Lara's eyes widened.
My name is Nymeria. I am here now. I have been waiting for you to be ready. Soon, I will wake fully and we will finally be together.
Lara stared at Thornak.
He was watching her with a worried expression.
"Lara?" he asked softly. "What's wrong?"
She swallowed, still trying to understand the voice in her head.
"I... I think I just heard someone."
Thornak frowned. "What do you mean by someone?"
"My wolf," she whispered.
"Your wolf?" Thornak asked, his eyes widening. "You have a wolf?"
"Yes," Lara whispered. "She said her name is Nymeria."
For a moment, Thornak said nothing.
He looked at her shocked by what she said.
"Where has she been all this time?" he asked.
"I don't know." Lara shook her head. "She said she has been waiting for me to be ready."
Thornak suddenly growled with excitement. His mate was not wolfless. She had a wolf.
At that same moment, Lara felt a pull inside her so deep, so primal, that it tore through her veins like fire.
