May giggled. He was mocking her, and she should have been annoyed. The way he said it—mock-serious, his mouth twitching—made him look so much younger, almost carefree. She liked it. Too much.
"See? Easy." She shrugged, feigning nonchalance.
Kade dropped the towel to the bench and stepped closer. The heat of his body radiated against her back. He turned her gently with hands that were far too steady for what he was feeling inside.
"When you punch," he said lowly, his mouth hovering just above her ear, "you summon your anger. You think about everything that hurts you, everything that stands in your way."
With his boot, he nudged her feet apart, adjusting her stance until she was grounded. "Your posture prepares you. From your posture, I can tell how angry you are. It is very important, because when you meet a force bigger than you, posture secures your balance."
