Chapter-45: support Wendy to become official cook
The Lark brothers were stunned, right? "You actually faked it! What about your skill in needlework? Is that skill fake too?"
Before the accident, Rita lark also doted on her. She had a strong personality and was the best in everything. "Why should I learn it when I have an embroiderer with superb skills at home? It's good enough if I can make a sachet."
Lark brothers: ...Speechless…
The Second Young Master Lark didn't understand, "Then how could Wendy Lark be so proficient?"
Rita Lark knew this. "They have a small kitchen in the second room, but they don't have a cook, so we have to do it ourselves."
The second young master Lark said, "So, the sufferings they endured in the past have become advantages, and what we are good at is useless?"
These words were too heartbreaking. Everyone around them moved away from them, thinking out of sight, out of mind. After finishing their meal, the officials wiped their mouths and said in unison.
"Lord Jeff, let Miss Wendy Lark be the cook. I'll be happy when I think about eating the meals she cooks every day."
"I support that."
"Me too…." One after the other those escort guards supported the idea of Wendy lark becoming their cook.
After eating Wendy Lark's hand cooked meal, the official's favorable impression of her suddenly increased. "I second the proposal. I can eat ten bowls of the meal prepared by Miss Wendy Lark."
"You eat ten bowls! Are you a pig?" If you haven't tasted Wendy Lark's cooking, you can still eat pig food without knowing it. But after eating it, I couldn't stand it anymore. There are obviously better ones, why should we endure?
Lord Jeff would be happy to do so, but would Miss Wendy Lark agree? "If she does, I am afraid that others will be jealous of me." He said this with confidence and a hint of pride.
Wilson Lark on the side nodded vigorously. "Yes, his daughter was good in everything except that she was too outstanding, which made her easy to be envied and hated."
Lord Jeff was stunned. Her actions were one outrageous move after another, and her reasons were even more outrageous. "Who dares? Unless you are tired of living..."
Wendy Lark was terrified. "My grandmother, my eldest uncle, and my third uncle hate me so much that they secretly want to kill me. What they say behind my back is even worse.
Hey, I'm a polite and good girl with a peaceful and kind temperament. I only want world peace...ah, I mean I want everyone to be happy and live in harmony." Lord Jeff felt so tired looking at the girl who was talking nonsense.
(What did she want to do? she should be planning to lit fire under someone's ass again.) He thought and felt right about his thought with confidence.
"You are right, but with me and my brothers here to keep the peace, they won't be able to cause any trouble. I guarantee you a safe journey." It was a promise to protect her along the way, a promise others could only dream of. Wilson Lark was so excited, this is great.
Wendy Lark, however, had a gentle and peaceful look on her face. "Master Jeff, you are such a good person, but you are all outsiders, so it is not convenient for you to stay by my side every minute. I want my father and brother to take turns to accompany me."
"But they are all in chains, which makes it difficult for them to do anything, let alone protect me." Wilson Lark has already done it as a handyman, and he has two older brothers.
Lord Jeff looked up at the sky in silence, (You are really amazing, Miss Wendy. I knew you were up to something.)
Wilson Lark on the side was breathing heavily with excitement, his eyes sparkling. Will the adults agree? Just as Lord Jeff opened his mouth to speak, there was a commotion in the crowd and a fight broke out!
Several men were fighting each other, the scene was chaotic and screams were heard frequently. Lord Jeff's eyes narrowed and he picked up his weapon and rushed over.
As soon as he rushed forward, other officers followed to suppress him, lashing him with whips like raindrops. Soon, the situation was under control. When I asked about the situation, I found out that they were fighting over a few steamed buns.
In order to survive, what does propriety, righteousness, and integrity and shame matter? Jeff was too lazy to judge the case for them, so he whipped the person who started the fight with ten lashes, and warned them seriously
"If I see someone fighting again, I will not let you eat for two days." This is more frightening than any punishment. The feeling of hunger can drive a person crazy. Besides, if you don't eat for two days and have to walk dozens of miles, you will be disabled if not dead.
Everyone was silent as a cicada and as obedient as sheep. Lord Jeff then returned to his original position, looked at the smiling Wendy Lark, and said, "Well, I can only give you another spot otherwise I won't be able to convince everyone."
The prices are all over the place and people bargain on the spot. Wendy Lark pondered for a moment and decided that this was fine, as it would only delay the matter for a few days.
"That's great, thank you, sir. My father and brother are both honest people without any ulterior motives. They are always bullied. Please take care of them in the future." This had been seen long ago, otherwise Lord Jeff would not have dared to remove their shackles.
Even the people in the second house combined are not as cunning as Wendy Lark. There is no girl in the entire Lark family who is smarter than her. "With you here, who can bully them? The Lark family is blessed to have you."
