They sat in silence for sometime.
Aedric tilted his head back toward the sky. "Still not telling you what I was thinking about."
Rell grinned into her flask. "Didn't ask, princeling."
But he saw how she sat a little closer to him now. The night air was cool, carrying the scent of grass and moonlight.
Rell leaned back on her hands once more, looking up at the stars.
"Don't start thinking too much," she said softly. "You'll ruin it."
Aedric chuckled. "I'll try. But I've missed you."
"Ah, I still have a few days to make you miserable."
Aedric gave her a playful shove.
For a while, they just lay there.
And for the first time in a long while, the storm inside him felt a bit calmer.
....
"Tell me Ninzu… what do you know of Dragoth?"
A shadow crossed Ninzu's face, and at once her violet eyes turned black for a moment then violet again.
"A great deal, there are only a few things in this world that I fear. Dragoth is one of them."
