Chapter 572 - Chapter 572 Boss Lucas Has Really Changed!

"Hand sanitizer God of War, truly lives up to its name!" Ben exclaimed.

The scene just now was quite funny.

After a moment of reflection, Ben returned his attention to the game.

He had temporarily escaped the Lady's pursuit, but he still needed to find the faces of four statues to open the door to the castle hall.

Clearly, this was a very classic puzzle segment in the game.

During this time, the Lady would appear randomly in various parts of the castle, but her speed was very slow. Initially, it did create a little pressure for him.

But after getting a little used to it, Ben felt no pressure at all. Plus, there was a very safe place: the Duke's small room, where he could save the game, buy items, and enemies wouldn't chase him in.

Ben could even take some time to tease the Lady.

For example, he could take out a small knife from the game, sneak up behind the Lady, and slash her with the knife.

Since the Lady in the game was very tall, Ethan only reached her waist. What happened next was predictable and amusing.

Ethan's knife attacks were very cleverly aimed at places that couldn't be described in words.

"Holy crap! Duke, hurry and bring me a box of hand sanitizer, I can play here for a year!"

In the hall, Ben circled around the Lady like a trickster, secretly cutting her with his small knife two times above.

If he got stabbed, he'd just have Ethan wash his hands.

It was a shame the game didn't have a clothing damage system, otherwise this game would be a surefire hit!

After using up all the hand sanitizer he had and finally dying a tragic death by the Lady's claws, Ben let out his true feelings.

He reloaded his save file and started pushing through the game content again.

During this time, in the small room, he used a switch to bring in cold air and also managed to defeat another of the Lady's daughters.

After finding all four statues and opening the door to the castle hall, Ethan found a dagger in a coffin.

From the clues on the papers found earlier in the castle, it was known that this dagger could deal effective damage to the Lady.

Before Ethan, there was an assassin who had tried to assassinate the Lady with this dagger, but he had clearly failed.

The moment he picked up the dagger, the Lady finally caught up to Ethan, lifting him up, and Ethan took this opportunity to stab the Lady in the waist.

As the ancient dagger with special effects pierced the Lady's body, the once elegant Lady suddenly mutated, transforming into a huge, rotten monster like a dragon.

It had dragon wings and claws, but its head was like a rotunda man-eating flower with a gaping mouth. On its back, the Lady's human form could be faintly seen, surrounded by countless flies.

Ethan then engaged in a fierce battle with the mutated Lady on the tower roof.

With his shotgun, pistol, and newly acquired sniper rifle, this fight was incredibly exhilarating for Ben.

The Lady, who had transformed into a rotten dragon, continuously attacked Ethan around the tall tower. Bricks and tiles crumbled under her powerful attacks, making it incredibly thrilling.

"This is so damn satisfying!" Ben said excitedly. Luckily, he had maxed out his ammo with the Duke earlier, otherwise he wouldn't have had enough.

Because the Lady in front of him had an enormous health pool.

It wasn't until his pistol was almost out of bullets that the Lady let out a shrill roar: 'Ethan, you'll die a horrible death!'

Her massive body crashed onto the tower, causing the entire tower to collapse instantly. As the bricks beneath his feet slid, Ethan and the weakened Lady fell together.

Using the Lady's huge body as a cushion, Ethan only felt a little dizzy from the fall, but the Lady was not so lucky.

Her body began to calcify, and facing Ethan, she left her last venomous last words: 'It's too late! Ethan, you'll never see your daughter! I curse you, die a horrible death!'

With a crash, as soon as the words fell, the fully calcified Lady turned into a pile of powder, leaving only a statue.

"Whew... she's finally dead!" Ben took a deep breath, still full of excitement.

This boss fight, in fact, wasn't particularly high on the list of boss fights from Nebula Games' various series.

There were far more thrilling and exciting boss fights, especially in Bloodborne and Dark Souls.

But the key thing was that Resident Evil: Village was a horror game, and having such a thrilling boss fight was a novel and new experience.

Fortunately, he had chosen the easiest difficulty, otherwise, he might have had to fight the monster with just a knife.

Looking at his dwindling ammunition, Ben felt a sense of emotion.

Of course, this was also partly due to him wasting quite a bit of ammo. It was conceivable that on higher difficulties, players would need to use their ammo much more wisely, avoiding wasting every single bullet.

But that had nothing to do with him. He only ever played games on the easiest or normal difficulty.

This was his code of honor and belief as an ordinary gamer!

Looking at the crystal fragments in his hand, Ben let out a sigh of relief. Although it had only been a little over two hours.

He had only defeated the first of the Four Lords and the final boss Miranda.

But he was already very convinced, especially with the game's plot, which he still hadn't figured out.

Chris inexplicably killed his wife Mia, his daughter somehow fell into Miranda's hands, and he didn't know if Chris was alive or dead.

He had no idea what would happen next in the story.

However, the only thing that made Ben happy was that this installment of Village was incredibly fun to play.

There were indeed some scares, but more importantly, there was a sense of satisfaction.

Resource gathering, character development, and exciting combat.

Under the triple impact, the fear the game brought was greatly reduced.

It was clear that the subsequent levels would follow the same pattern. Boss Lucas had really changed!

At this point, Ben temporarily switched out of the game, took a screenshot of the calcified Lady, and posted it to the official Weibo and his Moments.

'What do you call a warrior of love? The current Boss Lucas truly lives up to the title!'

A horror game that could even make him have fun. When Resident Evil: Village was announced at the direct presentation, he had complained about Lucas. Now, thinking about it, he really shouldn't have.

This game was so fun, not at all dark, and not at all like hell.

Even if there were some jump scares, as a horror game, wasn't that to be expected?

There had to be some elements to set the atmosphere.

Ben continued to advance the plot with a smile on his face. Next, he planned to do some more scavenging, then return to the Duke's to save the game at the typewriter and log off, as it was getting late.

At the candlestick, Ethan found a dirty yellow bottle and studied it for a long time without understanding what it was.

On the way, he encountered the mysterious old woman again. However, one point caught Ben's attention.

On a wall in a room, there was a crest with the portraits of the Four Lords around it, and Mother Miranda in the center. In a later area, there was even a relief with a familiar design.

A mushroom-shaped pattern, exactly like the Umbrella logo.

Could there be a connection between the two!?

Ben became curious and continued to move forward.

But to his surprise, after a round trip, he had returned to the village where he had started.

And the plump Duke also appeared here. Judging by his tone, it seemed he was waiting for him.

Approaching him triggered a dialogue, and the subsequent plot left Ben in silence and confusion.
