I scrolled through the glowing screen in front of me, reading each description carefully.

"Finally… some skills!" I couldn't help but grin, my eyes shining with excitement. "So I have Fire Magic and Wind Magic already? This is so cool!"

The thought of flames bursting from my spear and powerful gusts of wind pushing back enemies filled me with excitement. It felt just like unlocking new abilities in my favorite computer game.

With these powers, battles wouldn't just be about swinging a weapon anymore — I could actually control the elements themselves.

I clenched my fists, eager to try them out as soon as possible.

"Woof, this is long…" I muttered as I read through the new System Update that had popped up in front of me. The glowing screen stretched on and on, filled with rows of text.

Not only that, but many new icons suddenly appeared near my Player Status window, each one shining and waiting for me to tap on it. There were so many that it almost felt overwhelming.

I tried to focus, carefully reading the descriptions one by one. Skills, Inventory, Stats, Weapons, Map, Friends, Guild… it was like a whole menu from a computer game had been dropped into my face.

When I finally reached the end of the list, I leaned back and blinked. Something felt… off.

"Wait… hold on." I frowned, looking back at the screen. "Where's the Settings button? Or even a Quit button?"

I tapped around a little, but nothing changed. The menus didn't close, and there wasn't any little 'X' in the corner like normal games had.

"Don't tell me… am I stuck here?" I whispered, a shiver running down my spine.

A screen suddenly popped up in front of me.

[Martial Arts Learned!]

"Ehh? Martial Arts?" I muttered, blinking at the screen in confusion. I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to feel excited or overwhelmed.

Curious, I decided to test it out. I tried a backflip, twisting my body in midair. I landed perfectly on my feet—I didn't stumble or fall once. Wow… this was actually working! I didn't know anything about Martial Arts before, but now it felt like my body just knew what to do.

But as cool as this was, it didn't solve my biggest problem—I still had no idea how to quit this game.

"Okay… focus," I whispered to myself. "Martial arts or not, I've got to figure out how to get out of here."

[Teleporting to the Grand Arena in Bestia Kingdom]

"What the heck is going on?" I muttered, blinking as a sudden flash of light covered my body. The next thing I knew, I was standing in the middle of a huge arena.

I looked around. The arena was packed—not with players, but with NPCs wearing ordinary clothes. They were cheering, clapping, and waving their hands like they were watching some grand spectacle. The sound of excitement echoed everywhere.

Then my eyes fell on three other people standing in the arena as well. They didn't look familiar to me—focused, ready, and somehow prepared for what was coming.

Suddenly, a giant screen appeared at the center of the arena. The cheering quieted, and a man materialized on the screen, dressed in a black suit. He looked serious, but there was a spark of excitement in his eyes.

"Hello, to all Beast Masters out there. I know you can see this screen from your location. I am Dr. Merlin. I am the Game Developer, and I created this world," the man began, his voice booming across the arena.

Before he could continue, a young man holding a laptop popped into view beside him. "We've got five million views, sir! Live!" he exclaimed.

Dr. Merlin held up a hand, silencing him with a sharp look. Then he turned back to the audience and the arena floor.

"I will explain everything in time," he continued. "But first, the four people in the arena will participate in a Challenge. If you take part in it, I will explain how you can get out of this game."

My heart skipped a beat. A challenge? Right away?

"Prepare yourselves! The Challenge will be a two-versus-two match!" Dr. Merlin's voice echoed across the arena.

I swallowed hard, trying to calm myself. My gaze darted around the arena again. This was huge. If participating in this challenge could help me figure out how to leave this game… then I had no choice but to take it seriously.

"Now listen carefully!" the man continued, his voice carrying across the entire arena. "The rules of this Challenge are simple. At the center of the battlefield, a green flag will appear. Your mission is to seize it… and capture it."

I turned my gaze toward the center of the arena. Sure enough, a green flag suddenly sprouted from the ground as if planted by the system.

"The team that captures the flag and returns to their marked line on the field will be declared the winner," Dr. Merlin explained, pacing slightly as he spoke. His voice was calm but carried a serious edge, making it clear that this was no ordinary game.

"Use whatever techniques and strategies you can," Dr. Merlin continued, raising his hands for emphasis. "Grab the flag by any means necessary. Combine your skills and abilities with the person you've been paired with. There are no restrictions, and no time limit!"

The crowd erupted into a deafening roar. Feet stomped, hands clapped, and voices cheered so loudly. Even though they were all NPCs, I couldn't help but feel the energy was real. Technology really has evolved…

"This match is not just about power," Dr. Merlin added, leaning forward in his chair on the huge screen with a sly smile. "It is a test of strategy, skill, and teamwork. Simple, right? Think of it like a race. The first team to grab the flag and step back over their line with it… wins."

I had just learned a few skills earlier. Could I really combine them with a partner? Would we even survive this?

"I will now be calling out the two teams who will face each other," Dr. Merlin said, flipping through a list in his hands. "Team 1 will be Dahlia Flamel and Malachi Paisley. You will be fighting against Team 2, which is Clifton Badger and Raven Harkness. Please step forward and prepare for battle!"

As the names echoed through the arena, my teammate and I moved toward the center. I could feel the tension rising.
