Chapter 10 - #10

The days passed peacefully, with little change in Avery's mental state. However, one thing caught Dr. Brooke's attention - Avery's fascination with the garden, particularly the patch of black roses. Whenever they walked by, Avery's gaze would linger on the flowers, her emotions shifting from indifference to curiosity and finally, to appreciation.

Dr. Brooke observed that Avery's interest in the roses was more than just a passing fascination. She seemed drawn to the melancholy beauty of the boy who sat among the flowers, staring blankly at the roses. Avery's gaze would follow him, her expression a mix of pity and curiosity.

As the sessions continued, Dr. Brooke noticed Avery's emotional shifts becoming more pronounced. She seemed to be developing a connection with the mysterious boy, and Dr. Brooke couldn't help but wonder what was behind Avery's fascination.

One day, Avery's curiosity got the better of her. She approached the boy, her eyes flashing with a mix of frustration and sadness. Dr. Brooke watched in surprise as Avery's demeanor changed, her body language tense with emotion.

"Avery?" Dr. Brooke called out, but the girl didn't respond. She seemed fixated on the boy, her eyes locked on him with an intensity that made Dr. Brooke curious.

As she approached Avery, she noticed something peculiar. Avery was talking to the air, her voice barely above a whisper. Dr. Brooke's eyes widened as she realized Avery was talking to the boy, who seemed oblivious to her presence.

Dr. Brooke's mind was racing with questions. What was going on here? Why was Avery so drawn to this boy? And what was the significance of the black roses?
