Sirens were wailing and the ground was shaking slowly increasing , the thuds were slowly getting louder and louder and louder .
( It was 7 pm at night and the darkness was now setting in . It was in the south near the borderlands where the mist wall stood towering from the sky over and to the ground . Hellen was telling the kids the story of their origin when it happened) .
Helen : and then we were in the mist when we woke up we were in a whole new world which we did not know and we had no clue how to survive ( suddenly she heard the sirens wailing ) sorry kids .
Blink : Auntie please don't go don't leave us hanging like that we just got to the good part.( Putting on a sympathetic and pleading look on his face so that she could not leave them.)
Helen : sorry kiddos next time I'll tell you the rest okay . ( She smiled brightly to hide her anxiousness)
Blink: sure next time then don't forget ( he said this with a look that indicated she was a deciever or a forgetful person).
Helen : Don't think I'll forget so easily you got yourself a deal ( she said with a pouting look on her face) okay see you guys later .
Blink : show them hell auntie
Helen : Well this is hell Blink ( She said this while smiling exiting the room)
Suddenly Jim shouted while entering the room .
Jim : Helen come on we'll be late to the show ( Jim said this while grinning) this time it's gonna be big . I guess we'll have to go all out this time without holding back .
Helen : ( Who was standing still at the moment ) Then I guess it's gonna be a fun night ahead of us. Let's go ( they both exited the room and went down stairs then they entered an elevator which took them four floors up to the surface .
Jim : so how's lin doing these days is she great ( he says this in a serious tone)
Helen : She's actually getting better these days since she started living with her older brother she is doing great ( she said this while smiling)
Jim : what about weegamoru ( blink's real name) how's he coping down there . ( He asked this with a worried look on his face) .
Helen : Damn that kid is scaring me in some way .( With a questioning expression on her face)
Jim : yeah me too ( with a smiling face )
Helen : so what are we facing this time ( asked curiously )
Jim : A fildigrimm ( a fildigrimm is a beast with four wings six legs and eyes with a 360 degree view so believed ( authors say) ).
They then arrived at the surface where there were some commotion people running all over the place . One of the guards ran towards them and said while gasping for air breathlessly " Sir sir we have to hurry it's a code Blue" " what happened that's not a big issue " Jim replied . " The problem is sir that there are different types coming together at once" . Immedietly a second man and a third man arrived consequently and they both sounded stressed and scared" sir we have a code red " the first man said . "
" The second man said in a speechless tone "sir we have violet ones " ,his expression was brimming with fear." So where's the clan leader no I mean Chief " Jim said in a hurry . " He is preparing to launch a counter,he is assembling the elite as we speak , he sent us here to find you and the madame " the second man quickly replied with no hesitation. " Okey then let's get to base " blink said .
Over the speakers they heard" all leaders assemble in the chipped hall for a quick briefing". "I guess we gotta go to Helen " Jim said ." Yeah sure let's " Helen said with a wonderful remark. .....
( While they were walking towards the chipped Hall all the soldiers had now stopped following them because they were not allowed to access this area . Then a voice could be heard from behind them and immediately they turned to see who was there but no one could be seen. They then upped their guard getting ready to attack when someone spoke up.)
Dr spade : come on guys you don't even recognize me anymore ( he said this while he lowered a barrier which hid him from plain sight) guess you're getting old now guys.
A WHILE EARLIER....
AUTHORS POV
It was now getting late and due to exhaustion Dr spade decided to go home early and sleep it off he was exhausted. " It's been a while since I went on a vacation and my back is also aching ohh ( while starching his back) not just that by my whole entire body's aching to the core". It was early on in the evening outside and the barren grounds outside were the only things that he could see. He started asking himself questions which he could not get answers to :-
How do we destroy the mist ?
why aren't our mode ships able to get into orbit?
why do monsters mostly attack humans?
" Guess some questions won't get answers today while I'm this tired I wish we had more specimens which would not explode due to mana overload once they're dead " " I wonder if we found another way to kill them and to study them maybe then we can find a way to stop them . And also maybe why they attack us so much. ( He sighs looks up at the setting Sun) Damn I gotta get some sleep or I'll get sick for not sleeping". He then went towards the east where all sleeping quarters were and he entered a house which was not too big but was shaped red like the soil and went in.
Dr spade : how's it going speed I didn't think you would be on duty today. Heard you were promoted to deputy rank in the guards brigade .
Ihenya ( speed) : You know I don't like being called speed either you call me officer marcus.w.Ihenya or you just call me officer without any drama you hear me drama boy.( He said this in a serious tone while standing up from the desk behind him and started walking towards the elevator which was looking like it was going down )
Dr spade : sure sure whatever officer wade when you're free from work let's have a drink sometime life is not only just about work you workaholic. ( He said this while smiling at him and walking towards the elevator which would take him towards his home which was down) . Then we'll meet later and he looked at him curious while he was about to get into the elevator ( this man called Marcus how he is so powerful and he is able to sleep at the first layer base ohh I envy people with superpowers sometimes why should I go to layer three).( He then looked at him and waved goodbye). Till next time we meet speedy.( He said this while he laughed from the bottom of his lungs )
Ihenya - ( laughed sarcastically with a little grin ) game on a flower boy.
Dr spade : say what now ( said loudly) I guess I barked the wrong tree ( he said within.) ...
Spade was now on the first layer of the base where most people who are ranked either with average superpowers or little amount of mana live here it is a city where everyone is allowed to roam freely without any restrictions it is also beautiful for anything that can be found here with little to no problems. The second layer is slightly deeper and it was built for keeping people with higher mana level or those with little control to their super power there for they emmit wavelengths which can be senced so the lower your quarters the more powerful you are but that's not the case. The less control you have depending on your power capacity the lower you stay like in Dr spade case once he sleeps he lets loose and his release of his mana is high and while his awake almost no one can Sence him . The same case applies to many others .....
He now reached to his house in the third layer and he now removed his clothes which were red due to the soil he had a clock which he used to hide his body from the imense heat which was outside. He wore some tight garment which seemed like it was made from a wyvern to be his amour it was blue in colour and still light as normal clothes. He had to wear it this way so he could be able to fight at any moments notice he was still a soldier even with his lean build of a body . He then did some exercise which would keep him in top shape . It was now eight thirty O'clock Spade ate his dinner and he sat on his sofa remembering back in the day when they were fighting and he then dozed off.
He then was woken up by the alarm which was at around 11 pm when it rang and he immediately snapped and sprang up and he heard all officers report to your stations . He wore his amour in haste and exited the room " duty calls " is what he said when he exited his room. He then heard the message while he was surfacing to the ground. He went to the chipped hall which was towards the North base several kilometers around ten to be exact.
He decided to use his magic which would get him their fast when he was suddenly attacked . He had to move away so he diverted away from camp and he used his ice magic to cool the air and propel him and he made this and ice scates which he used on the ground which he had frozen to propel him further and faster. His attacker was a lightning bird which produces yellow lightning. When he was far away from where he could hurt anyone he said " time to get nasty you know just who you played with you overgrown flea bag, " he said this while the soroundings became at least negative fourty degrees.
