Chapter 108 - 104

"How can it be?"

"How can one person master so much Kidō, Shikai, and even Bankai?"

"This goes far beyond the limits of what a Shinigami should be capable of…"

"Unless…"

The mechanical hands of Senjumaru shifted slightly as her gaze fixed on the figure displayed before them. "Unless he has already transcended the concept of Shinigami itself."

Oetsu Nimaiya's expression hardened as he exhaled sharply. "Only then would it make sense. That's the only way his ability could surpass the so-called 'limitless potential' of a Shinigami."

As outrageous as the idea sounded, nothing else could explain why Yuta could so casually shatter even basic-level techniques and collapse them outright.

Tenjirō Kirinji still looked disbelieving, his voice low. "Just now… didn't I hear that he only entered the Shinō Academy a few days ago?"

"How much could anyone possibly learn in just a few days?"

Ichibē Hyōsube, the commander of the Royal Guard, spoke with steady gravity. "It isn't about how long he studied. That blade in his hand is the Œgreat compendium of the Spirit King's knowledge itself-the Great Spirit Book Corridor. From there he has taken in the foundations of every Shikai and every Bankai recorded in the history of Soul Society."

"What…?"

Even though some of them had suspected an explanation of that scale, hearing it confirmed left each member of Squad Zero unsettled. The implications meant that one man now possessed knowledge and mastery that generations of Shinigami had cultivated and guarded for millennia.

How powerful would someone be if they could manifest every Bankai at will? It was not hyperbole to say the world itself might be destroyed under such force.

"This kind of ability is far too dangerous," Senjumaru said, her tone heavy. She had yet to witness Yuta employ such a technique directly, but even the thought left her uneasy. "Could he have even taken the Bankai of those within Squad Zero as well?"

One of the attendants within the command chamber spoke quietly. "And this is only a fraction of his power."

The members of Squad Zero turned sharply, their composure shaken once again.

"This is only part…?" The thought was difficult to reconcile. If even this much was a fraction, then what could his true strength possibly be?

Ichibē's eyes narrowed on the image before them. "As I said, that sword is not a sword at all. It is the Great Spirit Book Corridor itself. Which means that until now… Yuta has not even drawn his true Zanpakutō."

"In other words… everything he has done so far is equivalent to fighting barehanded."

The weight of the statement sank into the room. Every member present felt the air dry in their throats.

The Shinigami maintaining the image projection froze, his hands trembling against the equipment controls. This was something far beyond the scope of a normal academy graduate-beyond the scope of sanity itself.

Originally he had thought Yuta was a mere novice who had quickly graduated from Shinō Academy, but such assumptions no longer held meaning. What stood before them was something else entirely-a being whose very existence challenged the laws they had lived by for centuries.

Tenjirō Kirinji finally forced the question aloud. "Then… what is Yuta's Zanpakutō? What abilities does it hold? How much greater does it extend?"

Ichibē shook his head slowly. "I cannot say. I cannot perceive its name… I cannot even sense its existence at all. Whether it is one blade, several blades, a bow, an arrow… the truth is unknown."

---

Elsewhere, Komamura Sajin and Tōsen Kaname arrived at Room 46 accompanied by two vice-captains. What they found was a massacre. The chamber that had once housed the forty-six judges was drenched in blood, none of them left alive.

Both men froze at the sight, but the familiar surge of Bankai spiritual pressure had already told them something catastrophic had happened before they entered. Komamura's voice was heavy. "Who slaughtered all of the Central Forty-Six?"

Retsu Unohana, already within the chamber, glanced at him sharply. "Be careful of Tōsen."

Komamura's instincts reacted a moment later as he leapt forward just in time to evade Tōsen's silent strike. The disappointment in Tōsen's voice was clear. "It seems my movements were not quick enough."

Confusion and anger twisted Komamura's features. Tōsen had been his ally, one of the few he considered a true friend. His voice cracked with disbelief. "Tōsen… why? Why would you betray us now?"

"You will never understand," Tōsen replied coldly.

Behind them, Aizen Sōsuke's calm tone cut through the tension. "Tōsen. Come. We are leaving shortly."

"Understood." Without hesitation, Tōsen stepped back into Aizen's shadow.

Recognition and fury struck Komamura in the same instant. He finally saw the truth laid out before him-Tōsen and Gin at Aizen's side, their presence no longer concealed. Betrayal had been in their midst all along. His hands tightened on his Zanpakutō as he roared. "So it was you, Aizen! You've twisted him into this!"

He lunged forward with his massive blade, but Aizen did not even turn. His smile carried an air of complete control as he raised one finger casually. "Hadō Number 90: Kurohitsugi."

Dark turbulence warped the air, compressing into a massive black coffin that swallowed Komamura whole. When it collapsed moments later, Komamura fell bleeding and broken to the ground, barely clinging to consciousness, his weapon slipping from his grasp.

Kotetsu Isane gasped from nearby. "What…? He crushed Captain Komamura with one technique…"

The chamber grew tense as yet more captains arrived-Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni, Ukitake Jūshirō, Kyōraku Shunsui, and others filling the room with their presence. Even Soi Fon closed in, her blade poised near Aizen's throat.

But Aizen's composure never faltered. His gaze swept across them as though untroubled, his voice as calm as ever. "You are already too late."

Yoruichi's voice cut across the air suddenly. "Soi Fon, move!"

Before anyone could react, the ceiling tore open as three immense beams of light crashed down over Aizen and his allies. The roof of the Central Forty-Six shattered outward, revealing the sky as space above ripped apart like torn fabric. From within emerged towering forms, their massive frames masked and hollow, their presence accompanied by countless glowing red eyes within the void. The oppressive spiritual pressure of Hollows flooded outward like thick, suffocating mist as the darkness widened and spread.
