At the Justice League headquarters, farewells wrapped up. Clark faced Kara. "Wherever you go, Kryptonian blood binds us."
Kara smiled faintly. "Thanks, Kal. Hope we meet again."
Diana handed Kara an Amazonian amulet. "For safe travels."
Barry grinned. "Come back! We'll form a Kryptonian squad!"
James opened a golden portal to his villa's living room. "Ready?" Wanda asked, grabbing Kara's hand.
Kara nodded, glancing at the heroes, and stepped through with James and Wanda.
Marvel Universe, Long Island Villa
"Welcome home, sir," Turing greeted. "New guest detected. Permissions updated."
Kara scanned the lavish living room, sea views beyond the windows, holographic art shifting on the walls. "You guys live well," she said.
James tossed his jacket onto the couch. "Comfort matters."
Wanda dragged Kara upstairs. "Pick a room! Twelve bedrooms, all yours."
Kara followed, asking, "Just you three here? No team?"
"For now," Wanda said, opening a sea-facing room. "Like this? Best view."
Kara touched the silk sheets, gazing at the ocean. "Better than a dungeon."
Wanda's eyes lit up. "Tomorrow, I'll take you to New York! There's an amazing dessert shop."
James called from below, "Dinner first."
Wanda whispered to Kara, "He's bossy, but sweet."
Kara stood on the balcony, sunset warming her face, feeling peace for the first time. "Thanks, Wanda," she said. "And James."
Wanda leaned on the railing, hair fluttering. "Welcome to our world, Kara."
Night fell, the trio lounging in the living room, waves glinting outside. Kara's eyes glowed faintly, her super brain absorbing the world's data. Suddenly, she stiffened, gripping the sofa. "Why didn't you tell me?"
Wanda frowned. "Tell you what?"
Kara's voice tightened. "That I'm a comic book character?"
Wanda froze, glancing at James for help. He raised a hand. "Calm down, Kara. In your world, you're real. Here, your story's in comics, but that doesn't change who you are."
His voice steadied her. "I don't know why I crossed here either. We're all dimensional travelers."
Kara's shock turned to thought, her Kryptonian mind processing. "So my life, my pain, my struggles—are just a story here?"
Wanda shook her head. "No, Kara. You're here, real, with us. Your experiences are real."
James nodded. "It's just a dimensional perspective. When I arrived, everyone was new to me."
Kara laughed softly. "A Kryptonian learning she's a comic character. My dad would've never guessed."
Wanda relaxed. "Glad you're okay with it. I was scared to tell you."
The mood lightened, waves audible, lights brightening. Wanda jumped up. "Ice cream time! Celebration!"
Kara whispered to James, "Thanks for being honest. But…" Her eyes twinkled. "How do the comics describe you?"
James coughed. "Probably a side-universe Kryptonian."
Wanda called from the kitchen, "I'm starving! Kara, let's cook!"
"Count me in," Kara said, standing. She glanced back at James. "Thanks."
He smiled. "No need."
Ten minutes later, Wanda and Kara cooked, pots clanging, aromas wafting. Wanda introduced spices, Kara's super speed slicing vegetables in a blur. "This is Chinese chili powder," Wanda said. "Might not faze Kryptonians."
Kara analyzed it. "Stimulating molecular structure."
"Try my Hungarian goulash sauce," Wanda offered.
James tapped the sofa. "Turing, any updates?"
"Mr. Stark tried contacting you thrice in 48 hours," Turing replied. "I responded you were unavailable. Dr. Banner was cornered by General Ross's forces at Culver University to protect Betty Ross."
