Back in reality, Doomsday thrashed in its cage. Batman spoke. "I have a way." He activated his comm. "Alfred, prep the Kryptonite weapons."
Clark's eyes flickered with unease. James knew Batman's arsenal but stayed quiet.
Whoosh! James teleported beside Batman, grabbing his shoulder. They vanished, reappearing in the Batcave.
Bruce's eyes widened under his mask. James scanned the Kryptonite arsenal: spears, bullets, daggers. "Well-prepared," he said.
Batman grabbed a glowing green spear. "Kryptonite weakens Doomsday's regeneration. Stab its heart to kill it."
James took the spear. "Give it."
Bruce hesitated. "You sure? Kryptonite harms Kryptonians."
James gripped it, his skin paling briefly before adapting. "It barely affects me."
Batman stared, stunned. "You're immune?"
Back at the battlefield, James reappeared, spear in hand. Clark, Kara, and Wanda gasped. "That's Kryptonite!" Clark warned.
Kara gaped. "How can you touch it?"
Wanda's energy flared, ready to intervene. James said, "I'm immune."
He flew at the cage, slashing it open. Doomsday roared, but James drove the spear through its heart. Squelch! Green energy corroded Doomsday, its spikes crumbling, muscles withering. With a final scream, it collapsed, dead.
James pressed its corpse, storing it in his system space. Barry's jaw dropped. "He vanished that thing?"
Diana gripped her shield. "What power is that?"
Clark frowned, feeling outclassed. Batman spoke. "Who are you, really?"
James ignored him, eyeing Metropolis. "The enemy's not done."
A black figure descended, clad in a tattered "S" suit, eyes blood-red, aura oppressive. Clark's pupils shrank. "Who are you?"
The figure sneered. "I'm you, Clark Kent. From a truer world."
James asked, "Doomsday was yours?"
The dark Superman grinned. "A test to gauge this universe's heroes."
Barry shouted, "What do you want?"
The dark Superman's eyes glowed. "To kill all humans. All who defy me."
Clark demanded, "Why?"
His voice twisted with rage. "In my world, Lois died, my father died, Metropolis's 11 million burned in a nuclear blast—because of human greed and betrayal! I protected them, but they killed what I loved. So I woke up. Humans don't deserve saving."
He landed, eyes sweeping them. "I killed my world's Batman, Wonder Woman, all who resisted. I bathed in the sun for years, growing stronger. Now, I've crossed universes. This world's humans will meet the same fate."
James was unmoved. "You? Alone?"
The dark Superman's eyes flickered with caution, then madness. "You're strong, but not my match. I've killed too many like you."
Clark roared, charging. Boom! Their collision cracked the ground. Diana drew her sword. "We stop him!"
Barry blurred, disrupting the dark Superman. Kara and Wanda attacked, chaos magic and heat vision clashing. James rose, eyes blazing gold. "If you want death, I'll show you true power."
He wove golden runes, pulling everyone into the mirror dimension. Boom! Their fists met, shattering buildings, the ground collapsing into chasms—a pure Kryptonian duel.
