MHGA Chapter 301: The Military Uniform Princess and the Dalamadur
The official Self-Defense Forces and security personnel continued to discover massive waves of stories being uploaded online over the next several days.
Though they tracked IP addresses and responded immediately, they failed every time to locate the source.
These recurring incidents convinced Meteora and her team that this was a premeditated campaign targeting the laws of Acceptance. What troubled them most… was that they still had no idea what the enemy's true goal was.
"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Demon Slayer, KonoSuba, Cardcaptor Sakura, Fate/stay night, etc…" Aki Kikuchihara massaged her temples in frustration, staring at the flood of new stories that had hit the internet.
Although she wasn't deeply familiar with the industry, online reactions made it clear—these works had triggered a massive boom. As stories, they generated overwhelming discussion and buzz.
"Our plans need to accelerate," Meteora added, visibly worried. "These works are far too well-received. Their rate of Acceptance accumulation is alarmingly fast… If they're long-running series, it's likely characters from them have already manifested in reality."
"Do you think the person uploading them doesn't know that?" Aki adjusted her glasses doubtfully. "If their goal is to leverage Acceptance, they must have a way to realize it."
"Even so… we remain passive observers." Meteora looked pensive. "We can only hope they're not aligned with the Military Uniform Princess."
Together, Meteora and Aki Kikuchihara gazed anxiously at the large monitor in front of them. It displayed the trending forums and social media feeds—posts were flooding in at a rapid pace.
But what they didn't know… was that beneath the veil of the internet, someone with simmering rage was preparing to fulfill a despicable ambition.
At a homeless encampment beneath an overpass, four Hunters huddled inside a cardboard box fortress beside two laptops.
Kazuma handled concealment. Joseph managed intelligence. Laios handled field scouting. And Kairo Retsu—officially the Guildmaster—was tagging along under the guise of slacking off.
But right now, Kazuma was fuming at what he saw on the screen.
"LET ME GO!!"
Pinned down by Joseph and Kairo, Kazuma struggled violently, shouting with rage toward the keyboard. "These bastards… These bastards! They're cyberbullying me!! Let me type! I'm flaming them back!!"
On the screen, an online thread was discussing how utterly incomprehensible Satou Kazuma's character was…
"Relax, relax. There's always some toxic trash on the internet," Kairo mumbled while holding Kazuma down.
Then, Kairo turned to Joseph. "Joestar, you found anything through the network?"
"Nothing specific, but…"
Joseph's Stand, Hermit Purple, was now plugged into the second computer's CPU. With a ripple of Stand power, distorted images flickered across the screen, gradually forming a shadowy outline.
"I got a few visuals from my Spirit Photo readings."
With Joseph's ability, a partial image of Dalamadur's massive body appeared on-screen—clear proof that the Elder Dragon was currently in this world.
"Your Hermit Purple's amazing for recon work," Kairo praised, leaning closer. "Can you try for a clearer picture? This much isn't enough to pinpoint its location."
"No problem." Joseph gave a thumbs-up and activated his Stand again. The monitor slowly shifted as more data poured in.
"I still find it strange," Laios said, brow furrowed as he stared at the screen. "According to the Guildmaster, he found tons of Dalamadur sightings online. And this world's internet should be highly developed…"
"So why has Dalamadur managed to stay hidden here for so long?" Laios scratched his head. "A creature that constantly sheds scale dust should've been detected by humans by now."
"But judging by the online chatter… it seems even this world's people haven't found Dalamadur's exact location." He sounded confused.
Joseph's spirit images became clearer. They now showed Dalamadur in the middle of a deserted, crumbling urban wasteland—shrouded in a gray haze, surrounded by abandoned buildings.
"I have a theory," Kairo finally said after a pause, answering Laios's question. "I actually checked with local hospitals. There have been patients affected by Frenzy Virus—but only mildly."
"There's one detail that stood out: those infected were located far away from where Dalamadur was spotted."
"I cross-referenced every available sighting and infection pattern… and realized they didn't align at all. That's very strange. As for why Dalamadur hasn't been fully discovered in this world…" Kairo licked his dry lips.
"There's only one person here capable of pulling that off."
"…Altair. The Military Uniform Princess."
"And I have a way to prove it," Kairo added, turning to Joseph. "Joestar, use Hermit Purple to read Altair."
"Got it." Without hesitation, Joseph stopped tracking Dalamadur and shifted his Stand's focus.
In moments, Altair appeared on the screen—her signature military uniform unmistakable. Behind her stood the same dilapidated ruins that had appeared in Dalamadur's background just moments ago.
"Now you get it?" Kairo grinned. "The reason Dalamadur's managed to hide in a world with such a developed internet… is because the Military Uniform Princess shielded it. I still don't know why she'd do that, but… I bet she's also behind the abnormal spread of the Frenzy Virus."
"I see!" Laios's eyes lit up, though a trace of doubt remained. "So it was Altair manipulating part of Dalamadur's ecosystem… That explains the anomalies. But some things still don't quite add up…"
"We'll keep investigating. But first…" Kairo paused, suddenly alert. "I think… we've been spotted."
On the screen, Altair, who had previously been gazing off elsewhere, now turned—staring directly at the camera. It was as if she were looking straight through the screen at the Hunters beyond.
"So… an unknown third party after all?" she murmured. "Will you be my enemies as well?"
Her gaze narrowed.
"Judging by the characters appearing from those anomalously uploaded stories… It's you, isn't it—Joseph Joestar?"
