Chapter 4 - Having a feast with the Regoblins

A sudden big explosion happens, destroying the whole castle and turning it to dust. After hearing the explosion, all the demons start leaping towards the castle, hoping to see their lord's new form.

In a few minutes, suddenly things strangely become calm. Then a wave emanates from the castle, causing another big explosion. Anyone coming into contact with it turns to dust in milliseconds, with all their blood starting to gather at the center.

In just a few seconds, thousands of demons below the castle turned to dust, and their whole blood, concentrating around the demon king, became a massive blood ball, constantly expanding and covering thousands of miles, searching for more blood.

The scene was horrific, like some ancient vampire gone crazy and starting to draw blood from every species that came into contact with it.

It went from a ritual to cause the whole ten thousand demons to cease to exist, also consuming all nearby villages.

The castle was totally wrapped up with blood floating in a circle shape around the demon king, who, without knowing the consequences of his actions, merged into the ritual. His body was rapidly torn apart, joining it; he hadn't even been given time to scream.

He made a big mistake thinking he was cursing a thousand people, but actually, he cursed 234,500, causing such a big phenomenon.

After completely absorbing the demon king, it became crimson red and started to glow like crazy. all drops of blood in it floated around at monstrous speed, and anything coming into contact was exterminated; even the ground was not safe from it.

'Bang!' Blood shattered everywhere around thousands of miles, the ground shaking crazily.

Then all people with the same blood felt a sudden attack in their hearts, making them beat rapidly. Fig, unconscious, didn't feel it.

Around the same time at the Rego tribe, in one room where Fig laying down, around him were the great mother and chief who sensed that he was cursed.

The room was filled with various medicines, herbs, and many facilities necessary for childcare.

The great mother was sitting on the ground taking care of three children at a time. Suddenly, she glanced at the chief; her glare was intense. She had a sweet voice, over 200 years old; she was the oldest member of the Rego tribe.

"Mother, you also felt it right? He just got cursed, and it was a great one," the chief said, patting Fig's head and channeling his mana to check his health.

"The curse won't harm him now, it's a bit special," her eyes glowing white; she could see all the internal organs of Fig.

"Mother, should we still keep him?" Giving up hope for curing him, he then responded, "Mother, I'll feed him to wolves tomorrow."

Then the mother and chief stared at each other eye to eye. A few seconds passed, and the mother shouted, "Get out!"

The chief walked out, then the mother carefully picked up Fig in her arms and whispered, "Little one, don't worry, your new mother won't let you be taken away," carefully putting Fig in his bed.

She hurried to the table, gathered all the herbs, then started grinding them and making a syrup and slowly feed to Fig, hoping it will help resist the curse.

She spent the whole night making medicine for him; the medicine's effects were of body strengthening.

Like that, a whole two days passed, the feast for Fig was postponed, and it was decided to celebrate today.

Tonight was a very special day for Fig and the tribe. Fig was officially being announced to the tribe, while it wasn't every day they welcomed a new family member to the tribe, especially a human child like Fig.

The Chief stood on a wooden stool, holding Fig in his hand, introducing him to everyone.

Everyone was happy to have a human child as a family member, with great smiles they grandly embraced him in their arms one at a time.

Thus, they started calling his name loudly, "Fig, Fig, Fig," celebrating his survival, not caring what path he chose.

The feast officially began...

At the center was a massive fire pit roasting skewers of horned rabbit on sticks, a big wild dragon at the center perfectly being roasted, mushrooms on top, and many different spices filling the air with a smoky smell, mixing with many different species of meat.

"Bring forth the child here," great mother enjoying herself. She called Fig to her; she particularly took a liking to Fig, as she had a soft spot for cute children,Fig was currently the cutest among his peers.

While Fig, who is 1.5 years old, was enjoying the feast, he even unknowingly drank alcohol.

The mother placed him in the middle while the other goblins started dancing around him, clapping his hands. Fig tried to dance but couldn't; seeing this, Rakan put Fig on his neck and started dancing with him.

As the feast was nearing its end, each Rego presented a gift for him.

While most were small gifts like meats, skins, fruits, etc., Rakan gave him a sword made from a dragon's spine.

The chief gave him a whole new house built of wood.

And last, the great mother gave him a strength potion, which was hard to obtain even in the tribe.

The mother then shoved the potion into Fig's mouth, and Fig started to glow and twinkle like a star. The Regos cheered for him as Fig turned red and fell asleep.

By the end of the night, Fig clutched his sword like a treasure.

"Look at him, great mother,he is already the next charm of my team," said Rakan proudly.

The mother grinned. "Not that I'd leave him in your hands," she stated. "I cherish him as the next poison master, his body isn't strong enough to join your side," then she made eye contact with Rakan, making him feel uneasy,he left without saying anything.

And so, under the flickering fire, Fig slept, snoring loudly.
