The grotesque creature in front of him was a monster unable to be described with human features. He was huge, almost eight feet tall and two meters wide. He had too much fat both on his face and on his disfigured body. The lumps of fat on his belly gave him a triple stomach. It was hard to tell if he wore any piece of clothing, as the belly covered a quarter of his legs.
His face was lumpy and felt like it was almost falling off. He had cuts and bruises all over his body, as if he was stitched together. He was ugly, fat and huge. He would be some random obstacle, but his sheer weight and size made him a formidable enemy.
He was dragging a huge metal chain, and connected to it was a huge axe blade. The metal sounds were rather annoying as the monster dragged it towards himself.
???: Ywou did a vrong thing, thwinking you can take Myaster!!
Max and Albert had visible faces of disgust. As if his appearance wasn't enough, this monster was cursed with an even annoying and ridiculous voice.
Max: I know you....
Albert: Do you recognize this man??
Max: Well...I don't think he is a man....but yeah...I've seen it with the Porcupine-man..
???: Hey hey hey.....now don't you go around ruining my name...Porcupine Man??? Seriously??
They heard the voice of the commanding childish porcupine man, and as before, he was saying it from far away.
???: You need to call me.....Master Dreacon....
The porcupine man announced his name, with a slight chuckle audible, as if he expected them to fear the name.
Albert and Max: Who...??
Dreacon: Seriously???? I'm quite famous around these parts!!!
Albert: The only thing I know is that you are a filthy Ameliorate.
Suddenly, it felt like oxygen exited the room. It wasn't actually the case, but someone's incredibly powerful presence had made it difficult for them to breathe. The tone in Dreacon's voice had changed.
Dreacon: You mere human dare call us...elite Ameliorates, as...."filthy"??? "FILTHY???"
Max: Uh oh.
Dreacon: Savanta dear, can you kill those inconsequential insects for their indecent comments??
The order had been sent to his grotesque servant, called Savanta. Savanta just nodded thinking.
Savanta: Yesh, Myaster Dreacon is always right! He twold me to kill yuu.
He pulled the chain as fast as he can and aimed the axe at Max and Albert. They both dodged it easily. Max had activated the power of his eyes. Him using the stars had major drawbacks on him, but his punching and his eyesight didn't. So he preferred using it on the monster.
They both decided to divide and conquer as Max attacked from the left and Albert from the right. He swung his sword at its' belly, and cut a large chunk of its' flesh. Max jumped above the chain and axe that it was swinging, and slightly stepped on the flat axe. Using it as a launching pad, he jumped straight at the monster and punched Savanta in the face. The impact sent shockwaves throughout his face muscles, as If the were ripples in a water body.
As soon as they did that, the injury on the body just regenerated immediately shocking Albert. The flesh that was below him in a sagging manner, had quickly rose and was stitching itself together. Max hadn't noticed it and saw the skin on its' mouth tear, and was almost celebrating.
Albert: Look out!!!
As soon as Albert warned Max saw it. The axe was directly above his head and he would've died if he didn't dodge it. He got away and fell on the ground, unable to cushion himself with his left arm. Albert ran to him and helped him up.
Max: What the hell? I saw you cut him up, so I thought we won.
Albert: Looks like there is more to him than we initially thought.
That was when Max saw that it was regenerating. That explained the cuts and bruises on it's body.
Savanta: How dare youuuuuu!!!!!!!
The monster screamed on top of its' lungs. It was furious.
Savanta: Yuu think yuu are vinning?? I vill kwill yuu !!!
Savanta started swinging his axe in a frenzy state. He was aiming in a ridiculous manner, destroying many and almost every wall in the process. This blind rage proved the power that Savanta held. He would decimate Max and Albert if his swings caught them.
Max ducked and leapt and flipped, all in order to avoid being slashed. Albert was doing the same except, he used his sword too. After multiple misses, Savanta grew angrier and angrier. But Max wasn't afraid. The monster in front of him was just like a melting wax statue. And he was a God. There was no way he'd lose here.
That blind crazy frenzy resulted in Savanta cutting the stone tower beside him, where the trio they came looking for where held. Since the base of the tower was gone, the tower started leaning and falling,with the debris falling everywhere. Max saw this, and immediately tried to locate Melissa, Lin and Chuck. They were still dangling in the webs, but coming down along with the tower at a huge speed. If they hit the ground in that speed, they would all perish in a single second.
Max: Oh no..!! Albert distract him for a second!!
Albert: Roger+!
Albert said something that Max thought he would never hear from him. The Samurai used his blade to stop it's axe, by trying to deflect and change the direction of the chain. Max ran towards the tower and aimed his hand to the wall, opposite the tower. He then shot a star out of it which destroyed the roof of the building opposite to the tower. This made the top of the tower fall diagonally into place and the falling stopped, as the unconscious trio just hung there in anticipation of a rescue.
Max: Albert!!!
Max screamed at Albert who was busy fighting with Savanta. He understood his assignment in an instant. He ignored the monster for the time being and used his sword to slash the air in the trio's direction.
Albert: Jetstream Slash!+
With that move, he cut horizontally and cut the webs from which they were hanging from. Max was already running full speed, to catch up to them meanwhile.
As the bondage was cut, the three fell down, thanks to gravity, and Max jumped and caught Chuck. He had jumped too high, and turned in the air to catch Melissa by her hips, and made sure that Lin landed on his back. With three of them on his body. He landed on his two feet, although at sent shockwaves to his body. He saved all of them and brought them out and made them sit beside each other.
Max: Thank God you guys are safe. I honestly didn't know if you were gonna make it.
Max smiled a bit but then he heard his companion's voice.
Albert: Umm...ugh...a little help here..?
Max turned around to see the guy fighting the monster. He was struggling against a being almost double his size, and needed assistance. Max knew he had to hurry, but he didn't wanna leave them unconscious.
Max saw above and saw an even greater web maze. Hundreds of people were hanging from it, the same way the ones they knew were.
Max: Albert???
Albert: I don't sense any heartbeat among them. And I'm sure I'm not being blocked by a Blessing. All of them are detected in my vibration, but none of their hearts are beating. They are all dead. Except those three with you...
Albert confirmed the facts. Everyone above him was dead. They looked like all their nutrition was forcefully taken away from them, as their bodies had shriveled. The bodies also looked like they were old. They were killed. Just like what would've happened to the unconscious trio, if the Samurai and Max hadn't come here.
Max was angry. He hated people like them.
Max: Wake up...come on. Chuck!! Wake up!!! Melissa! Lin!! Someone wake up.
Max was softly slapping their chins and aggressively shaking them to wake them up.
Nearby, Albert was fighting against Savanta. The battle was extremely difficult. As they fought, a breeze of tiredness loomed over Albert. Savanta was striking, aiming to kill his enemy. And they were interrupted by a voice.
Dreacon: Enough!!! Savanta!!!
Savanta stopped attacking and turned at the window of light that had opened up on the wall behind him, almost ten meters above them. A silhouette of a man with spiky hair that reached his torso became visible. At the same time, Chuck woke up from his daze, to see Max also staring at the light. Chuck's eyes also followed to the light.
Dreacon: That's it, Savanta!! I was bored...but now...I've thought of a game for us to play!!
Master Dreacon smiled.
