Amber rolled her eyes at Barbara and Eula.
These two traitors.
"I'm heading outside the city. Wanna come with me?"
Now that she had her new flying tool, of course she had to test it properly.
So Amber decided to fly out past the city gates.
"Nah, I'm heading straight home."
Eula thought for a moment and shook her head.
After receiving her reward, she was feeling super excited.
She couldn't wait to write to her best friend and share the news.
"Then let me give you a ride—wanna try flying on the magic wand?"
Amber invited her warmly.
"Sure!"
Eula nodded.
Even though the activation ritual was embarrassing, the wand itself looked pretty legit.
"Boss, Lisa, Barbara—we're heading off now!"
After saying their goodbyes, Amber and Eula climbed aboard the wand and soared into the sky.
Lisa and the others returned to the manga shop.
Some continued reading, others sipped tea.
It was a laid-back, peaceful vibe.
"Oh right, there are two manga available now. Feel free to choose whichever."
Han Feng turned to the three Fatui agents sitting quietly in the corner, including The Lady.
"Thank you, Boss!"
The Lady responded quickly.
But in her heart, she had already made a plan.
According to Han Feng's rules, each customer could only read one manga per day.
So the choice of which one to read first was extremely important.
If she picked something too ordinary and got a mediocre reward, that would be a wasted opportunity.
So far, she only had information on two manga:
Yu-Gi-Oh! and Cardcaptor Sakura.
The first could summon awe-inspiring beasts like the Blue-Eyes White Dragon—
Though they had no combat power and were just for show.
The second, judging by that girl's earlier performance, seemed to be magic-related.
"Hmm… it might be a little embarrassing, but at least it's useful.
Even if I don't use it myself, I could always have someone else do it."
She made a mental note.
The right choice today could determine a whole new strategy for the Fatui...
The Lady quietly calculated in her mind.
Then, she turned to two Fatui agents beside her—Luke and the newly arrived Darial—and issued her command:
"You two, go read Cardcaptor Sakura."
"Yes, ma'am!"
The two nodded eagerly and rushed over.
They had seen Amber's earlier transformation too.
Sure, the lines were a bit cringe, but if it came with power, they could swallow any amount of embarrassment.
Besides, they wore masks—who would recognize them?
Before long, the manga shop was filled with two overly enthusiastic voices:
"Hehe, Sakura is so cute!"
"Right? Super adorable. But I still prefer Tomoyo—so gentle and kind, and rich too!"
"Tsk, shallow. Why not have both?"
"Hisss—you're a man of taste!"
Their voices grew louder and louder, enough that even Lisa and Barbara were visibly affected.
The two women shot them sharp glances, the kind that carried... implications.
If it weren't for the shop's no-fighting policy, those two would've been electrocuted into next week already.
Seriously, a bolt of lightning would do wonders for shutting them up.
The Lady, of course, had no such reservations.
"You two idiots—shut up!"
Her harsh voice silenced the room.
Luke and Darial instantly froze, realizing the boss was pissed.
They shut their mouths but still exchanged knowing glances now and then—clearly still geeking out in secret.
Han Feng didn't bother intervening.
As long as they didn't go too far, he wouldn't care.
After all, lively discussion was part of the manga experience.
Just don't get annoying.
The shop quieted once again.
Half an hour later, an overly theatrical voice echoed through the store:
"Her Highness declares—from this day forth, the Evil Eye of the Dark Lord is supreme!"
Fischl leapt up from the couch, full of fighting spirit.
Her earlier instincts had been spot on—
Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions! was truly a manga destined for her!
Especially that girl Rikka Takanashi—Fischl felt an instant soul connection.
She desperately wanted to swear sisterhood on the spot.
How could someone be so much like her?!
"Could she be my long-lost kin, separated by the rift of spacetime and stranded in another world... from the Pure Night Realm?"
A wild theory popped into Fischl's mind.
If Han Feng were to hear that, he'd probably nod in amusement—
After all, Fischl's Japanese voice actress was the same one as Rikka's.
So in a way... yeah, they were practically family.
Just then, the system refreshed.
Han Feng perked up.
He was genuinely curious—what kind of reward would Fischl receive after finishing Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!?
"Heh... Evil Eye chants or the Dark Lord's Eye itself?"
