sure...(agree with love) Wow... I love this pink chemical (point to a chemical)
SIMON:(take a look at caro) Don't touch it!!!! That phenolphthalein...
RICHARD:(walking towards Simon) na you know that one ooo...(Speaking to Simon in pidgin)
SIMON:(turn to Bola whom was playing with the mouse in the cage)Bola, please let come together...so we can do this... We have only one hour...(The lab door was open by the gatekeeper)
GATEKEEPER:(pidgin) una time don start, I wan go out now... before una time complete, I go don come back...
LOVE: okay sir...(Gatekeeper exist)
SIMON: please let come closer (They all round the table and were putting on lab coat, nose mask, hand gloves and eyes protector)
SIMON:(bring out xylazine and fentanyl. Take one spoon of xylazine and put them in test tube.he added fentanyl to it.he shake it,they mix together and this brings out a light, blue colour. This all takes 10 minutes)
SIMON:(he take it up to look at it clearly) It's seem there is no mistake. The colour are same...
LOVE:(take the handphone, which they were watching.look at it)(nodded her head)it correct...
BOLA:(collect the phone from love and move backward from them)let take a look also...
RICHARD/CARO:(move close to Bola) make we look an also...(Pidgin)
CARO:(pidgin) we come do the thing also...
SIMON:(take off his eyes protector on his face) Are you guys done?... I need one of you to bring the mouse here.
CARO:(move to carry the cage) But, we also want to know it better, before that gatekeeper insult us (put the cage on the table closer to Simon)
SIMON/LOVE: please, can I have the phone...(Got surprised when they both speak at the same time)
LOVE:we need to know the measurements to used to inject the mouse.
BOLA:(place the phone to love hand) Are we not going to injured part of this mouse before we inject the ... You know....(Point to the mouse in the cage)
RICHARD:(pick up a little and trick strick) Have this... ( Point it towards Bola)
BOLA:((collect it from him, open the cage at the top. Take a look at mouse ) which part should I break?
SIMON: The leg will be ok.
BOLA:(bring out the mouse )can you help me, by holding the leg(talking to Richard. He hold the leg of mouse and BOLA hit the little stick on the part of the mouse leg which brings out blood from the position he hit the mouse. BOLA turn to Simon) inject it, before I put it inside...
SIMON:(bring out a new empty injection case and dip it into the test tube) But is 2cm?(Asking love)
LOVE:(nodded) yes...
SIMON:(bring out the injection from the test tude which contains of the chemical that they make. He inject it to the mouse) you can now put the mouse inside the cage (Give Bola the mouse)
BOLA PUT THE MOUSE IN THE CAGE AND CLOSE IT. THEY ALL FOCUS ON THE MOUSE. ONE MINUTE LATER, THE BLOOD ON THE MOUSE PART STARTED REDUCING)
BOLA:(he noticed it and point at it) Look! Look! Look! The blood is reducing...(Take a look at the mouse again)The wound is I'll!!!...(He was excited) I swear!!! This work (pidgin) The thing work
CARO: I Love this project we make...
RICHARD:(cut in) (pidgin) make I even try am for my body because of this my wound
(The rest of them turn to Richard when they heard him)
SIMON/LOVE (shouted) Don't do it!!!
RICHARD: (smile confusedly) why? But...(Point to the mouse) It was meant for human not mouse...let me use it than(joking)
SIMON: We are not 100 percent sure for human being!!!
RICHARD: Have inject it already...
FOUR OF THEM:(shouted) Richard!!!
RICHARD:(get confused) But, you inject it to that mouse and there is no effect, so...(Shake his head left and right slowly. Feeling something in his body) It's seem am feeling dizzy and...(Clean his eyes with his back hands)(In pidgin) E be like say I wan sleep, my body don dey weak (He fell to the floor)
BOLA:(walk towards to Richard with a doubting mind)(pidgin) If we take am serious e no mean u go dey use that one dey prank us (Tap Richard) Richard...Rich... Rich...(Tap him again)Rich... It's okay... Stop that rubbish.
SIMON:(Rush to gap the phone on the table and play it)
THE VIDEO: ...and if not careful, their is effect in human which is dangerous but we find out there is vaccine...
SIMON:(look at Richard direction)Bola... Move back!(The rest look at Simon)I said move back!(Open his eyes widely seems to be scare)
CARO:see...see(point to Richard)His head is raising up(Richard head is raising up slowly but his eyes are facing the floor. Suddenly he faced Bola)
BOLA:(Fell to the floor Shockingly)(stammer) Rich...ha...rd... Eyes (point to Richard) have turned to lion eye!!!(He shouted and move backward while still on the floor)
RICHARD WHOM IS NOT IN HIS SENSE'S ANY LONGER MOVE CLOSER TO BOLA,GAP HIM AT BOLA NECK AND WAS TRYING TO BIT HIM AT HIS NECK
BOLA: Richard!!! Stop it!!!(Trying to pull himself from Richard)
SIMON:(Ran towards them and push Richard away from Bola.he pull Bola up) Are you okay?
BOLA:(scared and shivering) Simon...we should go call people for help....
SIMON:(hold Bola at his shoulder)No...(Nodded negatively) There is vaccine for it. If we go call anybody...(Point to the door of the lab) It maybe more dangerous as it is now... Let make the vaccine first. Okay?
BOLA:(nodded to agree but still scared)
CARO:(Point to Richard direction in lost of thought) see!see!...his coming (Richard was almost close to Simon and Bola. Simon push Bola for them to depart. Richard ran towards to the person at the front after they have depart and that is caro) Richard...(Shaking her head left and right and stand still) Don't do this... Don't... Richard...(Richard was close to her and about to lay his hands on her)
LOVE:(push Richard with hard force. Gap caro one hand and ran to one part of the room) (Shouted) Caro we are all into this and let get to the solution.Be a little brave (Richard ran close to caro and Love)
BOLA:(Fly from far distance and push Richard by the side to pin him down) Simon!!! Go prepare midazolam!!!(Richard is stronger than Bola by this time, he turned Bola to the floor to bite him) Simon!!! Be fast with it!!!(He shouted and trying to pull himself from Richard)
LOVE:(Took a plank of a wood on the floor, hit it harder on Richard head which make him fall on the floor. She pull Bola up) Stand up!!!
BOLA:(stand on his feet) Thank you (Breath shadily)
CARO:(tears were all on her eyes rolling down similar to the nose. Shaking her head and wiping the more) (pidgin) I no wan die...I no wan die like this...(Wiping out loudly) Simon make we go call someone...I no wan die...
LOVE:(hold caro face with her two hands) you can't die. You are not meant to die now!!!(Grab her hand and point were chair and table are set on each other) let go there (Three of them ran there. Richard be on his feet after the hit he received from love, he turned around but couldn't find anyone except from Simon direction. He moved towards Simon direction)
SIMON:(he was holding injection containing midazolam than he noticed Richard. He look at Richard with a surprisedly scared. He has no choice than to put the injection to his left hand side and move beside a little. He fold a blow at his right hand and roll the waist of the hand) Richard,am sorry (he brought out a pitifully smile and throw a hot blow to Richard forehead. The force of the blow make Richard fell... And he became silent instantly. There is a silent for a while, everyone in the lab are surprised) Bring the bed, let carry him on it!!!(He broke the silence in the lab. Love and Caro rush to bring the bed and both Bola and Simon carry Richard on it) I need patient monitor (caro ran to bring it. Simon take a read on Richard) his life is reading low (point to the monitor) I should inject this...(Hold the injection containing of midazolam) to him (he inject it in Richard body) This will take like 20 minutes before he will be awake. Let tired him up (Bola brought a belt and they tired him) Take this stop watch, it will start reading (throw the stop watch to caro) let go prepare the vaccine (move to the chemical cupboard. He took a yellow liquid chemical and a yellow solid chemical, place them on the table. He bring out a pink and white flower from his bag. He cut part of the yellow solid chemical and place it in flask tube and also added 1½ spoon of the yellow liquid chemical and shake it. He turned them into a test tube and added three drop of water by the use of dropper. He tight the test tube to Retort stand and pull it up, turn on burns flame and place it under the test tube. He closed the top of the test tube with a transparent substance. He took a long and tiny pipe which will make the gas coming out from the heated in the test tube to turn to liquid into a container that he place at the end of the pipe)
CARO:(scream out loudly) ha!ha!ha! (Point to where Richard lay on) But you said, the injection will last for 20 minutes...(Tears roll down from her eyes continually) Na two minutes be this...(In pidgin) He don wake ooo!!! (All ot them were all surprised and looking at Richard. Richard is awake moaning and about to cut off the belt which are used to tired him)
SIMON:(point to Richard)(shouted) Hold him down!!!(Point to the vaccine he was making) Let me go hid this...(Push the table fast and slow as he can)
BOLA:(scared. Tears roll down his face) Have already told you we should called people for help but you refuse...(Wipe the more and shaking his head) Simon... Am no longer that brave boy...I don't have any percent for bravest again, bravest is missing in my dictionary now...(Cry out loudly)I don't want to die in the lab... please...
LOVE:(hold both caro and Bola whom where lost in standing looking at Richard) let hold him down before he cut that belt!!!(Three of them rush to Richard. Caro hold one of Richard hands down .Bola hold the other hand and love hold down the both legs)
CARO:(while holding Richard hand.Richard try to get her hand hold also) Richard...(Pidgin) Don hold my hand!!! He don hold am (shouted scarefully)
BOLA:(he drop down Richard other hand and ran to caro to help)
LOVE:(talk to Bola and said on top of her voice) Don't leave that hand!!!(But its too late)
Richard one hand is free and he hold caro harder and pulling her closer. Love have no choice than to release his leg and go help them)
LOVE:(pulling caro hand from Richard) Add more strength!!! (Caro hand as being released. Love kick both the bed and Richard towards the floor. Three of them ran to a different place for safety. Richard stand to his feet, look around in a senseless way. Turn around and ran toward caro direction
CARO:(she knew that but has no way to run to because of the place she was hiding. She bow down and started crying) I don't want to die now... I went to church last week Sunday my pastor said, I shall live long" is it not truth?(Rise her head up and saw Richard is more closer to her) Blood of Jesus!!!(Shouted tearfully) No...no...(Richard getting more closer to her)
SIMON:(push Richard away) Take this (Breathing sharply. Give caro a long pall of softwood) This will be help for you (point it out to caro)
CARO:(collect it and nodded shivering) ok...ok(Simon move toward Richard) oh... God of heaven... please safe your children...(She wipe than saw a sign of a human coming toward her and think is Richard. She closed her eyes, inhale and exhale. Hold the long wood, straight... rise it up and hit it on the person coming toward her) Go! Go! Go... turn to human Richard!!!
SIMON:(Hold his head)(pidgin) chineke!!! Na me you knock the strick on... Na my head u knock am on,caro
CARO:(open her eyes and saw that is Simon she hit the wood on) ha... Simon,am sorry...am sorry (drop the wood as tears is rolling down her face) I think is Richard (move close to Simon)
SIMON:Am okay...(He nodded) Am okay...
LOVE:(at her hidden place which is beside were the vaccine is) Simon,the vaccine is done !!!
SIMON:(heard what love said. He is about to move to the vaccine place but Richard cross him) what the hell!!!(He give Richard a punch at his belly. Richard didn't feel it. Simon fly as he can, push Richard backward and ran to were the vaccine is. He pick a empty new injection case and drew the vaccine into the injection case) yes...(Exhale and smile) Let do this now (his about to run and he slid down unexpectedly and the vaccine fell and was nowhere to be found)
Bola:(shouted when he saw simon)ha!(put his hand on his head) (In pidgin)Na life work be this ooo...!
Caro:(tears roll down)we have seen the solution for this mess...why will they want us to die now...
Love:(point to the cabinet that contains chemicals). It seems it fell under there.Lets go for Richard so... you Simon go get the injection (she move out from her hidden place)
Simon:(put his head under the cabinet looking for the injection)o... no... come on
Bola:(take a look at his wrist watch)it remains ten minutes from the 1 hours we are using in the lab... the gatekeeper will be here soon.
CARO:(still wiping)we are not 100 percent sure, maybe the vaccine will work for him...(She shake are head slowly and smile but still crying) I know this is the place my life will end...I know...(She nodded) I have given up... have given up...(She knees down and rise her head up. Join are two hands together) Father Lord...I know I have sin against you... forgive all my sin I have made...let me see place in heaven when am coming...
SIMON:(Richard running towards him) come closer... come (he have the confidence of what is going to do. Richard almost got to him and he moved a little besides when Richard almost grab him. So, Richard failed.He quickly inject the vaccine in Richard neck. Richard turn to him but now Richard as no strength to do anything and fell to the floor)
(All of them got shock and surprise. They all move out from there hidden places and come closer to were Richard lay down)
CARO:(moving slowly to Richard and look around) his he still alive?(Point to Richard)
SIMON:(used two of his fingers and place them on Richard neck) he is still alive...(Few minutes later, Richard open his eyes. Four of them stop and move back a little)
RICHARD:(roll his eyes around)uhh...(He moan for feeling plains) What is going on?....
(When they heard Richard, they all smile. Bola fell towards the floor restlessly and laugh)
RICHARD:(sit up and looking confusedly) what happened?...
CARO:(tears roll down and keep starring at Richard with a bad look...move closer to Richard, give him a hot slap) ...and he let me pass through all this...(Cry the more)
(A knock at the lab door and all of them look at the door and it was the gatekeeper)
GATEKEEPER:(out of the lab at the door. Look at them) (pidgin) anything happen?...
LOVE:(nodded) no sir...we are okay
GATEKEEPER:(clean his throat) I just wan tell una say na time remain two minutes...(In pidgin and left)
RICHARD (still confused) can anyone explain what is going on?
RICHARD:(clean his throat and inhale.move closer to Richard,roll the waist of his right hand and fold it to form blow) I think I will explain everything to you...(Throw a blow towards Richard but Simon push him backward to stop him)
SIMON:(smile and try to calm Bola) Bola,calm down...(Smile) His injured a little.
BOLA: pull himself from Simon hold)(pidgin) na this idiot way wan kill me !!! I nearly die...(Point to Richard) ...and he dey ask him way tin happened and u no allow me give him answer.
SIMON:(laugh) (pidgin) no mind him...(Turn to Richard) Guy, na god say may u no die... Try ask before u go do...
RICHARD: Did anything happen after I dozed off?... like I don't get it (confused)
LOVE:(notice something in Richard eyes Len) one of Richard eyes Len is somehow blueish (point to the eye) (All of them look at it)
SIMON: That the vaccine effection.
RICHARD:(try to get up) uhch...(Feel pains) My leg...(Saw wound at his leg) I wound...(He took a look at mirror and look his eyes) Simon! Simon!(Scared) No no no...(Nodded negatively) Is this how my eye will be?
SIMON:(nodded) yes...
RICHARD:(shouted) But this!!!(Point to his eyes) Is oblivious!!...if people see this what should I tell them?
SIMON:well... you will tell them that it was incident...
CARO:(cut in) or make you use eye,I even get the normal colour one so u fit put for ur eye, no body go know
SIMON:I agree with that...(Point to Caro) But first,let set this lab before the gatekeeper comes back and... What happened here should be kept between us,ok?
(They nodded and headed to different direction)
RICHARD: But still...no one explain what happened?!!!
(When they heard him. They all turn to look at Richard with a disgusting or angry look and they all hiss out loudly)
