Xavier's POV
"It's a pleasure seeing you again, Alpha Xavier." The Alpha said to me and I simply nodded with a smile. I wasn't sure I was going to say the same because I clearly wasn't so cool with being in this event.
I turned to look at Zara who was staring from me to the Alpha who was right in front of us. Her face screamed utter confusion and I knew why.
I had played along with the information that she was my woman. I wonder what she thought about that.
Soon, there were about two more guests who came to greet the Alpha. Seeing his gaze was no longer on us but the new people who were now standing close to him, Zara pulled my hands to draw my attention to her.
"Why are you not telling him the truth Xavier?" She mumbled under her breath and I couldn't help but feel amused at the spot.
"What truth needs to be told? Last I remembered, I never told a lie here, did I?" I asked her and she scoffed at me while rolling her eyes.
