DECKARD'S POV
Deckard had never been more scared in his life.
He'd arrived at the mountain to find the cavelike entrance blocked by heavy boulders of rocks, all the mighty pillars reduced to rubble and dust. The golden moon in the sky blossomed as a bad omen than anything else.
Then she'd dropped from the sky in a flare of light, beautiful and ethereal in every possible way. Her descent released a surge of warmth in his heart, something he was still trying to get used to since that day on the altar.
The presence of the King Alpha and the other pack alphas must've been overwhelming because she fled into the woods. Deckard, with Tristan at his side, had chased after her.
The woman they'd found was Audrey, but with a different aura. The spark of power oozing off her was unmistakable, her beauty undeniable, the fire in his heart unquenchable when she'd kissed him. Like catching his breath after so many years submerged under the darkness of an ocean.
