She stopped laughing. "There will be consequences for his actions...there are always consequences."
Her expression hardened. "But until destiny catches him...our revenge cannot wait any longer."
Without another word she disappeared into a smaller chamber branching off from the main cavern.
Shelves filled every wall from floor to ceiling, some held dusty scrolls, others contained sealed crystal bottles. Some relics rested beneath layers of enchanted cloth to hide what it really contains.
Nehum searched methodically. She opened wooden boxes, moved brittle manuscripts aside and examined countless forgotten treasures accumulated over centuries.
Behind her, Ghorrik climbed effortlessly across the ceiling before lowering himself beside the entrance.
"What... are yo...u loo...king for?"
Without looking at him, Nehum answered, "I am searching for something I hid here many decades ago."
