Yuan Longxuan nodded. "There exists a kind of Soul Ring granted by the divine. Only those who inherit from gods can access them.

These rings are tailored to the Soul Master, shaping abilities and lifespan according to one's constitution and willpower. With sufficient strength, even a hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring is possible."

The young men exchanged astonished glances. The world of Soul Masters was about to be turned upside down.

A Divine Soul Ring! Only those who inherit from the gods can touch such a thing!"

The words left Yuan Longxuan's lips, and the room went silent. Even Gu Rong's breaths quickened.

Divine… this was a phenomenon unseen on the continent for a thousand years.

Fifteen thousand years ago, Poseidon, the Sea God, waged a war lasting over a millennium and conquered the oceans entirely, ascending to godhood through the power of faith.

Ten thousand years ago, a kind-hearted girl wielding a sacred sword defeated all evil and disease, wiping out the wicked Soul Masters of her era.

She founded the Martial Soul Hall, an institution dedicated to eradicating evil Soul Masters, and through humanity's faith alone, she broke past level ninety-nine, reaching a hundred in soul power and ascending to godhood.

Since then, the continent knew of only two kinds of godly martial souls....or divine-bestowed Soul Rings: one of the Sea God, the other of the Six-Winged Angel.

But in the modern era, since the Angel God's ascension, no divine being had appeared. History of the gods gradually faded into myth.

"So… such a divine artifact… could it belong to Brother Yuan Longxuan?" Ning Fengzhi's breathing became heavier. A thing marked as 'divine' was never simple.

"Yes. I acquired a few from ancient ruins, and I happen to have one on hand."

With that, Yuan Longxuan revealed a blood-red orb, glowing faintly with a contained divine power.

This was a Divine Soul Ring containing the might of the Asura God.....but a 100% system-made replica. Not even the real Asura God could sense it.

Generous as always, Yuan Longxuan placed the orb on the table for all to see.

Ning Fengzhi immediately brought out his Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Tower, beginning an assessment.

Yuan Longxuan watched the little tower glow and shimmer, impressed. This martial soul was indeed skilled at appraisal.

"This… is the Divine Soul Ring?"

Ning Fengzhi, Gu Rong, and Chen Xin leaned closer, eyes wide with curiosity.

"Yes. Normally, the orb cannot be damaged. Only when absorbing the Soul Ring does the seal release.

Both Great Soul Masters and Douluos can absorb it. Its lower limit is low, but the upper limit is extremely high.

If your constitution allows, the lifespan of this Soul Ring could be extended to 990,000 years."

Silence fell over the room again. Nine hundred ninety thousand years!

"Chen Xin, this Divine Soul Ring is yours. It suits your sword path perfectly....focused on combat, precision, and slaughter. You are the most suitable master for this ring."

Chen Xin hesitated. "Brother Yuan Longxuan, I…"

But Yuan Longxuan didn't wait for refusal. With a flick, the orb flew into Chen Xin's hands.

"Take it. Life is short....how many fifty-year spans does one truly have? For one Divine Soul Ring, you help me run my shop for fifty years. In the end, the one losing out is you, not me."

Time was a strange concept here on Douluo Continent. Fifty years might be an entire lifetime on Earth.

Yuan Longxuan thought of Shakespeare's words: life is short; enjoy it while you can. Past and future be damned....this life is all that matters.

"Of course, I won't interfere with your own affairs. Just help me at the shop. The rest is none of my concern."

For Ning Fengzhi, bringing Chen Xin on board to help at the tavern did not conflict with his own ambitions.

Even if Ning Fengzhi dreamed of making the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect the strongest sect on the continent, that was impossible.

Support-type sects could never surpass the leading combat sects; neither the Martial Soul Hall nor the Haotian Sect would allow it.

At most, Chen Xin's combat power would rise two to three times. The rest of the world would remain unchanged.

Hearing Yuan Longxuan's plan, Ning Fengzhi's eyes gleamed. Clever… this young man was indeed clever.

"Boss! The dishes you requested are ready!"

Xiao Li arrived with two servers, carrying trays brimming with enticing aromas...bear paws, tender Earth Dragon tendons, and other millennia-grade ingredients.

Yuan Longxuan had deliberately avoided dealing with ten-thousand-year-level materials.....they were too troublesome to process.

Behind Xiao Li stood Liu Erlong, freshly joined as a server at the Juxiang Pavilion. She lowered her head, avoiding eye contact with Yuan Longxuan.

"All of it goes on the table," Yuan Longxuan said casually, turning his attention toward Liu Erlong.

"Young grown-up, what a coincidence! We meet again," she said, her voice timid.

Yuan Longxuan smirked, amused at the little girl's reaction.

Ning Fengzhi and Chen Xin also noticed Liu Erlong, now dressed in the pavilion uniform.

"Ah, um… what a coincidence indeed," she stammered, cheeks flushed.

Xiao Li intervened, introducing her politely. "This is our boss, Yuan Longxuan."

Liu Erlong's eyes widened further. She hadn't expected to meet him here. Before she could say more, Yuan Longxuan waved Xiao Li aside.

"She'll just handle serving tea. The rest of you may leave."

"Yes, boss."

With the others gone, Ning Fengzhi observed Liu Erlong closely. Her recognition of Yuan Longxuan suggested her identity was not simple. Yet, Ning Fengzhi misjudged....this was merely a coincidental meeting.

"Little one, the people here are all quite influential. Behave yourself, and I'll see about a raise later," Yuan Longxuan teased as they prepared to dine.

"Yes, understood," Liu Erlong said. She had been self-reliant since age six, starting school and earning her own living.

Though now at Soul Master level, her funds from the Martial Soul Hall were insufficient to sustain her lifestyle.

Yuan Longxuan casually produced fifty jars of millennium-aged spirit wine. Ning Fengzhi would likely enjoy them...though whether he could handle it was another matter.

Gu Rong's eyes sparkled upon smelling the wine, and so did Ning Fengzhi's. Only Chen Xin remained composed, having sampled such spirits before.

"Without using soul power, the first to fall drinks like a dog. Dare you?" Yuan Longxuan challenged playfully.

Chen Xin's mind lit up: "Challenge accepted!"

Gu Rong smirked: "I won't hold back!"

Ning Fengzhi: "Fine, with fine wine and food before us, who would avoid it?"

The table was laden with millennium-grade delicacies, including a rare dish even Ning Fengzhi hadn't tasted.....red jade shrimp. The aromas stirred the hunger in all four of them, including the little Liu Erlong.
