It's nearly evident that Jin is standing in the ruins of a town and that someone or something came through, destroying anything in their path.
"No doubt this is some kind of Hell. Possibly even my own personal Hell."
Jin continues to look around, seeing multiple people dead and blood all around—a katana in the middle of all the carnage.
"A katana? Well, I guess I had better hold onto this before something goes wrong."
Jin reaches his hand out, grabbing onto the katana's hilt, a burst of energy exploding from the katana, a skull rising from the hilt, and Jin's hand.
"ANOTHER DEMON COMES TO DESTROY WHAT WE'VE BUILT. WHAT A MONSTER," a voice calls from behind Jin.
Jin turns around, still holding the katana, blood dripping off his coat from when Jin shot Mori. The katana had blood on it, sprinkled down the blade, indicating how it had been used to fight whatever had come for the people. A knight stood in front of him, holding a sword at his hip.
"A demon?" Jin makes a face of confusion, "I'm not sure I understand."
"Don't understand? What are you talking about… You are blatantly a demon… look at all the carnage around you."
"I didn't do this. I've killed a fair share of people, but these people are far from my kills," Jin gazes around, saying this.
"So you admit you are a Demon and a killer?" The knight raises his sword, pointing it towards Jin.
"I am far from a Demon… I am a human," Jin says, lifting a hand and scratching the back of his head.
"You're not a human… look at your hair and your eyes, silver isn't a color humans can obtain." The knight says his grip is tightening on the sword. The sound of him gritting his teeth echoes around them.
Jin blows a small hair out of his face, gripping the katana tighter. I am going to kill this fool. I am human, I am a man just the same as him.
"Are you going to attack me, or just keep pointing that sword until I die of boredom?"
"YOU DARE MOCK ME DEMON!?"
The Knight's hand clenches on the sword.
"You're the one pointing a blade at me and not acting on it."
Jin smirks, pointing the katana at the knight.
The Knight lunges out, swinging his sword. A divine white trail follows the blade.
Jin blocks the attack, stumbling backwards before stabilizing himself again.
"I think we are for introductions… I am Kuroryu Jin, Leader of the Black Dragon."
"I am Aurelwyn Theon, a holy knight of Elyon, the divine god of light. AND MY NAME IS THE LAST NAME YOU'LL HEAR!!"
Theon picks up his blade, preparing another attack. A divine white aura develops around him and the blade.
Jin lifts the katana, preparing to strike a lethal blow. Slow calculations race through his head on the most effective spot to hit.
"I'm not sure what you are, nor why you won't use any magic, but I'm going to kill you and redeem this world of the evil you've brought here."
"Look, Theon, I am human just the same as you. We are ultimately on the same side."
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH," Theon springs at Jin, swinging his sword, the white aura following behind, tracing Theon's every move.
"YOU'RE CLUMSY," Jin screams as he stabs the crack between Theon's chestplate and faulds.
Theon falls to the ground, his eyes dropping, and Jin removes the blade from Theon's abdomen. Blood spews everywhere, and a pool begins to form.
"Is this really what I died for?"
Jin whips around to see the ghost of his brother, Mori, staring him in the eyes, and a frown builds on Mori's face.
"How disappointing, Jin… I expected you to do the right thing with this new life… Maybe you are just a monster."
Jin's eyes widened, mouth gaping open. He stumbles backward, tripping over Theon, who lies bleeding and unconscious.
It cannot be… how is this possible… Mori? My brother? Alive? No, we are both dead; that has to be the explanation.
"So we both ended up in Hell? I guess that's what happens when you're related to a tyrant."
"No, Jin, I went to heaven… and you aren't dead."
"What? I'm… not dead?" Jin stutters the blood from Theon, finally reaching Jin.
"How about you make better choices and save this young knight?"
"Mori, this is blatantly some kind of Hell… I can't be alive."
"You're alive… didn't you talk with the woman?"
What is he talking about? No… she sent me to Hell. So how am I still alive?
Jin grabs Mori, his hand going straight through him as he falls to his knees.
"You can't be dead, you just can't."
"I want you to make a promise to me,e Jin."
"But Mori, you can't be dead… I can't be alive without you."
"I don't have much time, Jin… I want you to make a promise to me."
"W-what do you want?"
"Make good choices in this world… be a hero… be the hero I needed."
"You have my word…Mori"
"Then start her."
Jin looks over, grabbing some cloth off of Theon and applying pressure to the wound he inflicted.
"What do I do from here, Mori? I've never saved someone like this… I don't know what to do."
"Just wrap the wound up with some cloth, he isn't bleeding internally, so it should be fine, Jin."
Jin wraps cloth around Theon's abdomen, tightly covering the wound. Theon jolts awake, grabbing at his stomach where Jin stabbed him.
Theon looks at Jin's hesitation, which is evident. He begins reaching for his sword, sitting a few meters away.
"I'm not going to hurt you."
"So you saved me? Why? Aren't you a demon?"
"I'm not a demon… At least I don't think I am."
"You said your name was Jin, right?"
"Yup, that is spot on. I'm Kuroryu Jin, Leader of the Black Dragon."
"Say, would you be one of those Dragon Spirits?"
"I'm not sure what that is…"
"According to legend, they live way up north in the mountains. Supposedly, they all have perfectly silver hair and wield a special type of magic that no one else can obtain."
"Now that's interesting… anything else you know about them?"
"The only other thing I know is that they had an alliance with the elves roughly a hundred years ago."
"That's good to know… now the real thing I need to know is about these demons, why do you hate them, and why instantly go for a fight?"
"Wait, you don't know? How can you possibly not know?"
"Honestly, it's a long story, but in short, I'm not from this world."
"Ya, ok, pal, whatever you say."
Jin looks over at him with a smirk on Theon's face as he sits up. Jin's face is still cold and emotionless.
"I need to know before I decide on what to do, Theon."
"It's a war… This war has raged on for hundreds of years. No one alive was around for the start, we just carried on till we found an end."
"A war? Like humans and demons just fight constantly?"
"Spot on… but I'm not sure why we fight to be completely honest, they have their own gods and social structure apart from us."
"Sounds normal between two factions of the world."
"Ya, but this is different, there aren't many differences between us and them. I think we fight because we are different… but they are so ruthless I'm not sure there could ever be peace."
"I've seen many countries and nations say the same thing… and yet all of them ended up in peace."
"At least you're optimistic about it, Jin."
"Someone told me to make better choices not too long ago, so maybe being optimistic is the right choice."
"I can see it…You've been through a lot."
"I think it's better to say I've done a lot."
Theon shifts, tilting his head slightly, looking up at Jin. Jin stares into the distance, his stance and expression unwavering.
Would I have been better off not forming the Black Dragon?
"So do you wanna talk about it, Jin?"
"I created and led an organization named the Black Dragon."
"Interesting choice for a name"
"and this organization worked the streets of Shibuya, and even funded many of the businesses there."
"So you guys were the good guys?"
"I wouldn't say we were good."
"OH, ya? And what would you say?"
"To be honest, I would say we were Bad. While many people benefited from us, we also caused many people to be murdered or killed. We even killed people ourselves."
"Sometimes people have to die to achieve a greater outcome."
"We weren't killing to make the world better… We killed to preserve what we had, and to force others to gain what we desired."
"Reminds me of the royal family. They murdered hundreds to gain power, and I'm pretty sure their arrogance is what makes this war rage on."
"Sounds exactly how I acted. I killed and tore families and people's worlds apart for my ego. Sounds like I was right… I shouldn't have taken the path I did."
"Your scars are what build you as a person. Don't forget that Jin."
"I could've spared a lot of lives, and even saved myself from the terror I put myself through."
"Blood is spilled every day… all that matters is that in the end there was a benefit."
"That doesn't justify anything for me, Theon. I will carry my sins and hold my brother's words till I die."
Jin turns, facing Theon, his expression as cold. Jin reaches out his hand to Theon, his expression unwavering.
"Theon, will you take me somewhere I can find some answers to the Dragon Spirits? Might as well find information on the people I look so similar to."
"Sounds like a plan."
Theon takes Jin's hand, standing up as the two look each other eye to eye.
Death is reasonable when the time calls… correct, Mori?
