Chapter 7 - 7: Azure Dragon vs. Stormterror

In the original story, Lumine had been caught in a whirlwind and lifted into the sky.

Only through the Anemo Archon's secret assistance had she managed to repel Stormterror.

But now?

She didn't need that help.

With the Wind-Wind Fruit's power, she was more than capable of fighting on her own.

As soon as she entered the sky, Stormterror locked onto her.

In its increasingly unstable state of mind, it instantly marked Lumine as a threat and lunged.

Its attacks were fierce—but none of them landed.

Stormterror's massive eyes glinted with confusion.

Lumine had vanished into thin air… no—

She had become the wind itself, splitting into countless wisps and reforming a distance away, smiling calmly.

This transformation ability is insane.

"Huh?"

From a hidden vantage point, Venti let out a surprised gasp.

He had been watching Stormterror closely from the shadows, ready to intervene.

But when he saw Lumine being attacked, he'd been about to act—

Only to see her effortlessly disperse into wind.

That… definitely wasn't an ordinary elemental power.

"Whoa! Lumine's starting out with a bang!"

Paimon hovered a safe distance away, camera rolling, utterly thrilled.

This was exactly the kind of epic footage she wanted.

"My turn."

Instead of drawing her sword, Lumine gathered her strength—channeling wind energy with both hands.

In an instant, the air began to surge violently around her.

The clouds overhead were shredded as a roaring storm converged.

With her power, Lumine shaped the gusts into a massive Azure Wind Dragon, hundreds of meters long—

even larger than Stormterror itself.

And just for fun, she had it take on the exact same appearance as Stormterror.

Now, two near-identical dragons hovered in the sky, glaring at each other.

One left, one right.

This unbelievable sight stunned every fleeing citizen, freezing them in place.

"What's that?! Why are there two dragons in the sky?!"

"They look exactly the same!"

"I think the one on the right… was summoned by that girl!"

"What in the world is going on out there?"

Jean muttered, visibly shaken by what she saw.

Stormterror's sudden assault had thrown the city into crisis—

But now, things had taken an even stranger turn.

"Seems like the Traveler summoned that second dragon,"

Lisa observed calmly, pushing up her glasses.

"We'll ask her all about it once this is over."

Jean nodded slowly, still in awe.

In the sky.

Stormterror: "(⊙_⊙)"

Confusion flickered in its massive eyes.

Where did this other dragon come from?

It looked just like itself—except it was bigger.

"What in the...?"

Venti's eyes widened with shock as he gazed at the enormous dragon formed from wind.

As the Anemo Archon, he could clearly sense the terrifying power infused within that creature.

This was no bluff, no illusion. That dragon was real, born of pure wind, and it was dangerous.

"Who is this traveler…? To have such absolute control over the wind…"

His gaze fell on Lumine, still hovering in the distance, calm and composed.

Not only could she fly freely and turn her body into wind, now she could even summon an enormous elemental dragon.

Even Venti—Barbatos—felt a little shaken.

"Oho! Two dragons are squaring off now! But Lumine's is clearly stronger!"

Paimon shouted in awe as she floated nearby, camera at the ready.

Even though Han Feng had explained how powerful the Wind-Wind Fruit was—and even though she'd seen some of it already—this?

This was on a whole other level.

It was one thing to hear about power.

It was another to see a massive dragon made of wind rip through the sky.

Still, Paimon quickly focused, centering her shot.

She had to get this on film. This was pure gold for her Traveler's Logbook!

"Fighting yourself must be fun. Alright—go!"

Lumine's voice was light, even playful, as she drew her sword and pointed forward.

"ROAR—!!"

The Azure Wind Dragon let out a thunderous roar, shaking all of Mondstadt to its foundations.

Stormterror, refusing to back down, bellowed in return.

In the next instant, the two dragons collided with earth-shattering force.

BOOM!

A deafening explosion erupted as the sky itself was torn apart.

The clouds were obliterated, revealing the brilliant blue sky beyond.

When the dust settled—

The massive wind dragon began to fade.

Stormterror, battered and stunned, shrieked before fleeing into the horizon.

Though once one of the Four Winds, Stormterror was no longer in full control of itself.

And Lumine—though powerful now—had only just acquired her new abilities.

To drive off the dragon in a single clash?

That was already impressive beyond belief.

Just like that, the crisis came as quickly as it had gone.

The winds calmed. The dark clouds dissipated.

Lumine and Paimon gently floated back to the ground.

"Hehe! That was some amazing footage! For the first episode of Traveler's Logbook... hmm… I'll call it How to Train Your Dragon!"

Paimon giggled to herself while scrolling through the camera's footage.

"How to what?"

Lumine looked at her curiously.

She'd heard Han Feng briefly mention the camera's function—it was kind of like a memory recording device.

But she hadn't seen it in action yet.

"It's super fun! I'll show you later~"

Paimon grinned mysteriously.

She couldn't wait to show Lumine the footage of her fighting a dragon. That reaction would be priceless.
