Chapter 6 - EP 6.

Episode 6 – "Late Night Vibes"

It was 2:03 AM.

The world was asleep. Streetlights flickered outside, and the only sound was the occasional buzz of Hemant's phone. He lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, overthinking things he didn't even understand.

Then he picked up his phone and sent a message —

"You awake?"

Almost instantly, the reply came.

"Of course. Sleep is for normal people."

He smiled. Somehow, he knew she'd be up too. Their timing was always oddly perfect — like the universe wanted them to talk exactly when they needed it the most.

They didn't start with anything deep.

Hemant: "So what's keeping you awake tonight?"

Tanishka: "Probably the same thing as you — nothing and everything."

They laughed. Emojis flew. A reel or two got shared.

But beneath the jokes, the teasing, and the memes, there was something real — something warm and unspoken.

It wasn't love.

It wasn't just friendship either.

It was them — their own kind of undefined bond.

Tanishka: "You ever feel like we talk more at night because it's easier to be honest in the dark?"

Hemant: "Maybe. Or maybe because I don't want to sleep when I could be talking to you."

There was a pause.

Not awkward.

Just… real.

He started typing again — then erased it.

He was going to say: "You feel like home."

But instead, he just wrote:

"Talking to you makes my heart rest, even if I don't sleep."

Tanishka didn't reply for a while.

Then she sent one emoji: 💫

The same one they always used when they didn't have the words.

Time passed without them noticing.

2 AM became 3. Then 4.

They talked about everything and nothing.

Her annoying classmate. His weird playlist.

Their fake plans for a Goa trip that they both knew they'd never take — but still laughed about.

It wasn't about what they were saying.

It was how they were saying it.

With comfort. With ease. With trust.

At 4:27 AM, Tanishka messaged:

"My eyes are shutting. I need sleep, Dum Dum."

Hemant: "Just one last thing…"

He paused again.

Typed: "Don't ever leave."

Erased it.

Typed: "You matter to me more than I admit."

Erased that too.

Finally, he just sent: "Good night, troublemaker. Dream of me."

Tanishka: "Only if you're there to protect me from the nightmares."

And with that, they ended the night.

No confessions. No drama.

Just quiet understanding, and two souls that didn't need to say much to feel everything.

Because sometimes, the best relationships begin at 2 AM —

when hearts are raw, guards are down, and nothing is filtered.
