Chapter 71 - The Limitations of the Room of Requirement

The day after he received the Ravenclaw legacy, Victor slept until well past noon.

For some reason, as he looked out at the bright sun, he felt exceptionally refreshed. He slowly got out of bed, and after a quick wash, his only thought was to go to the Great Hall to eat! But why wasn't there a single little eagle in the common room? Could they have stayed in the Bronze Tree Palace all night?!

With this question in mind, Victor decided to check the Bronze Tree Palace, but as soon as he pushed open the common room door, he was stunned by the sight before him.

"What in the world?!" Victor exclaimed as he looked outside the door. Was he just waking up, or did he open the wrong door?! Why were so many young wizards gathered outside the common room door, and why did they all look so expectant?

While Victor was still in a daze, a young wizard who heard the door open instinctively looked over. He saw that the person they had been waiting for all morning had finally appeared in the doorway and immediately shouted excitedly, "He's out! Victor Dreyar is out! The heir of Ravenclaw is out!"

Instantly, everyone's eyes turned to Victor, who was still in the doorway, and they let out a gasp of surprise.

"Ooooooh!!!!!"

Early that morning, Dumbledore had suddenly announced in the Great Hall that Victor Dreyar of Ravenclaw House had received the Ravenclaw legacy. Upon hearing this astonishing news, the young wizards of Hogwarts all excitedly wanted to get a closer look at and interview Victor, the heir of Ravenclaw.

So they all gathered one after another at the entrance to the Ravenclaw common room. They hadn't even packed their bags to go home and had been squatting there for a whole morning.

When Victor heard the wizards' frenzied shouts, he quickly came to his senses. He broke out in a cold sweat and wanted to close the door, but it was already too late. A few young wizards grabbed his hands and pulled him outside, and everyone else immediately surrounded him. "Dreyar, how did you get the Ravenclaw legacy?"

"Forget about how you got it, can you tell us what the Ravenclaw legacy is? A wand, a spell, or something else really powerful?"

"I heard you saw Rowena Ravenclaw yesterday. Was she very beautiful? And did she give you any clues about the other founders' legacies?"

The young wizards were like a flock of birds, chattering around Victor. He couldn't hear what they were saying at all. After a while, Victor, who was squeezed in the middle of the crowd, finally couldn't take it anymore. He felt like he was going to be flattened into a meat pie if he stayed there any longer. So, with a thought, he immediately used a teleportation spell to escape.

Hogwarts's Astronomy Tower.

A figure suddenly appeared out of thin air. Victor was lying on the stone platform, his face pale and his soul floating out of his mouth. He said slowly, still in a state of shock, "That… that was terrifying!"

It was clear that Victor had become the biggest celebrity at Hogwarts. He already had a large group of fans after Peeves had suddenly exposed his identity as the comic book author.

On Halloween, the horror game event and the troll invasion that Victor had masterminded showed all the young wizards his immense power.

The battle between Slytherin and Ravenclaw students in the school, where Victor settled the fight with a single spell, also captured the hearts of many young witches.

Now that he had received the Ravenclaw legacy, he had become the object of fervent adoration for all the students in the school. Even some Slytherin girls had been squatting at the door.

Victor, lying on the stone platform, thought back to the hearts that were constantly popping out of the little witches' eyes. He couldn't help but shiver, and he quickly took out a piece of chocolate and ate it to soothe his "fragile" soul.

In his current state, he couldn't go to the Bronze Tree Palace, and the Great Hall was completely out of the question. Why had he forgotten to leave some space anchors there when he left last night?!

Victor scratched his head in frustration. There was nothing he could do but send a message with a light spell, asking Kururu to bring him both breakfast and lunch… Not long after, his food was delivered. The house-elves were very efficient.

However, just as Victor was about to start eating, a familiar voice suddenly rang out.

"Victor, I knew you were here!"

Victor looked up and saw that Hermione was floating in mid-air not far in front of him. He raised his hand and waved with a big smile. "Oh, good morning, Hermione!" At the same time, he began to stuff a chicken leg into his mouth.

"Good morning? It's already noon!" Hermione rolled her eyes with an annoyed expression. "If I hadn't heard a commotion outside the Ravenclaw common room, I would have no idea where to find you!"

"Is there something you need me for?" Victor asked, his mouth full of food. "Also, today is the day we go home. Aren't you worried that your parents might be waiting anxiously for you at the station?"

"It's fine, I sent an owl home yesterday telling them not to pick me up at the station. Anyway, you're going to take me home!" Hermione said with a matter-of-fact expression.

"Whoa, I don't remember ever agreeing to that!"

"What did you say?!"

"Nothing…"

Victor shook his head, feeling that it was better not to tease the young witch anymore, or she would get angry again, and that would be a hassle. So he quickly finished his breakfast-slash-lunch, wiped his mouth, and then stood up. After stretching his arms and legs, he said to Hermione with a lazy expression, "Alright, let's go!"

"You know what I'm here for?"

"Duh, if you guys didn't come to me, I was going to look for you anyway!" Victor said, giving her a look. "Now that I've finally found you three free laborers, how could I possibly let you go?"

Hermione's face immediately puffed up in anger when she heard that. She retorted indignantly, "We're not free laborers, we're just serving our school punishment like we're supposed to!"

"Is there a difference?"

"…" Hermione was at a loss for words. But seeing Victor's extremely punchable face, she couldn't help but get angry. She raised her little leg, intending to kick him in the knee. But unfortunately, she didn't succeed. Instead, Victor held her head in place, and she just kicked at the air.

Meanwhile, in the Gryffindor common room, Harry and Ron were bored and playing Wizard's Chess.

"When is Hermione coming back?" Ron complained weakly. "It's been a whole morning. Where in the world did Dreyar go?!"

"I heard that the Ravenclaws are also gone, and no one can get any news about him. A lot of people are waiting outside the Ravenclaw common room, and a lot of girls want Dreyar's autograph." Harry's tone sounded a bit strange. Being a bit of a pretty boy himself, he couldn't help but feel a little jealous when he saw so many beautiful girls liking Victor.

Just as Harry and Ron were anxiously waiting for news of Victor's appearance, a strange magical fluctuation suddenly appeared in the Gryffindor common room. The two of them felt a sudden blur in their vision, and then the space beneath their bottoms disappeared, and they both fell to the floor.

"Ouch!!!" the two little lions cried out at the same time.

"What's happening?!" Ron lay on the floor, clutching his head and looking around in fear. He had just come face-to-face with Voldemort a few days ago, and he thought that something bad was happening to them again.

"This looks like the eighth floor of the school. We were here the day before yesterday!" Harry sat up and looked around, then noticed the stone gargoyle guarding the Headmaster's office not far away. "How did we suddenly get here?!"

"I brought you here!" a familiar voice entered their ears. Harry and Ron immediately looked over and saw Victor and Hermione standing not far away, looking at them. Behind the two of them was a door they had never seen before.

"It was you, Dreyar…" Harry slowly got up. He then realized that in his memory, Victor was probably the only person in all of Hogwarts who could have brought them from their common room to here without anyone knowing.

"Was there a door here before?" Harry walked over, rubbing his bottom. The Gryffindor common room was also on the eighth floor, just on the other side of the floor. Although he didn't often pass by here, he clearly remembered that there had definitely been nothing here before.

And Ron, who had also walked over, said, "That's right, I remember there was only a wall here. When did a door get here?"

"This is the Room of Requirement, and it's where you'll be serving your school punishment," Victor explained. "The entrance to the Room of Requirement only appears when the user concentrates on the room they need and walks past this wall three times."

"The Room of Requirement?" Hermione's face was filled with confusion when she heard the name. "Why is it called that?"

"It can fulfill your wishes as much as possible. For example, if you want a toilet, the Room of Requirement will become a toilet. And if you want an empty room, the Room of Requirement will also provide you with an empty room."

"So if I want a room full of Galleons, can it also give me that?!" Ron's face lit up with excitement when he heard about the ability of the Room of Requirement. He was already starting to fantasize about becoming a rich man.

But Victor quickly poured a bucket of cold water on him. He said with a disdainful tone, "You're thinking too much. Look at how pathetic you are!"

"The Room of Requirement isn't all-powerful. What it can give you are only rooms that actually exist within the confines of Hogwarts, and its authority isn't the highest either."

"Authority?" A question mark appeared above Hermione's head. "What do you mean?"

"For example, if you want to go to Dumbledore's office, the Room of Requirement can't grant your wish. Because no matter what, the Headmaster's office is the center of Hogwarts, and it is protected by powerful magic. So even if there were a secret passage in the school that led to the Headmaster's office, the Room of Requirement couldn't provide you with a door to get there."
