Chapter 168 - Chapter 163: Hit

With things having come to this, Rayder had no choice but to turn and face it.

Although he didn't want to deal with this ghoul before, that didn't mean he was afraid of it.

The blade of the sword in Rayder's hand instantly became wreathed in a dazzling golden current. He took a deep breath, then suddenly leaped up,

like a burning meteor, directly hurtling towards the giant maw of the dragon!

Rayder's movements were as swift as lightning, even a step faster than Caraxes spewing Dragon Flame.

He dislodged Caraxes's lower jaw with astonishing speed, which surprised even himself.

It turned out that the cutting ability of that electric sword was so excellent!

Immediately after, Rayder, without hesitation, gripped his sword with both hands and thrust it upwards.

The blade, like lightning, pierced directly through Caraxes's skull.

Just then, Rayder had a sudden idea; he injected Fire Magic into the sword's body.

Unexpectedly, the two energies of lightning and fire perfectly merged, forming a powerful and unique force.

Rayder gripped the hilt tightly and swung with all his might. The valyrian steel sword, imbued with both lightning and fire energy, sliced through Caraxes's massive dragon head as easily as cutting tofu.

Accompanied by a dull thud, Caraxes's enormous body crashed to the ground, no longer showing any signs of movement.

Rayder quickly leaped away the moment Caraxes fell.

He rolled several times in the snow before finally coming to a stop.

He looked at Caraxes, lying motionless in the snow, still a bit shaken, and an incredible feeling welled up in his heart.

He had originally thought his previous outburst was fierce enough, but seeing this astonishing result, he realized he might have been a bit too ferocious.

However, he didn't have much time to ponder these things, because more important tasks awaited him.

Rayder took a deep breath, composed himself, then gripped his sword with both hands and rushed forward.

His steps were steady and powerful, each one filled with determination and strength.

As he approached the Mystic Ice chains, he suddenly stopped, all his strength converging into the sword in his hands.

With a roar, Rayder used all his strength to fiercely hack at the Mystic Ice chains.

There was no reservation in this strike; he poured all his power into it.

With a crisp 'crack', the Mystic Ice chains snapped.

Rayder used all his strength with every strike, able to sever several Mystic Ice chains with a single blow.

His swordsmanship was precise and powerful, each swing accompanied by the sound of rushing air.

In just a dozen or so strikes, Rayder had helped Ghidorah unwrap the layers of chains around one of his heads.

Dalong roared and began to struggle violently, trying to break free from the restraints on his neck.

Seeing this, Rayder unhesitatingly swung his sword to help.

His sword light flashed like lightning, each strike accurately hitting the chains, helping Dalong break free from his restraints.

However, what Rayder didn't notice was that the Night King, not far away, had already broken free from the giant crossbow bolts.

But he did not step forward to stop Rayder; instead, he slowly retreated, holding a Mystic Ice Spear, and disappeared into the Army of Ghouls.

Once Dalong's neck could move, his long neck turned towards his own body, unleashing a Gravity Beam.

The Gravity Beam shattered the chains and also left tearing wounds on his body.

However, this successfully removed the restraints on his body, and Dalong could move freely.

The moment Ghidorah could move, his two heads also spewed two Gravity Beams, striking the restrained Aegon and Im respectively, helping them break free.

After Aegon and Im regained their freedom, they immediately flapped their wings and soared into the sky, fighting alongside Ghidorah.

Just then, the Mystic Ice chains, which had already shattered, suddenly seemed to come alive again, transforming into countless ice-blue light points that shot towards Rayder like meteors.

This sudden change caught Rayder completely off guard; he didn't even have time to react before the ice-blue light points flashed into his body.

Everything happened so fast that Rayder had no time to ponder what was going on.

When he came to his senses, he found that his body seemed to be fine, but he knew very well in his heart that this was definitely not a good thing.

After all, he had already been tricked once by that woman, the Cold God, and Rayder was well aware of her sinister intentions.

Rayder cautiously touched his body, and after confirming there was nothing unusual, his doubts did not lessen.

He didn't believe the Cold God would be so kind; there must have been something fishy about the previous incident, he just didn't know where the trap was laid yet.

Rayder knew that these so-called gods were all ruthless, insidious, and cunning individuals.

Their hearts were as dark as their exteriors, and their internal organs were probably completely black.

Just like his previous encounter with Melisandre, although she helped him break free from that emotionally detached mental state,

and eliminated the influence of Ice Magic on him, she brought him a host of subsequent troubles.

If it weren't for his own increased strength, he would probably have already capsized in a ditch and died beyond resurrection.

Thinking of this, Rayder almost subconsciously opened the system and checked his personal status, hoping to find some clues.

Rayder carefully examined the personal status bar, which clearly displayed the words "Good."

This made him breathe a sigh of relief; at least his physical condition was still decent for now.

However, recalling the thrilling experience of his previous coma and feigned death, a hint of worry welled up in Rayder's heart.

If it weren't for the system upgrading at that exact moment, he might have remained in a perpetual slumber, perhaps never to awaken.

Thinking of this, Rayder developed deep suspicions about the system in his mind.

This system seemed completely indifferent to the host's life and death, lacking even the most basic mental protection capabilities.

It was like a rigid, inflexible system, devoid of any intelligence.

Facing such a system, Rayder sometimes truly felt mentally exhausted.

However, whenever he felt frustrated, he would always comfort himself with "having a system is better than not having one."

After all, the system had indeed given him a lot of help, allowing him to gain a foothold in this world.

Although Rayder was baffled by the Cold God's actions, he decided he still needed to be extra careful.

He decided to closely monitor whether he would have any special changes in the short term, especially changes in his emotions and personality,

especially changes at the soul level, as that was his only weakness at the moment.

Rayder cautiously climbed onto Ghidorah's massive and majestic dragon back, his heart beating even more violently as the height increased.
