"But it has already fulfilled your wish," she said slowly. "Your son is just the price."
Maravelle's fingers dug into her palms. "No. There must be another way. Tell me, name it. I will do anything."
Gathera's voice stayed calm. "I told you already. Your life will be taken in his place."
Maravelle's face went white with fury. "You lied to me," she spat. "You will pay for this."
"Don't threaten me. I only fulfilled your wish."
Maravelle growled at her, then turned and walked out of the cave, each step colder than the last.
