Chapter 113: Being Kind to the Enemy Is Being Cruel to Yourself
"Heh, almost the entire Spirit Master's world knows that my Brother Hao obtained the Slaughter God Domain a few years ago," Tang Xiao sneered, defusing the situation. "Just now, his killing intent was merely out of control. Don't go around slandering good people."
With Tang Chen absent, the Clear Sky Clan could not afford a war with Spirit Hall. After speaking, he ignored the guards and pulled Tang Hao deeper into the city, leaving behind only their mocking laughter: "The Clear Sky Twin Stars are nothing special after all."
To prevent another clash, Tang Xiao hurried to the hotel specifically prepared for the Upper Three Clans.
"Brother Hao, are you angry with me?" Tang Xiao asked with a wry smile. His brother wasn't even calling him 'Big Brother' anymore.
"I hate those who grovel the most," Tang Hao said angrily, clearly still bothered by his brother's earlier forbearance.
From a window in a private room of the restaurant opposite the hotel, a crimson-robed figure watched the scene, pursed his lips, and drained the wine in his cup. It was Qin Xuan. Beside him, Mo Ya and Bai Feng knelt on the ground, reporting on their recent surveillance.
"Hmm, you two did well. But your spirit power is still too low," Qin Xuan said, looking at their system panels. One had reached level 63, the other level 54. For their age, it was the level of a rare genius, but it was still too weak for his future plans.
"My Lord, your subordinates have disappointed you," they said, bowing their heads.
"Rise. I don't mean to blame you. You've already done very well," Qin Xuan smiled.
Just then, a long-unheard system prompt sounded in his mind:
[Ding! Detectable goddess, please bind as soon as possible.]
In the hotel opposite, a white-clad young woman with sky-blue hair walked out.
"Brother Xiao, Brother Hao. Is it really you two?" she asked in surprise.
"Young lady, who are you?" they asked, bewildered.
"How could you two be like this? I'm not talking to you anymore," Tang Yuehua pouted unhappily, seeing that they didn't recognize her.
"Are you... Yuehua?" Tang Xiao asked uncertainly.
"No way!" Tang Hao said in disbelief.
Four years ago, she was just a little girl. Now, she had blossomed into a graceful young lady.
System Profile: [Daughter of the Clear Sky Clan Master, Tang Yuehua, Martial Soul: Ruyi Ring, Innate Domain: Noble's Ring, Spirit Power: Level Nine, Innate Talent: ???]
"No way," Qin Xuan echoed, equally surprised. The system had defined her as a conquerable goddess. This was problematic. The Clear Sky Clan was destined to be his enemy. Caught between these contradictions, he ultimately chose to let fate decide. Sparing the Clear Sky Clan was impossible. Mercy to enemies was cruelty to oneself, and the original Spirit Hall was a cautionary tale.
Amidst his thoughts, a white-browed elder walked out of the hotel. "Haha, what did I tell you, Yuehua? Your two brothers really didn't recognize you."
"Second Elder," Tang Hao and Tang Xiao quickly bowed respectfully.
The Second Elder of the Clear Sky Clan checked their spirit power. "Not bad," he smiled. "Xiao'er has reached level 83, an increase of five levels in four years. Hao'er is even more outstanding, already at level 79, an increase of nine levels! He truly lives up to his reputation as a once-in-a-century genius."
"Second Elder, you flatter us," the two brothers bowed.
"Second Elder," Tang Xiao said, changing the topic, "just now when we entered the city, we heard those guards talking about some Second Majesty and Second High Priest. Has something big happened?"
