According to what I found on the wiki, it helps Akaza adapt to his opponent's strength and grows stronger as the battle progresses. Plus, he can sense everything in a certain radius, which will increase as he refines his quirk further. It also gives him the ability to sense battle spirit.
Destructive Death: Compass wave
He has not used this because this is more of a passive variation of Destructive Death: Compass Needle. In the manga, Akaza could only sense people through their battle spirit, but if you could hide it, he would not be able to sense them. To remove this issue, Akaza added shockwaves to it. Which now works as a sonar passively.
Destructive Death: Air type
He launches shock waves. That's all.
Destructive Death: Disorder
He launches many shockwave-infused punches, which form a barrier.
Destructive Death: Annihilation Type
He gathers a huge amount of shockwaves in both of his hands and launches them.(One of his strongest moves)
Ten Thousand Leaves Flashing Willow:
Infuses a punch with a huge amount of shockwaves and punches the ground. A solid AOE move.
Final Form: Blue Silver Chaotic Afterglow:
He merges his abilities together for this one. It's kind of hard to explain, so I will copy and paste the wiki over here:-
