Chapter 2 - Episode 2: Shattered Innocence

Alice woke up to an empty room, the silence a stark contrast to the chaos of the previous night. She sat up, rubbing her temples, trying to remember what had happened. As she looked down, she realized she was naked under the quilt. A wave of panic washed over her as memories of the previous night began to flood back.

She remembered being at the club, drinking with Isabella, and then...and then things got fuzzy. But one thing was clear: she had lost her virginity to a complete stranger. Alice felt a stinging sensation in her eyes as tears began to fall. She cried uncontrollably, the realization of what had happened hitting her like a ton of bricks.

After what felt like an eternity, Alice composed herself, quickly getting dressed in the same clothes from the night before. As she turned to leave, she noticed a stack of money on the nightstand. She hissed in pain as she moved, the soreness between her legs a harsh reminder of the previous night's activities. Alice left the room without taking the money, not wanting anything to remind her of the stranger she had given herself to.

Meanwhile, Isabella received a rude awakening in the form of a furious phone call from the middle-aged man. "You stupid girl!" he yelled. "I didn't get my gift last night! You'll never get a penny from me!" Isabella was confused, wondering what had gone wrong. She quickly got dressed and ran to the hotel, demanding to know who had been in room 101.

The receptionist checked the records and informed Isabella that the occupant of room 101 was none other than Diego Montago. Isabella's eyes widened in panic as she realized her mistake. It was supposed to be room 110. She couldn't believe her carelessness.

MONTAGO IMPERIUM GLOBAL

At Diego's office, he was furious with his PA, James. "Where is the woman I requested?" Diego thundered. James looked taken aback. "I-I apologize, boss. She never showed up. But...but someone else did show up at your hotel room last night."

Diego's expression turned from anger to surprise, and he shot James a deadly look. The air seemed to thicken, and James felt a chill run down his spine. He knew that look all too well - it was the look that said, "One more word, and you're fired...or worse."

James's eyes widened, and he froze, not daring to speak another word. He feared that if he uttered even a whisper, Diego's wrath would descend upon him, and his head would be on the chopping block. The silence between them was oppressive, heavy with unspoken threats.

Diego's gaze lingered on James for a moment, as if daring him to speak. Then, he turned away, his eyes narrowing as he pondered the mystery of the woman who had shown up at his hotel room. James let out a silent breath, grateful that the storm had passed...for now.

Alice trudged into work, her feet heavy with the weight of her secrets. She usually radiated a warm smile and infectious energy, but today, she felt lost and empty. Her eyes, once bright and sparkling, now seemed dull and lifeless.

Brenda, her best friend and coworker, noticed the change in Alice immediately. As they worked together, serving customers and taking orders, Brenda couldn't help but sneak concerned glances at Alice. Something was wrong, and Brenda was determined to find out what.

During their break, Brenda cornered Alice in the back room, her voice low and gentle. "Alice, what's going on? You seem really off today. Is everything okay?" Alice hesitated, unsure if she was ready to share her secrets. But Brenda's kind eyes and genuine concern eventually won her over.

With a deep breath, Alice recounted the entire story, from Isabella's trickery to her one-night stand with Diego. Brenda listened intently, her expression shifting from concern to shock and finally, to anger.

"How could you be so naive, Alice?" Brenda exclaimed, her voice trembling with frustration. "I know you trust Isabella, but come on! You're smarter than that!" But as she saw the tears welling up in Alice's eyes, Brenda's anger melted away, replaced by compassion and empathy.

"Oh, Alice, I'm so sorry," Brenda whispered, pulling her into a tight hug. "I'm here for you, and I'll always support you. We'll get through this together." As Brenda comforted Alice, her anger shifted from Alice to Isabella. How could Isabella betray her best friend like that?

Meanwhile, Diego Montago sat in his office, his mind still reeling from the events of the previous night. He couldn't shake the memory of the mysterious woman, and he found himself wanting to know more about her. He turned to his PA, James, and instructed him to find out everything he could about the woman.

James nodded, his eyes widening with excitement. "Right away, boss." But as he delved deeper into the mystery, he realized that finding the woman wouldn't be an easy task. She seemed to have vanished into thin air, leaving behind only whispers and shadows.

Two weeks passed after the events and the Saturday morning dawned bright and early, with Alice helping her parents with the weekly chores. She was scrubbing the kitchen floor when a wave of nausea washed over her, catching her off guard. She felt her stomach churn, and her mouth began to water in anticipation of vomiting.

Alice rushed to the restroom, her parents' concerned voices calling out behind her. "Alice, are you okay? Do you need any help?" But Alice didn't respond, her focus solely on reaching the toilet before she threw up.

She slammed the bathroom door shut behind her and dropped to her knees, her head hovering over the toilet bowl. The vomiting was intense, her body expelling the contents of her stomach with a ferocity that left her gasping for breath.

When Alice finally emerged from the restroom, her parents were waiting anxiously outside the door. "Alice, what's wrong?" her mom asked, her voice laced with worry. "You look so pale." Alice tried to brush it off, forcing a weak smile onto her face. "I'm fine, Mom. Just a little stomach bug, that's all."

But as she turned to head back to the kitchen, another wave of nausea hit her, and she rushed back into the restroom. Her parents exchanged a concerned glance, and her mom followed her into the bathroom.

This time, Alice's vomiting was accompanied by a dull cramping in her abdomen. Her mom held her hair back, concern etched on her face. "Alice, this isn't just a stomach bug. Something's wrong." When Alice finally stopped vomiting, her mom helped her clean up and then led her to the living room couch.

"I think we should take you to the hospital, sweetie," her mom said gently. "Just to get you checked out." Alice nodded weakly, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. Maybe the hospital could figure out what was wrong with her.

At the hospital, Alice's mom filled out the paperwork while Alice changed into a hospital gown. A nurse came in to take her vitals, and then a doctor arrived to examine her. After a series of questions and a physical examination, the doctor ordered some blood work and a urine test.

Alice's mom sat with her, holding her hand as they waited for the test results. Finally, the doctor returned, a somber expression on her face. "Alice, the test results are in. And I have to inform you that...you're pregnant."

The words hung in the air like a challenge, leaving Alice feeling stunned and disbelieving. Pregnant? How could that be? She had only had sex once, and that was with a stranger. The implications were too overwhelming to consider, and Alice felt her world spinning out of control.
