Chapter 56 - Chapter 46: Dubai Chocolate Country Shopping Frenzy

The next day, Han Yue and Long Yi's team were ready to set out for their next location—Dubai Chocolate Country—to continue collecting supplies.

Shadow 3 and his entire team had already been instructed to escort Rose (Thorn's real name) back to the Dragon Kingdom, where he would be cared for at the Han family mansion under the Old Butler's watch. Shadow 3's squad would then head to the base construction site for their assigned duties. Shadow 2, meanwhile, continued accompanying Han Yue as her personal bodyguard.

While on the private jet, Han Yue had little Snowball on her lap—wiggling, acting coquettishly, and being unbearably cute. As she scrolled through her phone to check what happened after last night's "Alien Prophecy" post, she burst into laughter at the trending headlines:

"The Sushi Country Is Obsessed With Aliens?"

"The Alien Is a Prophet?"

"The Alien Reads Too Many Novels!"

"A Guide to Survive the End?"

Her personal account had also gone wild—fans were debating if she was hacked. Some wondered if an alien had borrowed her account because of her silly doodle. Others joked that the alien was taking revenge for her drawing skills.

Han Yue giggled non-stop reading the madness. Meanwhile, the baby Snowball was already in Long Yi's arms—quiet and sweet, rubbing his little head on Long Yi's hand as if it had found a new favorite pillow.

Seeing that, Han Yue put down her phone and smiled. Suddenly, a thought struck her. She turned to Long Yi and asked,

"Do you have any ancient-style houses? I want to put one in my space!"

Secretary Wen, who was nearby, subtly twitched his mouth:

"Outrageous thinking as usual… sigh."

But Long Yi didn't seem fazed. While teasing Snowball, he casually replied,

"Yes, there are three. All historic and ancient, hidden from the public. If you want them, we can do a cross-country road trip when we return and visit each one. The gardens are full of exotic herbs and rare plants too."

Han Yue's eyes sparkled.

"Wow! I need to prepare qipaos and ancient-style outfits to match the aesthetic! Hehe! So exciting! When we release the houses in the base later, Grandpa will be so happy!"

Hearing this, Assistant Chen and Liu were already emailing top dressmakers back in the Dragon Kingdom, ordering a warehouse worth of ancient clothes, qipaos, and matching accessories—plus different sizes, since Han Yue was still a growing sixteen-year-old. They also ordered male versions for the Long Family and thermal-lined black robe uniforms for the Shadow Guards and employees.

After briefing Secretary Wen, he simply nodded:

"Good. Make more. And don't forget the Long Family crest logo."

When the plane landed, they were greeted by Shadow 4, Shadow 2 continued as Han Yue's bodyguard. Meanwhile, the two assistants activated their hoarding plan and began booking every available vendor and logistics service to deliver foods, takeouts, and goods to their temporary warehouses.

Han Yue completed her 10 warehouse units and started shopping freely.

She first visited the biggest mall in the city—wide-eyed at the luxury carpets, futuristic electric cars, massive sofas, king-sized beds, and just... everything BIG and luxurious. With a rich-girl wave of her hand, she told the shop attendants:

"I want 50 of each. Send it to my warehouse."

The staff bowed and rushed to fulfill her order. Assistant Chen and Liu handled the logistics, payments, and warehouse addresses.

She moved on to cafes, bakeries, and chocolate shops—there were over 200+ kinds of chocolates, all beautifully handcrafted and unique. She bought out each shop's entire inventory one by one.

Then came the exotic plants and animal section:

Animals: parrots, camels, desert horses, lions, tigers, falcons, ornamental birds, elephants, giraffes, monkeys—she bought 20 of each.

Plants: some were enormous flowers, others had powerful fragrances or bizarre colors, some looked like flower-trees. She bought 40 of each.

She also swept through the luxury perfume stores—unique, native blends—and bought the entire stocks.

Later, they visited a famous restaurant known for lavish table spreads. Together with Shadow 2, the local guide, driver, and her two assistants, they dug into a feast of exotic dishes.

Baby Snowball also nibbled on goat's milk and minced lamb—so adorable!

Han Yue, delighted, asked the chef to prepare three days' worth of food to be delivered in batches. The waiter, unfazed by such orders in this extravagant country, agreed. Preparations began immediately—marinating, kneading, roasting.

Next, Han Yue visited a spice and seed market. Bags and sacks of spices overwhelmed the stalls. Intrigued, she bought the entire supply—along with every kind of spice seed available.

At a camping and survival gear store, she purchased all stocks—gear, tools, even manual electric generators (hand-crank machines!) gifted by the ecstatic shop owner.

Milk tea in one hand, Snowball in the other, Han Yue strolled into a fancy district—only to be stopped by a girl who looked like a spoiled princess. She arrogantly pointed at Snowball:

"Name a price. I want that leopard."

Han Yue didn't even blink.

"No. My baby isn't for sale."

She tried to walk past, but the girl's mercenary-like bodyguard blocked her with his thick arm.

"The princess said she wants it. Hand it over."

Before Han Yue could speak, Shadow 2 acted.

He swiftly dislocated the bodyguard's arm—eliciting a howl of pain. The remaining four guards attacked. Shadow 2:

Kicked one into a wall.

Slammed one into a restaurant table.

Tossed one into a fountain.

Knocked the last out with a head punch.

The "princess" stood frozen, humiliated, eyes burning.

"How dare these lowly peasants defy me?! Just wait, I'll tell my father... hmph!"

She stormed off, escorted by another bodyguard.

As for Han Yue? She and her team casually continued shopping as if nothing had happened. The commotion had startled a few locals, but security and clean-up staff arrived within minutes. In this country of royals, tycoons, and egos, such public scuffles were almost... routine.

After a long, satisfying day, Han Yue returned to her hotel suite. She took a relaxing shower and stretched out in bed. It was already 11 PM.

A perfectly normal day in Chocolate Country.

Part 2

While Han Yue was about to sleep, she suddenly sensed people approaching her hotel room. She narrowed her eyes and extended her spiritual sense—masked, armed men were sneaking toward her room from both the entrance and the balcony.

Calm as ever, a glint of murderous intent flashed in her eyes for a moment. She was about to activate her ice powers when blood splattered at the door.

Shadow 2, along with the team's driver and guide, had swiftly neutralized the intruders. Only one was left, disabled on the floor, trembling in fear. The rest stood silently to the side, unmoving, waiting.

On the bed, Han Yue sat up lazily while gently caressing her baby snowball, whose tiny fur was fluffed up, growling—though it sounded more like an angry meow. So cute.

She asked casually, "Name your master. Don't bother holding back. I already know—it's that arrogant brat from earlier."

The mercenary looked up, seeing her eyes glance down at him like one would look at trash. He trembled and blurted out the truth: His master had ordered him to kidnap Han Yue and her snow leopard to "appease the princess." The father of the princess, a mid-tier arms dealer based in the desert region about two hours away, had approved the plan after his daughter came back crying about the humiliation and disrespect she experienced that afternoon.

The girl had thrown a tantrum, demanding Han Yue be sold as a prostitute and her snow leopard kept as a pet.

Shadow 2 and the others released a chilling aura. "Dare to touch the Young Master's—courting death..."

Han Yue was unsurprised. In the apocalypse, what was morality? What was dignity? You were lucky if you weren't sold off. Power—only power—mattered.

She rubbed her chin and issued an order. "Investigate their headquarters. I want a full mapping of the place in 30 minutes."

"Yes," the men responded in unison before moving out.

Assistant Chen and Liu, standing nearby, were already preparing a new black outfit for Han Yue, and instructed others to clean up the mess. The bodies vanished within minutes. The room looked untouched.

Assistant Liu went ahead to book a new hotel suite, knowing this location had been exposed. Chen, meanwhile, glanced at Han Yue with a knowing expression. He had witnessed how she dealt with her family—cold, efficient, and calculated. He knew she was holding back with them. She wanted them to live long enough to experience the cruelty of the coming world.

Soon, Han Yue was dressed in black, face masked, and ready.

Shadow 2 returned with a detailed report of the target's compound. Without another word, they slipped quietly out of the hotel. Liu and Chen stayed behind to oversee logistics and transfer their equipment.

They drove in two off-road vehicles toward the desert base. In the back seat, Han Yue leaned back lazily. This felt like a stroll in the park—nothing serious. She had professionals with her. As they neared the compound, she returned her snowball to the space. No one would see, and her team wouldn't question her methods anyway.

Guided by the scout, Shadow 2's team moved with silent precision. One by one, they eliminated guards, disabling security systems and destroying all CCTV. They confiscated weapons, handing everything to Han Yue, who collected it into her space with a casual flick of her hand.

Then came the warehouses—brimming with military-grade supplies. Cold weapons, hot weapons, thousands of bullets, grenades, bombs stacked in crates, tanks, helicopters, off-road vehicles—over fifty. A massive haul.

She took it all.

Then they found a second warehouse—food. She collected every bag of grain and meat.

Strolling further, they came across a dimly lit prison cell.

Inside was a man, chained and bloodied, seated on the floor. He looked up and asked with curiosity, "Who are you?"

Han Yue stared at him for a moment. There was something familiar about his eyes.

"I'm shopping," she said.

The man smirked. "There's a hidden warehouse on the east side, under the light post, if you're really shopping."

Han Yue raised a brow. "Check it," she ordered one of the scouts. Shadow 2 stayed beside her.

A few more seconds of studying the man, and she remembered—this was the infamous Purple-Eyed Dealer. He was the reason Dragon Kingdom managed to defend itself in the early apocalypse. Thanks to him, they survived wave after wave of foreign invasions.

Han Yue gave the order to free him.

As they prepared to leave, she told him with a calm voice, "It's time to go home. The world will change in five months~"

Her voice echoed in the empty cell.

The man remained still for a moment, stunned. Then the words hit him. "Go home... five months…"

His eyes sharpened.

He stood, stumbled forward, and exited the prison. Walking through the compound, he saw empty rooms, corpses of the guards, and looted warehouses.

Everything was gone.

He didn't need to ask who did it. He already knew.

He now understood the meaning of her words: five months left to prepare.

He had to return. To Dragon Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Han Yue received confirmation: the hidden warehouse was real. She collected it all.

Then she entered the final chamber—the Boss and the little princess were tied up and kneeling on the floor.

Han Yue walked forward slowly, gently caressing Snowball in her arms.

The girl screamed, "You evil bitch! You won't get away with this!"

The man beside her snarled, "Just you wait! I'll sell you, whor—"

Before he could finish, Han Yue flicked her fingers.

Two ice picks launched forward—clean, precise.

The two collapsed with their eyes wide open. Dead.

Shadow 2 and the others blinked, then returned to their usual silence. No questions. Only obedience.

They proceeded to loot the office. Gold, stacks of cash—everything was taken.

Before leaving, Shadow 2 lit the gasoline. The compound was set ablaze.

Han Yue summoned two cars from her space. They drove away as the fire behind them blazed higher and higher, illuminating the night.

Two hours later, they returned to the new hotel suite arranged by her assistants.

Han Yue stripped off her black outfit, changed into nightwear, and curled up in bed with her baby snowball.

She fell asleep as if nothing had happened.

Part 3: A Desert of Guns, Fire, and Sand Kittens

Han Yue continued her casual shopping and hoarding adventures across the Dubai Chocolate Country. The destruction of the mid-sized arms dealer's headquarters, which had occurred just the night before, was already making waves on the news. Strangely enough, it was being treated like an ordinary occurrence—apparently, in this place, powerful families and armed factions clashing wasn't exactly newsworthy. Having enemies was just part of the game.

Since she was already here, Han Yue decided to take a walk through the vast desert. Dressed lightly, she strolled through the endless dunes under the sun, leisurely collecting large amounts of sand and anything interesting buried beneath it. The desert was more alive than it looked—beneath the surface were hardy root plants, medicinal herbs, and wild desert flora. She even collected poisonous cacti, sand-buried reptiles, lizards, venomous snakes, scorpions, and bugs. All of it was swept up and stored neatly in the desert zone of her jade space.

She even snatched an ancient-looking pyramid, laughing to herself as it vanished with a wave of her hand.

As she walked further, something caught her attention—tiny shadows darting through the sand. Her eyes lit up. Sand kittens! Tiny, golden-furred desert cats, incredibly fast, good at hiding, and excellent at hunting desert mice. "Aww, so cute," she murmured. She crouched down and used a bit of spiritual pressure to herd them up. With a soft wave of her hand, she gathered as many as she could find and gently tossed them all into the desert biome of her space.

After an hour of sand play and satisfying looting, she returned to the hotel. It had already been five days since Long Yi had left for business.

Tonight, he returned.

Han Yue felt oddly happy. Maybe it was the comfort of familiarity in a foreign land.

After taking a cold bath, she stepped out of the bathroom with damp hair, wearing loose, comfortable lounge clothes. At dinner time, the team had already set the table. Long Yi was there, waiting for her. His sharp eyes softened slightly when she entered.

"You okay?" he asked, his tone casual, but she could hear the weight behind it.

Han Yue already knew what he was referring to. Assistant Chen, Liu, or Shadow 2 must've informed him about the mercenary attack and her retaliation. After all, Long Yi was incredibly protective of her.

She sat down, grabbed a roasted lamb skewer, and bit into it with delight. "Mhm. They're all dead," she said nonchalantly, chewing with satisfaction.

Long Yi didn't respond right away. He simply looked at her for a moment, then reached over and placed more food onto her plate.

"Good," he said flatly. "If something angers you—just kill it."

They continued eating dinner as if nothing had happened.

After the meal, Long Yi informed her that they would be flying to the next country as planned.
