Chapter 38 - Chapter 38 Navia is attacked

The next day, Lin Qiu's new book, "love and teyvat," was released in Mondstadt.

As soon as it was known to be Teacher Qiu Cheng's new work, it immediately sold out upon release.

Qiu Cheng's books are now implicitly considered prophecy books.

Even if the future in the book has nothing to do with them, who wouldn't want to know what will happen in the future?

However, the current Lin Qiu was still completely unaware of this; he had just crawled out of the sofa.

"My head hurts so much." Lin Qiu clutched his head; last night's hangover was making him feel like his head was splitting open.

He checked the time; it was already noon, twelve o'clock, and he had an appointment to go to the beach with Navia today.

Speaking of Navia, Lin Qiu recalled some memories from when he was drunk.

He remembered that even though he was drunk at the time, his body's memory still guided him towards the bed.

However, when he finally reached the bed, he found someone already lying there, sound asleep—it was Navia.

During the party at the restaurant earlier, Navia hadn't drunk much, so it seemed she had truly let loose at Lin Qiu's home.

Then Lin Qiu lost consciousness and fell asleep on the floor, only waking up now.

"Is Navia still sleeping?" Lin Qiu looked towards the room.

"She's awake." A voice responded to Lin Qiu.

Only then did Lin Qiu notice there was someone else sitting in the living room.

Because he made no sound at all, Lin Qiu, whose mind was still hazy, had overlooked him.

"Clorinde?"

Lin Qiu hadn't expected Clorinde to still be here. Aren't you Furina's personal bodyguard?

"Aren't you going to protect Furina?"

Clorinde shook his head and said nothing.

He remained here partly to protect Navia.

The other reason was a task Furina had given him.

Furina wanted to establish contact with Lin Qiu, and now there was someone nearby who could interact with Lin Qiu.

So, he simply let Clorinde temporarily 'monitor' Lin Qiu.

Therefore, Clorinde's presence here was actually a work assignment.

That's also why he didn't drink last night; he never drinks while working.

Lin Qiu didn't delve into the reason Clorinde stayed, assuming he simply had the day off.

"Where's Navia?" Lin Qiu asked.

"He went to prepare the boat."

Because his job was to 'monitor' Lin Qiu, Clorinde didn't accompany Navia.

Lin Qiu nodded, realizing he should also set off.

After a quick tidying up, Lin Qiu and Clorinde headed towards the city outskirts together.

At the same time, Navia had just arrived at the beach and finished preparing the boat; he had also just woken up not long ago.

The boat was prepared by the Spina di Rosula, but they left after getting it ready.

Navia didn't want too many people to know about his secret operation with Lin Qiu.

This also led to rumors circulating within the Spina di Rosula that Navia was secretly dating an unknown male.

"This should be fine." Navia inspected the boat; there were no leaks.

Although the boat was prepared by his own people, the enemies were also 'his own people,' so Navia still had to be cautious.

Just then, several security mechs walked over.

Navia was a bit confused; encountering these mechs within Fontaine City was normal, but encountering them outside the city now felt off.

This was just a normal beach, not some restricted area.

Navia waved his small hand, and a two-handed axe appeared out of nowhere; the axe blade dropped to the ground, and Navia gripped the axe handle, dragging the war axe.

He didn't attack proactively; most security mechs represented the official forces of Fontaine, and Navia couldn't possibly strike first.

One of the mechs pointed its gun-arm at Navia.

"Oh? So you're making the first move." Navia prepared for battle.

More and more security mechs surrounded Navia, and the leading one had already opened fire first.

'Da da da' Fire element bullets poured out relentlessly.

Not just this mech, but some mechs behind him also joined the attack, and a sky full of fire bullets assailed Navia.

"Hmph!" Navia ignored these fire bullets and charged directly into the mech group.

The fire bullets were either dodged by his agile movements or splashed off his Geo element shield, creating tiny sparks.

"This is how you use a gun!"

Navia had, at some point, put away his axe, and the weapon in his hand had become an ornate parasol.

'Bang!'

The parasol pointed at the security mech, and the condensed Geo element bullets, like buckshot, carried terrifying destructive power.

The security mech directly facing the attack was undoubtedly shattered into components.

Even the mechs behind and beside it suffered considerable damage.

Navia didn't stop; the parasol in his hand disappeared, changing back into a two-handed axe.

A spin, driven by the axe's force, directly cut the surrounding mechs in half.

He back-jumped to break out of the encirclement, switched the axe back to the parasol, and fired another shot!

Under the back-and-forth attacks, the several security mechs at the forefront were all scrapped.

However, there were simply too many mechs surrounding Navia, causing them to eventually encircle him completely.

Some mechs had legs like blades, with Hydro element power swirling around them, their footwork and movements like figure skating.

Every attack angle made it exceptionally difficult for Navia to block.

Adhering to the idea that brute force prevails, Navia gave up on defending with weapons.

He opted for wide, sweeping attacks, relying entirely on his Geo element shield for defense.

This resulted in several attacks later, although Navia destroyed many more mechs, his shield was also close to breaking.

"Tsk."

Blocking attacks from tricky angles while dodging incoming bullets.

This made Navia feel a bit exhausted.

If his stamina ran out, the shield couldn't be maintained, and then the bullet sea would engulf him.

"Damn it."

Navia didn't even know how many mechs he had already shattered.

But the mechs in front of him were still so numerous that he couldn't see a single gap.

Marcel (Washer) knew Navia's strength.

He had also anticipated scenarios where Melus and Silver, or even Lin Qiu, might be present.

In his opinion, Lin Qiu, being a Vision holder, wouldn't be too weak.

Therefore, the forces dispatched this time were already considered a full expenditure, and it was normal for Navia to be Overstretched on his own.

Navia's stamina was almost depleted; his arms were sore, his hands trembled, and his chest rose and fell heavily.

All these signs indicated that Navia was nearing his limit.

The axe felt so heavy, and he could barely condense his element power anymore.

Navia looked at the fire bullets and water blades assailing him from all directions, unable to block them any longer, and could only rely on his Geo element shield.

He propped himself up with the axe to keep from falling; his Geo element shield was about to shatter.

Suddenly, Navia noticed that behind the water blades, there was also a water dragon.

The water dragon, after devouring the water blades, did not attack the surrounding mechs but instead charged directly towards Navia.

However, Navia did not defend; he even actively removed the protection of his element shield.

The water dragon directly hit the undefended Navia, swallowing him whole from above, Vaporizing all the surrounding fire bullets.

The surging Hydro element power enveloped Navia, and the Hydro element permeated his body, restoring his depleted element power.
