Ghorrik remained perched upon the jagged stone, his oversized yellow eyes never leaving Nehum. The creature's claws scraped softly against the rock as his long tail curled around the edge like that of some ancient beast.

The question lingered in the candlelit chamber. For several moments, Nehum did not answer.
Instead, she slowly walked toward one of the ancient shelves lining the cavern wall, absentmindedly brushing her fingers over dusty tomes and sealed jars whose contents had long since been forgotten by the world above.
Finally, she spoke. "We adapt and we change our plan." Her voice carried neither hesitation nor frustration now...only resolve.
