Kara volunteered for defense tests, firing heat vision. Wanda raised an arm, a gold-red barrier absorbing it without a ripple. Kara's freeze breath failed too. "Not bad," Kara said.
James analyzed, "Not just physical defense—chaos magic negates attacks, dispersing energy and impacts."
Wanda nodded. "So, unless their power exceeds my magic and divine energy combined, I'm nearly invincible?"
"Theoretically," James confirmed.
"Flight next," he said, looking skyward. "Her flight manipulates gravity, unlike Kryptonians."
Wanda focused, gold-red wings forming, and whoosh! she broke the sound barrier, becoming a gold-red meteor. They followed, stopping at the atmosphere's edge, Earth below.
"Freer than magic flight," Wanda said, reaching for the stars.
Back in the lab, James showed her DNA. "Your aging's near zero. You could live millennia, maintained by divine power and chaos magic."
Wanda paused. "Millennia?"
"And ageless," James added.
Kara asked, "What about Kryptonians?"
"As long as the sun exists, we're immortal," James smiled. "We've got time."
Wanda grinned. "The immortal trio?"
"No," James said, eyes gleaming. "Three gods."
In the lab, James led Kara to a massive artificial sun chamber. "This boosts your cell absorption to 300%," he said. She entered, sighing as golden energy enveloped her.
James worked on a holographic interface, designing nano-armor with vibranium and Kryptonian alloys. "Energy conduction up 70%, enhanced defense," he said. Turing added, "Custom versions for you, Ms. Maximoff, and Ms. Zor-El."
Wanda's red armor, etched with runes, reduced magic consumption by 50%. Kara's gold-black armor bore the House of El crest. James's black armor, with gold veins, formed around him, cape glowing.
Wanda touched her armor, scarlet energy dancing. "Feels… right."
Kara's armor responded, nano-units wrapping her. The trio stood, radiant in black, red, and gold-black.
That night, at the villa, they lounged, wine and dinner remnants on the table. Wanda curled beside James, red hair spilling, fingers tracing her glass. Kara read a novel, joining their banter. "No wonder Kryptonians don't sleep," Wanda teased.
Kara smiled. "We can, but it's optional."
James gazed at the stars, thoughtful. A system chime rang in his mind: Ding! Host idle, triggering chain mission. First task: Eliminate rogue superhumans. Description: Powers are both strength and danger. Rogue superhumans harm innocents. Eliminate them and dismantle their organization. Second task unlocks upon completion.
