Prison.
Yuta glanced at Tsunayashiro Tokinada with contempt, then suddenly rushed forward, grabbed Tokinada by the neck, and lifted him off the ground.
Tokinada hadn't expected Yuta to act without warning, much less with strength so overwhelming that he was completely unable to resist.
"Yuta… you… what are you doing?"
Yuta looked at him with disgust in his eyes. The way he stared made it seem as if even glancing at Tokinada was enough to make him feel soiled.
"Cooperate with me? You think you're worthy?"
With dismissive ease, Yuta flung Tokinada at the wall as if discarding trash. The impact resounded with a dull bang, and though Yuta hadn't used much force, fractures spread across the wall in web-like patterns.
Click-click-gravel tumbled down as Tokinada slumped to the ground. He looked up at Yuta with visible fear; sunlight from behind made Yuta's standing figure seem eerily commanding.
"How... how is this possible? Your spiritual pressure-it's at captain level... No, at least third rank... or higher..."
Tokinada pushed himself up and wiped the blood trailing from his mouth, unable to process how completely powerless he had been before Yuta.
Yuta met his stare with cold indifference. "Do what you want. Madness only leads to destruction."
Tokinada chuckled through the blood in his throat and spat. "Hahaha... Destruction? So what? I'm not the one who's mad-it's this world!"
Yuta didn't acknowledge the words. Without another glance at him, he turned and walked away.
Outside, sunlight poured over Seireitei. Yuta raised his head to face its warmth, then narrowed his eyes.
"Now, it's time to visit the Tsunayashiro family."
His figure vanished in the next instant, streaking across the sky as if transformed into light itself.
Any Shinigami who might have witnessed it would have been stunned. That movement wasn't just fast-it defied what most believed possible by Shunpo alone.
Yuta soared above the cityscape of Seireitei. The buildings and stone paths spread beneath him in orderly rows-but from this height, they looked small and distant, as if part of another world entirely. He felt removed from it-like looking down at pieces on a chessboard, not people.
Wind howled across the sky, tugging at the sleeves of his black uniform. It billowed behind him, cutting through the air like it answered to no one but him.
He glanced downward. He wasn't sure where exactly the Tsunayashiro home was-but the Spirit Book responded without delay, offering its knowledge directly to Yuta's mind.
There-in the heart of the inner court-the most ostentatious estate stood out with ease. Bigger than anything around it; elegant stone walls and curved rooftops gleamed in the sunlight. It was unmistakable.
Nobles lived here, and their privileges set them apart from those outside these walls. Even the Seventh Division stood on guard here constantly, posted as dedicated security.
Yuta dropped toward it like iron shot through the sky.
Beneath the estate, deep underground-
Within the Tsunayashiro family's hidden meeting chamber, several elders sat around discussing recent events.
"You've heard-the Kitsune is dead?"
"Damn it… I didn't expect him to be killed in prison. Who did it?"
"Reports say he captured the Kidō Corps Captain and went to visit him in confinement. That was his last known action."
"So… the Kidō Corps Captain? What's his name?"
"I think it's Yuta."
"That one… with the Zanpakutō that copies other people's Bankai? Though he hasn't used Bankai himself. If he grows unchecked-it might become dangerous for us…"
"Are you suggesting we kill him?"
"No reason not to. Just another civilian life. Haven't we taken enough of those already?"
Before another word left their mouths, the walls trembled under the force of shouting that broke through stone and echoed through the halls.
"I'd like to hear-who was planning to kill me?"
It wasn't just the words but the weight behind them-spirit pressure poured through the chamber like thunderclap. The sound pierced the ears of everyone present-tinnitus screamed in their skulls as spiritual pressure ruptured eardrums. Blood ran out from their ears before they even realized the pain.
Boom!
Before any of the elders could react, the ceiling above them exploded inward.
Stone shattered. A round hole several meters wide opened in the ceiling of the underground room. Light blazed through in harsh contrast to the dimness they were used to.
Their eyes narrowed against the brightness-hands instinctively rose to shield their faces from the sun that had suddenly breached their dark domain.
When the dust cleared, part of the table had collapsed completely. A huge portion of the ceiling had fallen in, striking several elders and covering the floor in scattered rubble. Shards and splinters flew into faces and eyes-blood flowed freely as several cried out in pain or surprise.
"Who dares intrude upon the elders' private chamber?"
"Where are the secret guards?! Capture him!"
None of them had time to process the breach-they had always trusted that the Tsunayashiro family's secret mobile guards would protect them from outside threats.
Swish-swish-
Figures clad in black robes and masks descended from the hole in the ceiling-secret guards armed and ready. They moved quickly, surrounding the intruder without hesitation.
Seeing their arrival brought some calm to the elders. Their expressions relaxed slightly as they spoke again-
"This man violated strategic territory. Take him into custody!"
All the guards moved at once-blades drawn-intent to strike as they closed the circle.
Yuta glanced at them silently-not with aggression-but with cold dismissal.
At first, the guards appeared unaffected; they moved forward in formation with precision.
Yet one by one-as their bodies advanced-thin black lines appeared along their necks.
Their heads had been severed without them realizing it.
Their eyes didn't reflect any pain or fear-only confusion-as their heads separated from their bodies mid-stride, continuing forward briefly before succumbing to gravity and slumping to the ground.
Their bodies followed seconds later-falling one after another with dull, final impacts.
None of them had time to scream.
Even though the Tsunayashiro elders had seen their share of violence within Soul Society-what they now witnessed rendered them speechless. The scene in front of them was too clean, too fast… too unfamiliar.
Their eyes widened. Pupils shrank.
"You… who are you...?"
