Chapter 56 - Chapter 54: Battle’s End

Boom! Hulk's fists cratered the mountain, debris flying. Shockwaves razed kilometers of forest.

"Adam!" Natasha steadied herself, pale.

Clint fired a grappling arrow, pulling her to a tree. "This is bad!"

Blue light erupted from the rubble. Boom! Adam soared out, antimatter energy blazing, eyes pure blue. "You've pissed me off," he growled.

Hulk roared, charging. Their mid-air collision warped space, antimatter clashing with raw power. Adam unleashed full force, each punch exploding like bombs.

Hulk staggered but healed instantly, growing stronger. He grabbed Adam's arm, hurling him into the ground, cratering it.

Adam shot up, forming a massive antimatter orb. "Game over."

Hulk tore through it, unfazed. Boom! The explosion's mushroom cloud leveled the forest.

Natasha and Clint were shielded by Adam's energy. Hulk knelt in a massive crater, wounds healing, rage burning brighter.

"Hulk… strongest!" he bellowed, skin gleaming metallic, muscles bursting.

Adam hovered, shaken. "No limit?"

Long Island Villa

James lounged on the terrace, flipping a silver coin under starlight. His super vision caught the distant battle in Canada—Adam's antimatter clashing with Hulk's green fury.

"Fighting?" He sat up, coin vanishing. Adam crashed into a mountain, debris flying.

"Antimatter energy," James mused, analyzing. "You'd be invincible, but you met the Hulk."

Hulk roared, shattering trees. His muscles swelled, veins glowing red. "Anger's his catalyst," James said, popping a watermelon slice from a portal. "This Hulk's not normal. Movie version would've been flattened."

Adam burst from the mountain, antimatter swirling. A blue beam hit Hulk, blasting him through hills.

"Nice shot," James nodded, munching. "But useless against him."

Hulk rose, wounds closing, body larger. "Anger fuels him," James said, tossing the rind into a portal—landing in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s office.

Adam, now pure blue energy, formed a micro black hole. Hulk charged, fists meeting it. Boom! The explosion leveled mountains, light blinding.

James smirked. "Show's over."

In the crater, Hulk lay wounded, skin cracked but healing. Adam hovered, drained. "Still standing?"

Hulk twitched, shrinking, green fading. Bruce Banner emerged, gasping. "It's… over?"

Adam landed, wary. "Banner? Feeling friendly, or do I need to go all out?"

"It's me," Banner rasped, sitting up. "I need… rest."

James withdrew his gaze, reclining. "Turing, track them."

"S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are approaching," Turing reported. "Fury's launched the Avengers Initiative."

James chuckled. "His boy band's complete."

His super hearing caught their voices: Natasha urging Banner to join, Adam speaking of guardians. James shook his head, gazing at the stars.

Footsteps approached. "Not sleeping?" Wanda asked, red hair glowing in moonlight.

"Neither are you," James replied.

She sat beside him, following his gaze. "What're you looking at?"

"The future."

Wanda tilted her head. "You're always so cryptic."

"Mage thing," he smirked.

Silence fell, the night breeze soft. "About Monaco," Wanda said hesitantly.

James raised an eyebrow. "So?"

"If you change your mind, I'd go," she said, biting her lip.

He studied her. "You want to?"

Her cheeks warmed. "I just… haven't seen the world since Hydra."

He stood. "Fine, tomorrow. Not Monaco."

Wanda's eyes widened. "Where?"

"Anywhere. Hawaii, maybe," he shrugged. "Training needs practice."

Her smile lit up, scarlet energy dancing. She ran off, calling, "I'll pack!"

James shook his head, heading to bed.

Morning

Sunlight filled the dining room. Wanda set a plate of eggs, scarlet energy placing it before James's usual seat.

"Turing, is he in the training room?" she asked, twirling her hair.

"Sir's been in the solar chamber all night," Turing replied. "He sensed your breakfast prep."

Wanda blushed. The training room door slid open. James emerged, black shirt rolled up, golden energy fading in his eyes.

"Eggs are better today," he said, coffee floating to him.

Wanda pushed toast over. "Added spices. Hope you like it."

He tasted it. "Cinnamon and nutmeg?"

"You know spices?" she asked, surprised.

"My taste buds analyze molecules," he said, waving his fork. "Good combo."

Wanda grinned, cutting her own food. "So, what's special about Hawaii?"

"Sun, sand," James said, snapping his fingers. A plumeria flower appeared on her plate. "And perfect for elemental magic."

Wanda lifted the flower, scarlet energy adding golden veins. "I thought it'd be stricter."

"Chaos magic thrives on emotion," he said, standing, sunlight outlining his frame. "Repression backfires."

He opened a portal to a Hawaiian beach, waves crashing, palms swaying. Wanda hesitated. "Should I wear a swimsuit?"

"Wouldn't hurt," James said, stepping through.

Warm sea air hit them. Wanda's bare feet sank into sand, scarlet mist forming around her. "Control," James said. "Sync with the environment."

She closed her eyes, magic stabilizing with the waves' rhythm. "Good," James said, now in swim trunks, his physique sculpted under sunlight. "Extend your energy to the water."

Wanda's scarlet ribbons danced over the sea, stirring waves. "Guide, don't control," James said, standing closer. "Like the wind."

Her energy synced, glowing vibrantly. "Why's it easier here?"

"Elemental affinity," he said, shaping water into a coral. "Every place has a unique energy field."

He grabbed her wrist, guiding her hand. "Feel this frequency."

Warmth spread through her, her magic amplifying, the sea shimmering. "I did it!" she cheered, nearly bumping his chin.

Their faces were inches apart. "Good talent," James said, stepping back. "Now shape the water."

Wanda, flustered, formed a crystal castle. It warped into a water dragon, crashing toward the beach. James's heat vision vaporized it, leaving a rainbow.

"Sorry!" Wanda gasped. "I got distracted."

"Distracted?" James grinned, water dripping down his chest. "By what?"

Wanda's eyes followed the droplets. "Just… zoned out."

He stepped closer. "At Kamar-Taj, zoning out means three extra hours."

Her eyes widened. "What?"

He snapped his fingers, conjuring chairs and an umbrella. "Rest, then continue."

Wanda collapsed onto a chair, stealing glances as James reclined, sunlight gilding his features.
