Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Banished

"God of Fortune, Herakleis. As consequence for your tragic mistake, you are temporarily banned to set foot in the heavenly realm." Those words threw Hera into a state of shock as the awkward smile on his handsome face froze.

I'm banished from the heavenly realm?! Hera thought as he knelt on the white, cold marble floor. The child in front of him, with her round rosy cheeks, and adorable big eyes, had dropped the most dreadful words Hera could hear.

"Well, that's what she just said." Felicity, The god of mentality chided at Hera's thoughts as she lay carefree and unbothered on her bed of clouds. Her hair, soft as clouds and pink as sunrise skies twirled smoothly around her finger the more she played with it.

Is she messing with me right now? He was already set to be in a bad mood. He didn't need some brat chilling on her ass clouds to give her attitude. "I am not some brat. And no I am not," Felicity huffed at Hera, her delicate hands running her neck as she gathered her hair to push it out of the way from crushed beneath her. "I am just stating the truth."

"Stop reading my mind!" Hera screeched at the other god. He was already humiliated enough as it is. The other gods only seemed to shake their head as they pondered on the next course of action. But as the small god in front of them had decided on the punishment, they knew there was nothing else they could do to change her mind. After all, her words were absolute and final. The god of gods.

Hera bit his lips, what else could he do now? His eyes, clear as skies spotted The god of Ocean Depth standing beside the tiny god, and he shot his best pleading eyes. "Brother Elijah, please do something." Hera's trembling voice pleaded at Elijah, but Elijah could only laugh in uncertainty as deep blue eyes shot between The god of Fortune and The god of gods.

"I'm sorry, Hera. But the matter has been settled," Elijah turned away from those sparkling eyes, his voice guilty and strained, "I'm trying to convince her but she's made up her mind."

That's right. Hera knew once this tiny god had decided then there was no changing it. But if he could plead with Elijah, then there'd be more chance of success with him convincing The god of gods!

Let's try one more time. Let's give it our best puppy eyes! "Kuyaaaaaa!" Hera whined. Unable to resist his little brother's insistence, Elijah had to turn away as he tried to hold himself together. It hurt him to have to see his brother banned from home but Elijah trusted The god of gods.

Seeing his back turned, Hera tried once more. "Kuya please!" By now, Hera was close to throwing a tantrum in front of all other heavenly gods. And Felicity was close to losing it seeing her best friend act like a spoiled little brother pleading at his big brother.

The god of gods, watching this unfold, only stared at Hera with her heterochromia eyes. Eyes big and round as a new and full moon.

"The ban is only temporary and nothing severe. The only condition for this is you fix the mistake you made against the poor mortal boy. You fix his luck, then you come home. Simple." Her soft, little voice echoed into the open hall for all other gods to hear.

Although it didn't sound like a punishment at all, to hear the words banned from the heavenly realm were frightening enough to hear. Specially from her. Since the beginning of everything, no one had ever been banished before. This was the first. Not even the god of first times had this type of first, so he was very much interested to see what turn of events this could unfold.

The god of First times leaned towards the God of Last Time, "You gotta remind me when he gets back, I need to get a scoop out of this!" He chuckled in pure amusement as he watched poor Hera continuously beg Elijah. Almost to the point where he would roll around the marble floor.

"That's enough!" The god of gods spoke, and like a passing breeze, the entire open hall fell into complete silence. "This is not a punishment. Why are you worried? Take this as a small business trip and only come back when you've fixed the mortal's luck." The god of god said, her voice weighed nothing, as if she had just spoken a simple nursery rhyme, completely oblivious to the reason for every god's fear of being sent down to the mortal realm.

She sighed, and brought up her tiny fingers in front of her, covering Hera's entire silhouette from where he sat on the floor. Within the next second, he had vanished on the spot. Like a gust of wind, gone in an instant.

The loud clammering within the other gods fell into deafening silence as a sense of unease filled the entire open hall but the tiny god paid them no mind. "Everyone is dismissed!"

The second this open hall had finally voided of gods and creatures, Elijah finally found the courage to speak. "Are you sure about this?" He asked, his own concern had been obvious within his voice. "I know we've talked about this so I didn't say anything even when Hera begged for my help but..." He trailed in his voice. Not wanting to give the idea that he was doubting the other god's judgement.

"You can rest assured. I want nothing but happiness for everyone. This move is necessary for Hera's future." were the only words the tiny god offered Elijah as she stared with round eyes at the spot Hera had disappeared from. "This is necessary... All I want is Hera's happiness too."

Seeing such solemn expression on such a round face, Elijah felt even more guilt than earlier. He pinched the tiny god's cheek, "Alright, alright! I get it, Hera is capable of taking care if himself. I'm sure he'll be fine down there, so let's stop all this worrying!"

That's right. It was Hera, after all. No matter what happens, Elijah is sure his little brother can hold up by himself.

Unbeknownst to him, Hera had dropped at 89 feet above air, screaming in horror and fear before he had landed terribly on his back inside a dumpster at the back of an unknown alley with a loud crash and a pained grunt. It caught the attention of a passing elderly lady who, with bad eyesight, mistook Hera for a stray cat as she continued to walk away.

"Haha...silly god. You couldn't have transported me with a safer method? Atleast drop me within water bodies with Elijah's blessing." Hera laughed with no humor as he peeled away a banana peel on his head. "I'm part mortal now, you know."
