Chapter 8 - A photo together in front of the flame(part7)

Ahmed and Mr. Haruki arrived at the airport in Tokyo. Afterwards, Haruki and Ahmed went to the gang headquarters. After a short while, Misaki appeared with hesitant steps but with eyes gleaming with astonishment. The first thing she did was take her father aside, moving a little away from Ahmed. In a low voice she said:

Misaki: "Father... what did you do to Ahmed? Why did he seem to know me from a long time ago?"

Mr. Haruki smiled and answered her calmly:

Haruki: "Misaki... since Ahmed was little, he has been training. His father trained him in languages and fighting, and I was always by his side. We went through many tests with him: shooting, stealth, even patience in the most difficult situations. He did not come from nothing; he is the fruit of long years of training and we showed him the pictures."

At that moment, Misaki remembered the old pictures that Ahmed had seen: their photo together in training, moments of childlike laughter between them, and shots of him diligently learning Japanese. The memories came back to her, and she smiled against her will.

Then Ahmed approached with hesitant steps, greeted her, and said:

Ahmed: "It's an honor to meet you, Misaki... I hope we succeed in this mission together."

Misaki raised her eyes to him and replied with a small smile, as if she were hiding her shyness:

Misaki: "We'll see if you are truly as Father says..."

### **The Night Mission: Exposing the Corrupt Police Station**

At night, Ahmed and Misaki were watching the corrupt Japanese police station from afar. Fifty meters away, they placed the small camera to record the drug sales inside the station. The faint lights and the suspicious faces of the corrupt police officers all appeared clearly in the video.

As soon as they got the evidence, Ahmed nodded to Misaki, and they took out their weapons:

The "Glock 19" pistol for close-range combat.

The "AK-47" rifle to cover the attack from a medium distance.

The "Barrett M82" sniper rifle for long-range shooting.

They moved together. Misaki fired the rifle at the glass to create a diversion, while Ahmed advanced with steady steps, then took a sniping position from 300 meters, and fired a precise bullet that penetrated the head of the corrupt police chief, dropping him to the ground.

Misaki stopped, stunned, looking at Ahmed in astonishment:

Misaki: "I've never seen such precision... how...?"

Ahmed smiled lightly as he took aim at another target:

Ahmed: "That's how my father taught me since I was ten."

Together, they finished off the rest of the corrupt police officers, then they brought gasoline barrels and set the drugs on fire. The flames rose high, lighting up the dark night.

Ahmed took out his camera and filmed the drugs burning, then turned to Misaki and said:

Ahmed: "Let everyone witness that we have left no trace."

Misaki approached him, and raised the other camera to take a photo of them together in front of the burning flames. It was a strange moment that combined danger and romance, between the smoke and the light.

Misaki (to herself): "I wonder... do you really remember me?"
