Chapter 132 - 127

After hearing this, everyone was shocked.

What?

What is the Perfección Technique?

Many had never even heard of the name Perfección.

As for the secret of its origin, even fewer understood it.

Sōsuke Aizen spoke calmly:

"You don't need to know too much about the Perfección Technique. You only need to understand that different practitioners possess various extraordinary abilities."

Everyone in Hueco Mundo reacted with disbelief. The revelation was overwhelming.

"Is Yuta still even human?"

"Can anyone survive against something like this?"

"And a Shinigami has comprehended the ability of the Perfección Technique?"

Tier Harribel herself had not expected this outcome. None of them could stand against Yuta directly, and not one of them had even managed to heal the wounds he inflicted.

Even in his absence, the thought of Yuta lingered in their minds as if he were some unrivaled existence, someone untouchable and profound. It felt as though they were witnessing the birth of something beyond imagination.

Soul Society

Inside the First Division's assembly hall, the captains and lieutenants voiced their doubts aloud.

"Logically speaking, isn't it impossible for a material such as the Hōgyoku to be influenced by someone's will?"

"What exactly happened?"

"Could there be a power that overrides the Hōgyoku?"

"That's impossible. The Hōgyoku is an indestructible substance. Could spiritual pressure alone really alter it?"

"Maybe not by our strength, but what if someone possesses an ability beyond what we can comprehend?"

"Who? Who could possibly possess such overwhelming ability?"

Orihime Inoue hesitated before speaking:

"Could it be that Aizen Sōsuke is lying? Or maybe… he's trying to cause suspicion among us?"

Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto shook his head firmly:

"No… he has no reason to lie here."

Kurosaki Ichigo suddenly felt the weight pressing hard on his chest. Not long ago, he had been an ordinary student, but in less than a month, the world itself now stood on the edge of collapse. He questioned if there was any chance he could survive the next twenty-nine days. Could he truly gain the strength to fight Aizen Sōsuke?

That pressure felt suffocating, crushing down on him from all sides. But he understood clearly that he could not falter. If he wavered here, the world would be lost. His family, Orihime, Sado, Ishida-all of them had to be protected by his own two hands. He could not hesitate. He needed to grasp power beyond what he had now, whether it meant wielding the strength of Hollows, the strength of Shinigami, whatever it required.

Orihime felt the unease as well, the atmosphere heavy as storm winds. Her thoughts drifted to her classmates, to friends who still lived in ignorance of the disaster approaching. Even if she wanted to reveal it all, she knew she could not burden them with knowledge of what was coming.

Sado Yasutora finally spoke up:

"Then couldn't we ask the human world government to use nuclear weapons against Aizen?"

Several captains stiffened at the statement. Yamamoto's brow twitched at the suggestion, the idea strangely reminiscent of something Yuta himself might have said.

After clearing his throat, Yamamoto answered:

"Regardless of whether a nuclear weapon could destroy Aizen Sōsuke, if one fell upon Karakura Town, the town itself would vanish instantly. Several surrounding cities would also be annihilated. In the end, it would be no different from Aizen's terrorism."

Sado blinked, scratching the back of his head:

"Oh… I see."

The captains exchanged wary glances with one another.

"His appearance is rugged, but his thinking is far bolder than I imagined."

"To even consider tactics like nuclear weapons…"

"It seems we underestimated him."

Sado hurried to explain:

"Actually, I only mentioned it because I heard Yuta-san talk about it earlier. He said something like… if Aizen's the problem, then the solution would have to be equally extreme."

Yamamoto's expression softened slightly as he exhaled an uncharacteristic sigh.

"So it was Yuta again… what a dangerous mind that boy has."

Even had Mayuri Kurotsuchi been present, his deranged intellect would have appeared tame compared to Yuta's willingness to weigh such absolute measures. Against that kind of ruthless thinking, even Aizen seemed like a lesser threat.

Ichigo felt his skin crawl. To Yuta, something as heavy as nuclear warfare seemed like nothing more than another tool to mention in passing.

Shunsui Kyōraku spoke up with his usual casual tone:

"Truth be told, Yama-jii himself is like a nuclear bomb. In fact, he's far worse than one. As long as he's here, it would be hard for Aizen Sōsuke to win."

Before he could grin further, Yamamoto's staff smacked him sharply atop the head, silencing him.

Laying down his weapon again, Yamamoto stated flatly:

"This burden involving you humans is truly pitiful. Soul Society should have been able to resolve this without outside involvement."

Orihime waved her hands quickly:

"No, please… it's no trouble at all…"

At that moment, Ukitake Jūshirō stepped forward with his usual calm smile. His gentle demeanor drew the room's attention and set minds at ease. He extended an item toward Ichigo.

"What's this?" Ichigo asked, blinking in surprise.

Ukitake explained:

"This is a Substitute Shinigami Badge. It is issued to humans permitted by Soul Society to carry the powers of a Shinigami in the living world. With it, you can freely shift into your soul form and carry out missions."

"Ah… I see." Ichigo accepted the badge awkwardly, still uncertain but respectful of the gesture.

Sado tilted his head and frowned slightly, pointing at the emblem on the badge:

"Why does this mark look like that? The pattern almost looks like… it's prohibiting substitutes."

The design was a dark skull, its shape carrying an ominous air that unsettled more than a few in the room. Ichigo shrugged it off.

"Maybe you're just reading too much into it…"

Elsewhere

As Mayuri Kurotsuchi brought down his Bankai's golden blade and tore through the Jizō guardian, its body distorted into a grotesque golden doll spewing poison. The clash signaled the end of their brief exchange.

The two exchanged formal words of challenge.

Mayuri declared: "My Bankai's range will leave every living thing within it poisoned, save for myself."

Uryū Ishida replied coldly: "Then I only need to strike you down before your poison reaches me."

Their powers collided-the golden doll flooding the field with noxious gas, while Uryū's arrows of reishi cut across the air like blades of light. The impact rocked the battlefield, shaking everything within their range.

Mayuri gave ground in his usual way, reforming himself with fluidity before escaping into liquid form using his prepared contingencies.

Above them, Yuta hovered motionless in the air. He raised a hand and laid a barrier across the field, compressing the spiritual pressure of both combatants inside and sealing its shockwaves from reaching beyond the battlefield.

If left unchecked, such a battle would have drawn the attention of too much of the Seireitei.

Yuta snapped his fingers lightly, and in the next moment…
