Chapter-46: I have two more requests, food and shelter are solved
Even the people in the second house combined are not as cunning as Wendy Lark. There is no girl in the entire Lark family who is smarter than her. "With you here, who can bully them? The Lark family is blessed to have you."
She is smart, capable, and protective. I really want to have a daughter like her, or a daughter-in-law would be fine too. Unfortunately, his son is still young and the two of them are not a good match in age.
Wendy Lark suddenly said, "I have two more requests."
"Wendy Lark." Wilson Lark was very worried and called her, fearing that she had offended the officials. Lord Jeff looked at her steadily and said, "Tell me what you want to say. I may not agree."
Wendy Lark patted her father's arm and silently comforted him, "First, our family of five will eat together, which will save trouble for everyone. Of course, my family will not take advantage of you and will give you one or two coins of silver for food every day."
One coin of silver is not a small amount, enough to feed an ordinary family of five for several days, but it is not calculated that way. Eating with the officials not only allows you to have hot meals and dishes, but also does not require you to worry about what to eat every day.
It also serves as a deterrent. If you want to bully the second branch, you should first think about the officials behind you. This is called using a big banner to cover up one's own shortcomings.
Lord Jeff pondered for a while and guessed her roundabout thoughts. He had to admit that people are different. But looking at the confused and uneasy Wilson Lark who didn't understand, he felt balanced. His daughter was smart and he was stupid.
"Okay." He can't eat and drink for free, but as long as the money is reasonable, he has no reason to refuse. Wendy Lark doesn't have a salary, so she has to fight for the interests of her employees.
"Second, I'll live where you live, and I'll pay for it." She didn't want to share a room with too many people. She wanted to sleep in a clean bed every day and take a hot bath occasionally.
As for my father and brothers, they slept on the floor, while other people, men and women, slept together in dormitories. Mr. Jeff said readily, "Okay."
Now that food and accommodation are solved, Wendy Lark's worries are mostly gone and she is more confident about the future. Wendy Lark did not make a decision on her own about whom to choose to remove the shackles, but let her family make the decision themselves.
The Lark brothers were extremely surprised and thought. (Is there such a good thing? However, they were both very humble and gave opportunities to each other.)
One is that the eldest brother should give way to his younger siblings, and the other is that the elder brother should give his turn first. Wilson Lark and his wife Mary are in a dilemma. Both sides of the hand are flesh and blood. This is a difficult choice.
Seeing that they were both yielding to each other, Wendy Lark was very satisfied. It was worth her time and effort. "In fact, I only need to wait a few more days, and I can free the other one from his shackles."
This time everyone believed it, the facts were right in front of them. Tom Lark is the eldest son of the second wife. He is rather weak and frail, unlike Jerry Lark who is physically strong, so he was chosen.
The fugitives were furious. One was fine, but why was there another one? Why? Mr. Jeff said calmly, "Miss Wendy Lark is going to cook for us, Tom Lark is her assistant, and Wilson Lark is there to help us with the chores of life."
Someone shouted unwillingly, "We can cook too, why you didn't pick me?"
The cook complained coldly, "Who told you not to show off?"
Everyone: …speechless…
This reason was so powerful that everyone was speechless. Old Madam Lark told herself not to fight with Wendy Lark, but as she watched the second wife's life gradually getting better while theirs was getting worse and worse, the jealousy in her heart grew like weeds.
Her rationality was temporarily overwhelmed by jealousy. "Wendy lark, you are really good at scheming, flattering, and flattering. We in the Lark family are ashamed of you."
Wendy Lark raised her eyebrows. Is he just remembering to eat but not to be beaten? Or is he relying on the fact that she won't beat the old lady? "Master Jeff, Old Madam Lark doesn't like you and scolds you for not being a good person."
She was a little tired, so she didn't do it directly, but used the opponent's force to counter it. Lord Jeff looked over with an unhappy expression, and Old lady Lark was like a bucket of cold water poured over her head. Her mind became clear and she became scared.
"I didn't do that. You're talking nonsense." She hurriedly said the words to clear her name as quickly as possible.
Wendy Lark just smiled politely, "Who is flattered to describe? And who can accept it?" They are treacherous ministers! They are all bad people! When Old lady Lark realized this, her face turned green.
She didn't think too much about it. Mr. Jeff glanced at the sky and said, "It seems that you are too full. Let's walk to digest the food." As soon as he struck the gong and drum, everyone stood up and set off.
Old lady Lark's eyes went dark and she almost fainted. She wanted to die! But she didn't dare disobey, so she had to get off the car and walk. After walking for a while, she was panting, sweating profusely, and begging for mercy.
