Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 : Syura!!

"Ren, is there anything you need me to do?" Seeing Ren, Akame looked at him expectantly.

After such a long time, she hadn't even exchanged a single word, let alone shared any information, which made her quite frustrated.

"Sister." Kurome pouted in dissatisfaction and looked at Ren.

"Yes, there is actually one thing I need your help with."

"Okay." Akame agreed immediately without thinking. She hated this kind of idle life.

"There's a drink I need you to help taste." Ren said seriously.

"Taste it? Fine." Akame agreed in the end. Although it wasn't the task she wanted, it was still fine.

"Let's head back first." After putting the documents on the table away, Ren looked at the two women and said.

The three of them started heading back, and Akame naturally wore a hat to cover her face.

"So that's the target the old man wants to deal with? He wants me to play the hero? What a joke. I don't need his plans—I'll surpass him anyway." Syura opened the inn's window and looked at the three walking away.

"Old man?" The woman lying on the bed looked puzzled.

"That's none of your business." Syura stared at Kurome walking away. Her married woman charm was even more attractive, making him unable to stop himself.

Thinking that Ren was weak in combat and that Kurome was such a beautiful wife, Syura came up with a fun idea.

The more he thought, the more his desire burned. He quickly returned to the bed and began indulging himself.

The woman's face showed pain, biting her teeth, silently enduring the man's violence.

Ren naturally noticed Syura's spying. Thinking about Syura's Teigu, Ren showed an eager expression. That Teigu was an essential tool for traveling.

Ren's villa.

"This is too sweet." Akame frowned but finished drinking the milk tea anyway.

"I'll adjust it some more." Ren began tweaking the proportions to remake it.

It wasn't until night that Ren heard Akame's satisfied response. To make a foodie happy, Ren felt this milk tea couldn't be bad, ending the milk tea making journey.

"Ren, Kurome."

"What is it?" Ren and Kurome both looked at Akame.

"What are you doing at night? Why has Kurome been calling you out so much?" Akame had wanted to ask for a while.

That voice, how should she describe it—it made her heart race and her whole body feel warm, but she didn't understand why.

Kurome's face instantly turned red. Having her sister hear something like this, it was like getting caught by her parents doing something awkward red handed—totally embarrassing.

Ren showed a mischievous smile and said, "We're just playing together. Want to join?"

Kurome quickly twisted Ren's waist, as if knowing this was his weak spot, and gave Akame a strange look. Normally, after all the times she tried to assassinate nobles, it was impossible that she hadn't encountered this before.

"Join you? Is that okay?"

"Of course not! This is about having children." Kurome felt it was better to face the embarrassment quickly.

"Ah, oh." Akame's cheeks flushed as she hurried back to her room.

"Alright then. I was wondering why you wanted to keep my sister here—turns out you're interested in her."

"I swear, this is the last one." Ren stubbornly refused to admit defeat.

"Hmph, but I don't want my sister to leave anymore." Kurome agreed; it was better to stay by Ren's side together.

"Looks like this world's thoughts are on my side," Ren secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

"You've got your eyes on my sister, so no talks tonight." Kurome raised her sword—she hadn't used this Teigu in a long time.

"Not tonight, it's too dangerous." Ren hadn't forgotten that Syura was watching him.

"Hm?" Kurome frowned, confused.

Ren briefly explained what had happened.

The two lay down to sleep without taking off their clothes, the blanket covering them, quietly waiting for what was to come.

In the early morning, Ren sensed someone approaching. He exchanged a glance with Kurome, who understood immediately. She hugged her sword and pretended to be asleep.

Not long after, a tall figure appeared in the room.

Seeing the two lying on the bed, especially Kurome's peaceful sleeping face, Syura couldn't help but sigh, "So beautiful. It would be so satisfying to torment her a little."

Ren was a bit angry. The other seemed to know he had no fighting power and planned to do something shady. At the same time, he felt a little lucky that his golden finger had already arrived.

"Heh, a useless weakling with no strength. Even if you have brains, you still can't escape death. But you're lucky—you'll die by assassination, so no torment for you. What a pity." Syura whispered to himself.

"So that's it. They want to kill me, then find scapegoats to cover it up, taking revenge indirectly to take over the Inspection Bureau?" Ren admitted. It was simple and brutal but effective.

"Let me enjoy this first, little beauty." Syura moved directly toward Kurome. Since Ren had no fighting power, Syura didn't bother tying him up, and he was quite excited in front of the man.

One meter... half a meter.

At that moment, Kurome moved. With incredible speed, she slashed off Syura's right arm. Meanwhile, Ren took the Teigu, Shambhala, and put it in his pocket.

"Ah!!" Syura screamed in unbearable pain. He was strong himself but still failed, which meant the opponents had prepared. But he didn't care—he was too hurt to think.

He now hated Kurome with a burning passion. She was just playing with him and had no idea about his hatred.

"Too noisy." Ren frowned.

Kurome cut off Syura's head, ending his life. This was the usual style of an assassin. Of course, after training with Ren, she had grown much stronger.

"Who is he?" Kurome finally asked.

"The son of the Prime minister," Ren explained. He was a bit angry. The killing didn't annoy him much, but the fact that Syura wanted to assault Kurome was unacceptable.

Looking at the corpse on the floor and the dead eyes filled with resentment, Ren muttered, "He got off easy."

"What about the minister's side?" Kurome knew how Ren had risen to power.

"Handle it normally. Leave everything to me. Besides, it won't be easy to take back the power they've given." Ren threw the corpse and the head out.

"Okay." Kurome already trusted Ren unconditionally. Even her sister was by her side now.

The next day.

"Lord Ren, the minister wants to see you," a man said as he entered Ren's residence.

"I'm not going. Tell them I was attacked at home yesterday and haven't recovered yet. I need rest," Ren waved his hand, dismissing the man immediately.

The man swallowed nervously. He couldn't offend either side, but he couldn't force Ren to go either. The man who was dismembered was a clear example.

"Do you need me to say it again?" Ren looked at the man with a cold, mocking smile.

"Yes." The man retreated quickly. He really dared not offend the minister and Ren, but he was unlucky to have this task.

"Are you sure it's okay not to go?" Chelsea felt a chill. She had no idea there was a thief in the house last night.

"Do you really think those two have a good father-son relationship?" Ren sneered. If he didn't go, the other side wouldn't do anything to him.

At that moment.

"Waah, waah, My son, Syura is dead," Honest cried loudly.

"You really cared about him."

"That stupid son is dead, just have another. Ren hasn't even returned back his authority yet. Useless. Waah, waah," Honest was upset about that one thing.

The beautiful woman lying on the bed trembled. The man was too cold-hearted.

"Good, then you give me another one," Honest's mood changed instantly.

The woman felt hopeless. If he treated their son that way, what hope was there for the child she bore? But she had no choice.
