Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Fragments of the Past

Location: Brooklyn Naval Yard, Dock 42 – 2:13 AM

Multiversal Instability Level: Severe

The dock was abandoned. Cold. Quiet.

Well—quiet until I arrived with a dramatic Oi! and a flashlight stolen from the janitor's closet.

Bucky stood beside me, scanning the rusted crates with a tactical gaze and an unspoken sigh that said "How did I end up babysitting a cosmic gremlin?"

Answer: Fate. And possibly war crimes.

"So," he muttered, "this is the place?"

"Yup," I said, checking my system interface. "Temporal rift. Static echo. Reality fracture. Classic Tuesday."

Bucky raised a brow. "Normal people go to diners at 2 AM."

"I'm not normal. I'm an event."

[System Update – Temporal Rift Stability: 17%]

Multiversal Convergence Risk: HIGH

Proximity Warning: Multiple unknown dimensional signatures approaching

Recommended Action: Prepare for nonsense.

I reached the edge of the dock.

And I felt it.

A pull. Not gravity. Not the Force. Something else.

A memory echoing from a world I didn't live in—but maybe could've.

Bucky tapped his earpiece. "Still no word from SHIELD."

I looked up. "That's 'cause SHIELD's busy with—"

BOOM.

Across the city, a sonic shockwave split the sky.

Something entered.

Something big.

Cut To: Times Square – 2:14 AM

Crowds screamed.

Cameras snapped.

And descending from the sky like a patriotic angel wrapped in trauma and narcissism—

Homelander.

Cape billowing. Smile fake. Eyes twitching with that "I'm definitely going to snap and laser someone" look.

Behind him, the rest of the Seven emerged one by one—A-Train, Queen Maeve, The Deep (unfortunately), Black Noir, Starlight, and… oh boy.

Soldier Boy.

Civilians scattered as A-Train zipped around like a sugar-rushed mosquito.

The Deep tried to talk to a nearby sewer grate.

Homelander hovered over the chaos, arms folded.

"This isn't Vought Tower," he muttered. "What is this?"

Queen Maeve adjusted her armor. "Alternate Earth?"

Starlight checked her phone. "Okay, this version of Instagram is way more toxic."

[Multiverse Collision Registered – Earth-75B (The Boys Universe)]

Entities of Note: Homelander, The Seven

Threat Level: Catastrophic if provoked

Status: Passive observation… for now.

Cut Back to Rowan – Dock 42

I felt it in the Force. A ripple. Like someone had spilled bleach in the multiversal pool.

"...Oh for kriff's sake," I muttered. "Now they're here?"

Bucky turned. "Who's here?"

"Imagine Captain America's evil clone got drunk with Superman's ego and birthed a megalomaniac in a cape," I said.

Bucky squinted. "...Steve?"

"Worse. Homelander."

[New Quest Chain Unlocked – "Supes on the Streets"]

Objective 1: Don't attract Homelander's attention

Objective 2: Find the First Fragment

Optional: Keep Anastasia from making this weirder

Bucky tensed. "We need to move. Now."

I nodded, and together we stepped into the center of Dock 42.

The rift pulsed.

And it opened.

Inside was not a place.

It was a vision.

A fragment.

A memory.

Of Coruscant. Of a Jedi Temple. Of a small boy staring into the stars with the name Rowan Skywalker on his lips.

[Fragment Recovered – Jedi Progenitor]

Memory Echo: "He was never meant to be born… but he was."

Force Potential: Unquantifiable

Unlocking Power Tree: Force Clairvoyance (Limited)

I staggered back, breath caught.

The Force swirled around me.

And for a moment—just one—

I saw Anakin Skywalker watching me through the veil of time.

He said nothing.

But his eyes… they understood.

Back in the city, Homelander turned toward the horizon.

His smile vanished.

And he whispered:

"Who the hell is that?"

I'd just touched the Force-memory ghost of a life I never lived and stared into the eyes of a father I never knew.

And now?

Now I could feel Homelander coming.

Not flying. Not tracking. Just existing somewhere out there—like a second sun waiting to burn.

Bucky tapped a rusted shipping container, checking for motion sensors. His metal arm whined slightly.

"Tell me that vision didn't fry your brain," he muttered.

I was sitting on a crate, still dazed.

"No more than usual," I said. "Just saw the inside of a Jedi Temple, met a version of me who wore robes instead of hoodies, and probably unlocked the first stage of Force clairvoyance. So… average Tuesday."

"You're seventeen."

"I'm genre-aware. There's a difference."

[System Log – Memory Fragment: Jedi Progenitor Acquired]

Status Effect: Cognitive Drift (Mild)

Side Effect: Elevated Force Perception, Limited Time Sight, Memory Leak

New Ability: Force Echo Reading unlocked

Warning: Multiversal anomalies are attracted to origin triggers.

Translation: You lit a beacon, dumbass.

I stood slowly, brushing off dirt and vague existential dread. "He's looking for me."

"Who?"

"Homelander."

Bucky stiffened.

I kept going. "He doesn't know who I am yet. But he knows I'm here. His whole… whatever that warped supes-sense is? It's pinging."

"Then we need to disappear."

"Too late."

Cut to: Midtown – Rooftop Overlooking the Skyline

Homelander hovered, arms folded, eyes glowing faintly as he scanned the city with a predator's patience.

Behind him, Black Noir crouched motionless. A-Train zipped between rooftops, restless.

Maeve lit a cigarette.

"This city doesn't have Vought," she said. "It doesn't even know us."

Homelander didn't answer.

His gaze was locked on the horizon.

"I felt it," he murmured. "That thing. That anomaly. It's human. And not."

Maeve glanced sideways. "You sure it isn't just another reality bleed?"

"No," Homelander said softly. "This one feels like me. Or worse—like someone who could challenge me."

That made Maeve pause.

Nothing ever challenged Homelander.

Cut to: Jersey Docks – 2:45 AM

A black van pulled up near the waterfront. Scratched. Armored. Held together by duct tape and cynicism.

The sliding door opened.

Billy Butcher stepped out, chewing a piece of gum like it owed him money.

Behind him, Frenchie popped the trunk. Kimiko leapt out with zero noise. MM was checking gear.

Hughie? Already on his second panic-induced energy drink.

"Tell me again," Hughie muttered, "why the hell are we chasing Homelander through multiverse holes like sci-fi Scooby-Doo?"

"'Cause I like watchin' him squirm," Butcher growled. "And I heard there's another wildcard in this town."

He pulled out a grainy screenshot from a SHIELD satellite: me, standing beside Bucky in the Brooklyn yard.

"Rowan Skywalker," he said, shaking his head. "What a name."

MM squinted. "Skywalker? Like Star Wars?"

Frenchie: "That does not exist here, mon ami."

Hughie: "Great. A Force-wielding teenager with reality-breaking powers and a drama fetish. This'll end well."

Cut to: Rowan & Bucky – Dock 42, Abandoned Sub-Level

We'd moved deeper underground, trying to stay off the radar. The lower levels of Dock 42 were part of some old Stark project—half-built tunnels, automated defense rigs offline, and an eerie smell of rust, ozone, and narrative tension.

"System," I whispered. "Scan for more fragments."

[Scanning…]

Result: No fragment detected.

However: Unstable reality pocket located 0.7km west.

Signature: Unknown. Energy profile matches "Compound V."

"...Oh, hell."

Bucky looked up. "What?"

"I think the multiverse just imported steroids."

Meanwhile – Anastasia POV – Queens Rooftop

Anastasia sat cross-legged, eyes closed, humming softly as the wind swirled around her. The stars blinked overhead, some familiar, others new—or wrong.

The system inside her pulsed faintly. Still nerfed. Still evolving. But it whispered to her.

More than that, it whispered about him.

Rowan. In another world, you chose me. In every world, you still burn brightest to me.

She smiled.

"I'll protect you, niichan," she whispered. "From Jean. From Xavier. From these new ones… the ones with capes and screams."

Then she opened her eyes.

And vanished in a blink of Force-augmented motion.

Next: Rowan meets Butcher. Anastasia tracks Starlight. Homelander stalks from above.
