During Victor and Professor McGonagall's idle conversation, the Fiendfyre burning inside the Room of Requirement showed no signs of continuing to expand, indicating that all the old items had been completely burned to ashes.
So, Victor immediately cast Finite Incantatem to dissolve all the Fiendfyre in the room. To be honest, this spell was incredibly versatile; it could instantly turn all magic into raw magical particles floating in the air.
However, even though the Fiendfyre was completely extinguished, the Room of Requirement was still filled with thick smoke, and a strong smell of gunpowder wafted out.
Victor covered his nose and waved his wand. A gust of wind immediately gathered all the remaining ashes and smoke inside the Room of Requirement and piled them up by the door under Victor's control. He figured Filch or the house-elves would come and clean up this mess later.
After the Room of Requirement was finally cleaned, Professor McGonagall and Victor both walked inside. McGonagall curiously looked at the room, which was as big as a Quidditch pitch, and exclaimed in disbelief, "I never knew there was a place like this at Hogwarts."
"The Room of Requirement has an unknown number of rooms; it can fulfill a person's wish to the greatest extent," Victor said, looking around. "I heard that Professor Dumbledore has been using it as a lavatory, which is a bit of a waste of a good thing!"
"And you plan to set up your guild here?" Professor McGonagall asked.
"Professor Dumbledore told you about it!" Victor nodded. "Yes, this is the most suitable place in all of Hogwarts. It would be a waste not to use such a large space."
"Then, Mr. Dreyar, would you mind telling me about your idea?" For some reason, Professor McGonagall suddenly turned and looked at Victor with a serious expression. "Headmaster Dumbledore just told me that you wanted to establish a student organization, but he didn't explain the reason."
Victor noticed the deep sense of responsibility hidden in Professor McGonagall's eyes and knew that he still had to pass her test. Although Dumbledore was the headmaster of Hogwarts, it was Professor McGonagall who handled all the day-to-day affairs.
When Voldemort was a student, he had secretly recruited people at Hogwarts to gather followers and organize a group of fanatical students into the Knights of Walpurgis, which was the predecessor of the Death Eaters.
At the time, both Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall knew about this group but didn't intervene, because there were countless instances of students forming small groups. Didn't Harry's father also form the Marauders during his time at school?
Based on this lesson from history, Professor McGonagall was now very concerned about student organizations within the school, fearing that another organization similar to the Death Eaters would appear one day.
Of course, Victor also understood Professor McGonagall's concerns, so without another word, he waved his wand, and four different glowing animals appeared between them. Victor looked at the lion, the snake, the eagle, and the badger in front of him and asked, "Professor, what do you think of the current state of Hogwarts?"
"I think it's not bad…" Professor McGonagall replied. But Victor could clearly sense that she had hesitated before saying that.
"Professor, do you really think so?" Victor tapped his wand twice in the air in front of him, and the animals representing the four Hogwarts Houses walked in four different directions, standing opposite each other. Then, four small wizards split off from them, each pointing their wands at the other.
"Gryffindors have courage beyond the ordinary, but they are mischievous."
"Slytherins are exceptionally united, but they are ambitious."
"Ravenclaws are forever dedicated to the pursuit of supreme wisdom, but they keep to themselves."
"Hufflepuffs are kind, loyal, tenacious, and accepting, but they are mundane and gluttonous."
"Professor McGonagall, ever since I arrived at Hogwarts, I have seen a constant rivalry between the Houses and between students everywhere in the school. This rivalry is inadvertently amplifying the negative aspects of these four Houses' students' personalities. Gryffindors like to call others cowards. Slytherins like to call others filthy Mudbloods. Ravenclaws like to call others imbeciles. Hufflepuffs like to call others hypocrites."
Victor paused here, then waved his wand again, dispelling the glowing animals, and a thick black mist appeared in their place.
"Professor, Hogwarts is a wonderful place, but you and Professor Dumbledore haven't been seeing a lot of what's happening in the shadows! For example, why are Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy so hostile toward each other? Is it just because Harry rejected him on the first day of school, or is it because of Malfoy's arrogant attitude? You might think this is just childish bickering, but you don't realize that this age is when seeds can be easily planted. From age eleven to eighteen, if the seeds of hatred continue to grow, Professor, how long do you think it will be before another Dark Lord emerges from Hogwarts?"
"..." As Victor's words fell, Professor McGonagall's eyebrows drooped, and a difficult-to-dispel sadness appeared on her face. She found that she had no rebuttal to Victor's words.
She had lost count of how many times she had called others a coward in the past. And judging from both Voldemort and the scuffle between the snakes and eagles today, it was clear that Victor was not wrong.
Hogwarts now seemed to be a petri dish for hatred, and she just hadn't realized it.
"So, you want to change Hogwarts by establishing an organization?" Professor McGonagall asked after sorting out the complex emotions in her heart.
"That's only one reason," Victor replied truthfully. "Professor, the way Hogwarts is now isn't something I can change just by establishing a guild. Both you and Professor Dumbledore must take the initiative to do something…"
A while later, Professor McGonagall left the Room of Requirement. She turned back to the headmaster's office. Victor's words had deeply touched her, so she wanted to have a serious talk with Dumbledore about reforming Hogwarts.
As Victor watched Professor McGonagall disappear behind the stone gargoyle, he laughed to himself, "You old coot, you have to agree this time, whether you want to or not!"
After his moment of private joy, Victor turned and looked at the empty Room of Requirement, then began the preparations for building his guild.
During the last mission to the Forbidden Forest on Christmas Eve, Victor had exchanged the materials he obtained for about 50,000 Galleons at Diagon Alley, minus the barrel of Aragog venom he gave to Snape.
He then used this money to buy a lot of equipment, such as several common magical potions, various magic books, anti-magic training dummies for practicing spells, and other miscellaneous alchemical tools for magical training.
He also went to a supermarket and bought a lot of sofas, tables, chairs, cabinets, beds, bedding, gym equipment, kitchen facilities, and more.
He planned to divide the entire guild base into eight areas: a study area, a combat training area, a library, a construction room, an infirmary, a common room, a kitchen, and a supply storage area.
Victor first simply divided the room into the eight areas he had envisioned. Then, he took out all the items he had bought from his pocket dimension and spent half an hour sorting them and placing all the facilities in their corresponding areas.
But after he was done, Victor frowned, because he felt that the guild base looked very awkward. The eight initially divided areas were all empty at a glance, and there was no material separating them, which made the entire base look a little strange.
So Victor thought for a moment, then used magic to instantly apparate to the Forbidden Forest.
A short time later, some of the young wizards at Hogwarts suddenly saw a few huge black shadows emerge from the direction of the Forbidden Forest, only to suddenly disappear in the blink of an eye. This left the wizards dumbfounded, making them wonder if they were dreaming.
In the Room of Requirement, Victor used the Crush spell to cut the giant rocks he had dug up from the Forbidden Forest into individual floor tiles. Then, after polishing them, he used them to re-pave the entire floor of the guild base.
Under Victor's deliberate arrangement, the beautiful white tiles divided the Room of Requirement into eight beautifully laid-out areas, separated by flowerbeds and pathways, with a small garden that could be used to raise magical creatures.
After he had a basic layout of the guild base's interior, Victor hung up a sign that read "FAIRY TAIL" outside the Room of Requirement.
Next, he planned to get some more wood from the Forbidden Forest to build houses and furnish them.
At the very least, this would be the beginning of the guild.
