Chapter 39 - 39: Eula the Ultra Lucky—Three Blue-Eyes White Dragons!

"Welcome. Are you three here to read manga?"

Han Feng looked up in slight surprise.

It was the first time strangers—not regulars or acquaintances—had come in off the street.

Ordinary Mondstadt citizens, huh?

"Boss, is it true you've got Digimon manga here?"

"That bard in the square said people get rewards after reading… is that actually true?!"

"If it is, can I get an Agumon?"

The three of them swarmed around Han Feng, visibly thrilled.

So it really was Venti's doing. That guy's promotions are surprisingly effective.

Han Feng's eyes showed a flicker of understanding.

Lisa had told him about this earlier.

And now here they were—new customers.

That was a very good sign.

"The manga are on the shelves," Han Feng said calmly.

"100,000 Mora per person. One read per day."

"Deal!"

The trio didn't hesitate—each pulled out 100,000 Mora without blinking.

Anyone bold enough to come here already expected to pay.

They eagerly headed for the bookshelf.

There were three volumes currently on display:

"Digimon Adventure (Season 1)"

"One Piece – East Blue Arc"

"Yu-Gi-Oh!"

"No way, there really is Digimon!"

One of the taller customers lit up instantly.

He hadn't cared much about the rewards—

He just wanted to follow the story.

"I'm calling dibs on this one!"

Without hesitation, he grabbed the Digimon manga and settled onto the sofa.

The other two exchanged a glance and picked one each.

Soon, the manga shop was filled with shouts of surprise and excitement:

"Whoa, so many pictures! So this is what manga looks like?! It's way more fun than reading a novel!"

"Wait… the eighth child was Taichi's little sister all along?! Why didn't I see that coming?!"

"These Devil Fruit powers are crazy! They're basically on par with Visions!"

The shop's atmosphere turned warm and lively, echoing with wonder and amazement.

More and more people were starting to realize—

This wasn't just reading manga.

This was entering a new world.

Clearly, the new customers had been completely stunned by the manga.

Meanwhile, at the Lawrence Estate—

In one of the rooms, Eula was writing a letter to Yanfei.

As one of her few close friends, Eula naturally wanted to share something this exciting with her.

A shop as magical as Solace Book House—

It would be a pity if Yanfei didn't witness it for herself.

"All done."

After putting down her pen and double-checking the contents, Eula sealed the envelope.

She planned to ask someone to send it out later.

Since she wasn't on duty today, she had some free time.

Normally, Eula would spend this time training in swordsmanship,

or go for a walk with Amber to relax.

Those were her few hobbies.

But now things were different.

Her eyes drifted toward the Duel Disk sitting nearby,

and a smile unconsciously tugged at her lips.

This was the reward she'd received earlier today—

A device that let her summon all kinds of monsters from the manga.

Although she was the only one who had it so far and couldn't duel anyone yet,

Eula still adored it.

"Right, I haven't even checked which cards are in the deck yet."

That thought suddenly hit her.

The boss had said it was a random set of 40 cards.

So far, she only knew of two:

Dark Magician Girl and Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

That got her excited again.

She wanted to see if there were other interesting cards inside.

Like, perhaps... the full set of Exodia the Forbidden One:

Right Leg

Left Leg

Right Arm

Left Arm

And the head: Exodia the Forbidden One

She vividly remembered that classic scene:

When Yugi was cornered by Seto Kaiba and his three Blue-Eyes White Dragons,

he miraculously drew the complete Exodia combo—

And obliterated all three dragons in one turn!

It was legendary.

"This one's Dark Magician Girl... this one's Monster Reborn... and this one's... Polymerization?"

Eula began flipping through her deck, examining each card with care,

treating them like priceless treasures.

And when she finally reached the last few cards—her eyes widened in surprise.

There were not one, not two—

But three Blue-Eyes White Dragons in her deck!

"Seriously?! I am Seto Kaiba!"

She couldn't help laughing in disbelief at the three majestic cards spread out on her table.

If Han Feng were here, he'd definitely have made a joke:

"A single Blue-Eyes is worth 87 million. Three? That's nearly 250 million."

And she had gotten them for just 100,000 Mora.

Talk about profit!

"Wait, didn't Kaiba fuse the three dragons in the manga too?"

Eula vaguely remembered such a scene.

"Should I try summoning that fusion form myself?"

She looked at the three stunning dragon cards,

and a spark of excitement ignited in her chest.

The last time she summoned just one Blue-Eyes, it had already looked incredible.

If she could summon all three fused into one...

Just imagining that scene made her heart race.

Apart from sword practice,

this was the first time Eula had ever felt so invested in something else.

"I'll try it right now!"

Decision made, Eula grabbed her Duel Disk and deck and headed outside with excitement.
